The Wii U hasn’t performed as well as Nintendo hoped last year after a strong launch, but that hasn’t stopped Nintendo from reassuring current and potential customers. Nintendo of America tweeted today that a Nintendo Direct before the start of E3 will address the three main games most people are looking forward to, including the new Smash Bros., 3D Mario, and Mario Kart.

This Nintendo Direct will air sometime before the E3 trade show that begins on June 10th. The Nintendo Direct will probably coincide with the promotion that Nintendo has revealed, where certain E3 demos for unreleased games will be playable in select Best Buy locations across the country.

    Alright! Just give it time so that it can gather info and details about it. We all don’t need to let them rush and by then its going to be messed up. Lets hope that they can give new light about characters and so on 🙂

    I already read an article about this on another website.

    E3 is on June 11th and they are rumored to discuss these games on June 10th.

    They are rumored to air another Direct the following day at E3 called E3 Direct.

    They are also rumored to have another Direct on June 12th

    And then another one on June 13th.

    4 Nintendo Direct’s in 1 week. If Nintendo does this than Sony and Microsoft’s big conference will look small compared to Nintendo’s 4 Directs

      Then why not just have a Press Confrence? That’s a pretty stupid decision. Only Nintendo fans are going to watch these Nintendo Directs online. Other gamers will be too distracted by the actual E3 Presentations.

        Nintendo will air a Nintendo Direct AT E3 which means that everyone watching E3 will watch Nintendo’s E3 Direct and can watch the other Directs after E3. This is a smart move, not a stupid one. A big conference is more expensive and worse than Nintendo Direct. 4 of these will make other E3 presentations look small.

    E3 is getting closer and I’m getting excited to see the progress Nintendo are making on their titles. I am also glad they take their time with their IP’s. It might sometimes be a long wait, but getting their titles when they are given the care they deserve makes it worth it when they are polished, fun and just work. Other companies should take notice and not rush games and throw them out still broken needing months of patches to fix. Games are works of art and like great art it should be appreciated and cared for. not thrown out for a quick buck. Patience = Quality. Thanks Nintendo ^_^

  • Once this effort fails, then maybe Nintendo will be forced to admit defeat. I have a feeling that all who were waiting on Nintendo’s own games already bought the Wii U.

      Nintendo dealt with far more gaming electronics and generations thsn either Sony n M’soft. Nintendo are fine, and these games will happily jump sales. Little doubt about it

    • Not true there are alot of people waiting on the big first party titles before buying a Wii U, just like there where some early adopters of Xbox 360 the main crowd of Xbox fans came after the big first party titles came out (Halo 3). The same will happen with the Wii U.As 3rd party games come out sales will steadily pick back up then the big 1st party titles will release and sales will increase greatly.

      I know I shouldn’t feed the troll, but I know quite a few people who don’t own a Wii U who are looking to buy one. For most, the obstacle has been price. For the others, they’re waiting for the big 1st party titles
