The team at NinjaBee have posted an update on their blog stating that their original Xbox LIVE title A World for Keflings will be brought to Wii U at some point over the next few months. While no release date is given, it’s nice to see indie developers continue to focus their efforts on the Wii U.

“In the next couple of months, A World of Keflings will make the jump to Wii U. Even now, brave Kefling explorers are sailing toward the famed land of ‘Nintendo,’ where the mighty and legendary Miis are said to rule.”

It’s likely that the player’s avatar will take advantage of Nintendo’s Mii system, as the original game took advantage of the Xbox 360’s avatars.

  • Loved it on XBLA and am excited to get some replay time with it with the WiiU. Can’t wait to see my goofy Mii tromping around in that world again.

  • This game interests me. I’llhave to take a closer look :3

That’s really old news. The game was announced for release in 2013 almost a year ago.

Even the new release window was announced almost 3 weeks ago.

More of these ports please Nintendo and please Capcom, port over Okami HD

Which one?, keffs or Ammy? πŸ™‚ both great but Okamiiii Ammy is another plane of existence entirely, it’s gorgeous, I really want some point and clicks too πŸ™ I wonder if we’ll ever see something like sam and max, monkey island or toonstruck come to the eshop or vc, since Wii catered to more than just Nintendo consoles.

Than maybe you can explain it to me because I’m really not sure what I’m looking at, is this an RPG, is it a bunch of mini games, one of those top down point and clicky games?

Okami HD on the Wii U would get my coins in a second. That’s another game I think would work really well with touchscreen functionality.

The paintbrush worked wonders with the Wii, I can’t even imagine what it would be like on the gamepad, need more games like this, even if it’s just ports, just to showcase what the gamepad is all about outside of offtv play, this is why I say they need more media based apps to appeal to different audiences, outside of Okami, I would like to see a game like Muramasa, that was an amazing game on the wii, they could have like touch screen special attacks or something by drawing on the gamepad, I dunno lol I’m babbling, we need something though πŸ˜€ my vote is still on a Wii U version of Rollercoaster tycoon 3, those sort of games plus point and click adventures could really attract a few casual pc gamers, I should know, I am one lol

Haha, well timed and playful. This title should be a good fit for the platform.

So after hanging out with xbox avatars, the keflings are meeting the “mighty miis”?
    Funny concept!
