According to new reports, some of the GameCube games that will launch on Nvidia Shield in China are not ported or running natively, they’re instead emulated on the console.

Zelda: Twilight Princess for example, is said to be running on an emulator on the Shield, which means Nintendo has a GameCube emulator that works on the Nvidia Shield architecture — the same architecture that the Switch uses.

This could be the first real indication that Nintendo plans to add GameCube Virtual Console games on the Switch.

However, they might need more work, because the Nvidia Shield is technically more powerful than the Switch, which features the same processors but are downclocked on the Switch to preserve battery life.

If true, which GameCube games would you love to see on the Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments section below!
