Today Nintendo confirmed release windows for both Game & Wario and The Wonderful 101 by Platinum Games as within the first half of 2013. Game & Wario is a  mini-game collection similar to WarioWare and The Wonderful 101 is a crowd-control action game. No concrete info has been released but both of these titles were up in the air before the announcement. Now fans can expect to experience them before spring is over.

Wii Fit U and Pikmin 3 are expected to arrive in the same period though no specific dates have been set for those titles either.

    I thought Pikmin 3 was coming Q2… http://wiiudaily.com/2012/12/pikmin-3-wii-fit-u-coming-in-q2-2013/
Has this changed? Is it Q1 again?

    • Hey Leo, they’ve both been moved up by Nintendo, but don’t expect them before April.

Thanks for the update I was confused. I thought the article was saying Game and Wario and Wonderful 101 would come first quarter when it actually says first half. Makes sense now

eShop demos would be nice while we are made to wait!

You know ‘ol Nintendo. They’ll bring ’em the following Thursday AFTER the launch dates.

This is old news.  And by now we can’t take Nintendo’s word for any game being “set” for a specific date.

I’ve never known Nintendo to release their first party games on time. Ever. So that’s nothing new. As far as third party games, I’m not so sure it’s all Nintendo’s fault it wasn’t ready… I’m sure it’s some quality control issue on both parties side. I’d rather wait for a well polished game that I can enjoy, rather than something that was rushed to meet a target date. Of course as someone said above a demo would be nice.. I mean we’ve already seen the Wonderful 101 in action and I’ve been eager to play that one since I’ve read about it. 🙂

Pretty sure you read that article incorrectly (you should have read the PR).  Those two titles are due out the first half of the year, not Q1.
