Zen Studios have announced that the Wii U version of Zen Pinball 2 will be receiving a rather large update in the coming days, on August 28. Another table based on the Telltale series’ The Walking Dead will be released as well.

Mel Kirk, Zen Studios’ VP of Publishing says they’re huge supports of the Wii U and that this update is only a small piece of their commitment to the platform in going forward.

We’re huge supporters of the Wii U, and have worked to ensure a great pinball experience across the board for our fans on the systemThis table update is only a small piece of our ongoing future commitment to the platform, so be ready for more announcements coming soon.

Fans who want to get their hands on these new tables will be able to do so on August 28 at a starting price of $2.99/€2,99/£2.49.

    This makes me very happy.

I own this on the 360 & xbone, and it is awesome!!! The Guardians of the Galaxy table is great, as is the Plants vs Zombies table. If you are a pinball fan, do not hesitate…it’s great!!

Finally some support! Looks like they’re finally sticking to their promise and supporting the game with updates and dlc.

Unlike Ubisoft and Activision’s broken promises, Zen Studios is truly supporting Nintendo and the Wii U. The same goes to Koei-Tecmo with Hyrule Warriors and Platinum Games Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta HD.

Koei Tecmo has snubb Wii U for its two upcoming Warrior games despite wanting Hyurle Warriors to make Zelda Fans in Warrior fans, we have nothing coming to us after Hyrule Warriors. Samurai Warriors 3 was Wii exclusive but 4 is coming to all Sony platforms. We didnt get Dead or Alive Ultimate either. I think there is a Kamen Rider Warriors came coming to Wii U and PS3 in Japan but that will never come out over here.

      • Stuart Thomas

I wouldn’t worry too much, i think they poured a lot of love into Hyrule Warriors. So I’m not complaining.

      • uPadWatcher

At least they’re planning to release Fatal Frame to the Wii U in Japan next month.

        • abe

yeah but nintendo has helped fund and develop that

Too bad… after realistic sports games, pinball games are next on the list: rather do it in reals.

    • uPadWatcher

Not entirely true at all. Zen Studios have already kept its words and support for Nintendo…. unlike the other developer who had failed to keep their promise in making The Pinball Game.

Did you read the comment, or didn’t you just understand it?
I have nothing against the developer, just my personal opinion of those kind of games overall.
