Nintendo UK has released a press release that asks fans one simple question: What do you want to see in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD? The game is scheduled to launch later this year, but Nintendo is keen to please fans with the title, so it’s asking what features people most want to see. We know Off-TV play will be supported, as well as integration with the Miiverse, but what other features would you like to see? Some features Nintendo are considering include:

  • Bring back cut content
  • The ability to change difficulty levels
  • Make sailing more fun

Let us know in the comments what features you want to see included!

  • jay

The question is rather, What I don’t want:

    That damn boring triforce-hunting section!!

  • Joe

Bring back the 2 scrapped dungeons instead of the Triforce shard quest

    • jay

      Triforce shard sucked.

I also wanna see REAL islands, big ones with vast forests/caves/mini dungeons to explore πŸ˜€

      • Joe

I think a Wind Waker Master Quest would be pretty fun – and likely if they want to change difficulty levels.

        • Nintedward

That’s what I was going to type but someone beat me to it πŸ™‚ .

Having Ocarina and Ocarina Masterquest is almost like 2 totaly different Zelda Games!
That would be the best thing they could do.

Can’t wait for WW remake , but the fact they’re asking us what we want makes me think this game might not be ready to come out this year πŸ™

What I want most is an exstensive gameplay trailer in the upcoming Directs!

          • Joe

Sorry Nintendward! πŸ™‚ Hopefully they stick to the Q3 2013 release date.. I’m hoping for September due to the massive worldwide release of Pokemon X and Y in October

          • Squid

          • Nintedward

Yeah we can hope and dream for sometime this year.

          • Veries Seals

lmao, dont panic, the extra request could always end up being DLC to extend game play. So in that since the game could hit on time and they can add extras over time.

          • Nintedward

It was from Nintendo UK and they said they don’t know anything about the Game. I think they were just asking us what we hope will end up being in the game , not asking for suggestions…

Hopefully the game launches this year πŸ˜€

          • Veries Seals

I am sure it will it is important for Nintendo to release some heavy hitters this year. Zelda will be be one.

      • greengecko007

I guess I’m in the minority because I actually liked the triforce quest. I loved busting through hordes of enemies in the Outset dungeon, crawling through the sewer’s on my private island, and blasting apart enemy ships. I thought it spiced up the gameplay from the typical, oh you need these pieces? Here’s that many more dungeons.

        • flovv

          Liked it to!!
Though I would really like more islands!

          • greengecko007

More islands, more sidequests, etc. would be nice, but we may be getting ahead of ourselves. If Nintendo brings just the three main things in the article, I’d consider it worth a purchase.

          • Jon

doubt we’d get more islands, maybe changed but even then, it is a remake but if they add the stuff that was removed, harder modes, it would be pretty sweet, I honestly hope they keep the triforce quest as well as add the removed dungeons.

          • jay

I don’t want MORE islands I want LARGER ones. Some of the tiny specs on the quest map were a joke.

Wind Waker lacked the exploration felt in Ocarina or Twilight Princess.

    • val berger

I wouldn’t mind both. the triforce shards would work as sidequest, but not as replacement for 2 dungeons!

      • val berger

by the way, I think, if they don’t include all three points, then there’s something going wrong here.
They are obviously aware of those wishes of their community, so if they would only include 1, players would automatically (at least after they’ve participated at this voting) feel like the other two were missing. And starting that poll a few months before they are releasing the final game doesn’t really seem like they are thinking about including or not including those features. my guess is, very soon they’ll announce something like ‘surprise, surprise, we’re including all three of em!’
Wouldn’t really make any sense otherwise, would it? Let’s hope not.

      • Dampf

        Yes, I agree!

      • Jon

yeah, I think both would be great.

      • EcksDee

I agree on this. (Based on not reading all the comments) The triforce completion could be giving you a damage boost with your sword if it would not be linked to the story.

        • val berger

          oh yes! =)
I guess if they inplement everything, they could just call it something like a Director’s Cut Edition. I am personally not really sure if I’d buy it, if they wouldn’t include the dungeons. I would be too disappointed as Nintendo UK already teased us with mentioning that in their poll and if they wouldn’t put them in, it would, again, just not feel complete. The original game was great, but still I’d need a better reason than just HD to play it again. And as Zeldadungeons just always were masterpieces of leveldesign, two of them would be reason enough =)

      • val berger

Oh no, as user Eric posted here, this whole thing is fake:
Would be cool if WiiUdaily could update that.

    • Fred

I just want it released ASAP. Both for myself and for anyone considering a Wii U. If they can add things without lengthening how long it’ll take to finish the game then GREAT, but if it’s going to make the release date later DON’T DO IT!!!
We’ve had enough games postponed already
      Pikmin 3
      Game & Wario
      Wonderful 101
      Rayman Legends
      Wii Fit U
We don’t need to add Wind Waker to that list

      • Joe

I know what you mean man. Wind Waker is without a doubt one of my favourite Nintendo titles, and I don’t want to wait any longer to play it reborn on Wii U

    • I want me in the game

    • derek

i would appreciate a master’s quest version personally

    • Nicolas Dorion

well i would prefer to see both because the triforce shard quest was really awesome and made it less repetitive… i wouldn’t want wind waker to become dungeons after dungeons after dungeons

    • Einar

I thought this was the cut content mentioned in the article.

  • juancamiloarq

Definitely the content that was cut due to disk space and, please, more dungeons and an explorable underwater Hyrule! I’d love to revisit Kokiri Forest now that it is all flooded.

  • Tecpedz94

Ya the making sailing more fun is a must!! Also can anyone explain what they mean by cut content. Thanks πŸ™‚

  • What exactly does Nintendo think making the sailing more fun entails? Adding a minigame to sailing? Shaking the Wii-mote to go forward? Blowing on the sail to move your boat?

  • Clel

Aww… I’m touched that Nintendo would ask us this. Thank you Nintendo.

    • jay

am i the only one that read that while looking at his yoshi avatar?

  • D.M.T

Just include everything and give us a release date already.

Why is Nintendo making us choose? Put everything or just put whatever you want in the game, I don’t care just as long as the game is good.

I’m sick and tired of negative articles about Wii U. Give gamers a reason to buy a Wii U Nintendo. HURRY UP!!!

    • Rob Lucci

How is this a negative article?

      • D.M.T

I never said this is negative article dude -_-

I said I’m tired of 3rd party Devs talking crap about Wii U and lying about the Wii U.

I’m also sick of games skipping the Wii U, like WWE 2K14.

Just complete Wind Waker HD already so that more people can buy a Wii U. I don’t care what features are in the game, just include them all or don’t include any of them.

Sorry I’m in a shitty mood today and I was hoping for the Wii U to make my day but I got more stressed out.

    • greengecko007

If you’re sick and tired of negative articles, don’t read them. On this site at least, there are much more positive articles than negative ones anyways.

      • swic11

but i can see what he means… we have nothing but articles from multiple sites bashing the U, and then we have this site and a few others talking it up, but what good is it doing? I have mine, I bought into what Nintendo is feeding us, but where in the fuck are the games that I want….

        Get the games out period

The funniest thing about the Wii U launch was that Nintendo stated that they were going to “Not have a launch problem like the 3DS we learned from our mistakes of not having good software”

Bullshit… Yes we have a few good games but where is everything else?

And hate on me all you want I have Monster Hunter, ZombiU, Mario, NintendoLand, Madden13, Trine 2, Lego City, Sonic Allstar racing…. but holy hell lets get with the damn program and bring out some games

        • greengecko007

Oh believe me, I’m not hating on you. I agree with everything that you just said. Nintendo messed up with the Wii U launch by not having games ready, and relying on 3rd parties to start supporting them better. Would it have been better to release the Wii U this year and avoid all the flack they have gotten? Maybe, but then they wouldn’t have gotten a head start by getting feedback from fans. I know it sounds like bullshit to say every month, “the good games are coming”, but they really are. But it definitely would have been nice if they were already ready.

          • swic11

whats the point in getting a head start though, when they only took about two steps from the starting line. I will personally be buying the new Xbox this year.. so that’s already 1 sold for Microsoft And if they have all of the 3rd party support because they sell more consoles… that’s less games i will be buying on my Wii U

  • HappyMaskSalesman

    Bring back cut content
The ability to change difficulty levels
    Make sailing more fun

That sounds pretty great to me.

add the happy mask salesmen and some mask selling side quests. Imagine trying to find the ONE PERSON in the WHOLE OCEAN who wants the Keaton mask. That’s be way fun.

  • DeedsGaming .

The change of difficulty levels would be nice to see, Making sailing more fun would also be good seeing as it takes up a large portion of the game.

On a stronger note, Nintendo PLEASE release some footage of the game because I’ve pre-ordered it and with no release date and no gameplay footage, I’ve started to get worried, PLEASE.

  • tronic307

All of those suggestions would be nice, but I really want to finally see the lost dungeons. Thanks in advance, Nintendo.

  • use tingle tuner with the wiiu for treasures and maybe some other outfits

  • David Kumapayi

1.Customization with the boat. 2. A lot of weapons controlled by the Wii u game pad. 3. Making the monster harder and more challenging. 4. Ability to make the boat go faster turbo boost maybe :). 5 A even deeper fighting arena in outset with better treasure. New items to obtain and two big dungeons to get both half of the triforce with really hard boss monster after all is the tri force after all.
Keep on with the hard work Nintendo the texture of the game looks amazing. I bought a gamecube and zelda wind waker just out of pure excitement. Wii U cant wait πŸ™‚

  • JosΓ© Abraham Cervantes Posadas

The same core game and maybe orchested music

  • Seff Deschain

How about having Tingle decode your maps for free since he enjoys doing it so much and if he doesn’t the world will end? That was the only thing I hated in that game. I had gone around and collected all the map pieces, then I went to tingle and his outrageous prices kept me shooting a damn fish for hours and hours coming up with enough rupees to pay that effin fairy wannabe off.

  • akedaveo

Achievements. Before Wii U came out there was talk of this. Lets make it happen.

    • D.M.T

Why is everyone obsessed with achievements? Just play the game.

You play games for fun, not to achieve things.

      • Ernie Sanguyo

i think achievement is cool since it’ll show all the games you’ve played and records what’s you’ve done.

      • akedaveo

The great thing about achievements is if you don’t like them you can ignore them. There are many people who like the added replay value they can give. Considering Nintendo is asking what players would like to see included and there has been talk on their end, prior to Wii U’s release, it seems to be a good place to add them in if they are going to.

        • Majora

          • akedaveo

Why so mad? If you don’t like them called Achievemnts because it sounds too much like Xbox or Steam why not call them something else then like Milestones or Honors. Why not give some kind of award for doing something outside the normal gameplay such as a speed run? You can even tie it into the Miiverse and expand upon something already in place. All the consoles and PC have things they do well. Why wouldn’t you as a gamer want more features brought to your games and consoles?

I’m also sorry you didn’t like Assassin’s Creed. I don’t own an Xbox so I can’t speak to that but it is a lot of fun on my Wii U.

    • Don

You like achievements? Go buy an Xbox.

      • akedaveo

Why the hate? If its added in it affects you in no way whatsoever. Nintendo has already spoken about adding them so why not add them with this game?

  • tim

im i the only one who liked the sailing and feel of the vast sea

    • greengecko007

I enjoyed the sailing a lot in WW. I loved the weather effects, the music, the naval combat against water enemies, and just the epic feels. Never understood why people thought sailing was so boring, and the false notion that it takes up a large part of the game.

      • Silent

You got the misconception wrong. Most Zelda fans (Not haters or nostalgia fags) dont like having to play the Wind Waker to change wind direction. Also, the eight shard quest is not just long and tedious, but also unnecessary.

        • greengecko007

Changing the wind directon takes about 30 seconds, and you only have to change it if it’s blowing against you. As for the triforce quest, I quite enjoyed it. I know that other people don’t like it, but it definitely wasn’t unnecessary. The triforce had a major part in the finality of the story.

          • Silent

Waste half a minute to change wind. Unnecessary.

        • Donny

I think what you mean to say is that most zelda fans hate doing anything complicated or that requires skill.

          • Legend of Zelda games are one of few remaining games that require cognitive skills to play. It’s not just button mashing, trigger pushing. The dungeons require you to think them out. But nothing should be done over and over again.

          • Silent

No, Having to travel a thousand times to get a map and a thousand more times to get the actual triforce shard is unnecessary.

        • jay

the shard quest seemed like filler. I think they threw it in there because they ran out of time.

          • Majora

they didnt threw it originally there was a dungeon for the shards but if they had added it there would be more dungeons than usual so they just did the triforce quest instead plus it was more challenging than a dungeon so i think they should just make some tips on how to find them and lower the price for tingle or make it free

  • Adrian

Never played this game, but would always love (in any game) more difficulty levels and more weapons or weapon upgrades. but more than anything, adding specific functionality to make use of the gamepad in a fun and innovative way. That would be awesome. Way more awesome than off-tv play.

  • pfff

Is there a poll or something somewhere!?

Anyway I’d like to see the scrapped content AND the different difficulties. I really liked “hero mode” in Skyward Sword and OoT Master Quest πŸ˜€

  • Captinn2

    Master Quest TvT

  • Hirgie

If i remember correctly the game on gamecube has been pretty short so bringing back cut content seems to be a must have.

But the other two options are tempting, too!

Loved the music on sailing, everytime i hear it, my mind is at sea πŸ˜‰

  • Miguel Angel Barrueta HernΓ‘nde

switch to 1st person when I rise the gamepad, that way when hunting for pictographs you can aim faster and precisely πŸ™‚

    • jay

      HOLY MOLY!!

  • Playing with the controller pro and be able to throw Tingle bomb with the game pad (like a Game cube version with GBA link cable) !

    • Pamm!!

I can not imagine that they removed Tingle. I just hope they don’t get the idea of replacing the gba with a 3DS and not with the gamepad…

  • val berger

Bring back cut content Bring back cut contentBring back cut content Bring back cut content Bring back cut content Bring back cut content Bring back cut content

sorry, but I REALLY want them to bring back the cut content =)

  • Highrevz

Cut content, master quest mode and wii u pro controller support that is all.

    • Steven

And use of the classic controller in general. πŸ™‚ Because there’s an adapter where you plug the gamecube controller into it.

      • Highrevz

if only nintendo would release such adaptes πŸ™

        Gamecube controller was my favorite

        • Steven

There’s the adapter by mayflash πŸ˜›
I bought it and it works wonders for games that use the classic controller. πŸ™‚

          • Highrevz

thank you i was unaware that it had pro controller support.
will be picking this up for wwhd and next smash bro’s

          • Steven

            No problem πŸ˜€

    • Majora

      ? you nuts

      • Highrevz

what im wishing for stands a good chance of coming true,i dont wont them to change the game too much.

  • Xavier Lopez Chabelo

Hey, made the Sounstrack into an Orchestra like Skyward Sword

    • jay

  • The Unknown Legacy

Hmmm… In my opinion, the game was amazing and if they were to add anything, the difficulty, cut content and making sailing more fun are exactly what it’s missing. I wouldn’t mind extra stuff such as new costumes/masks like referring to other zelda games such as majora’s mask. But at the same time it shouldn’t affect the original gameplay, just visuals.

    • The Clockwork Being

Indeed smart I believe you own the original game right? A friend of mine was bragging about how much he liked the game. Having never played the game I would like to know if there would be more besides what you mentionned that could be improved. Story wise?Gameplay wise?Character wise? and after story wise

      • Nintedward

I have the Limited edition Windwaker for Gamecube with Ocarina and Masterquest on a seperate disc.
        Worth about Β£80 πŸ˜‰

        • The Clockwork Being

Damn looks like we got a Zelda fan right here. I would honestly go out of my way to purchase most of Zelda games I missed both a hard copy and Virtual Console Version.

        • Preston

same here. I got it with my limited edition platinum Gamecube console

    • Majora

i believe adding something to the game is wrong the game was challenging and ii think nintendo will only make it easier for 2 year olds and i think thas wrong i want the original game with HD graphics i personally believe changing it is wrong and if you want something else go make another zelda game nintendo because changing it is wrong plus THE SAILING WAS AWSOME DONT EVEN DARE TO TRY TO CHANGE IT

      • The Unknown Legacy

Oh sorry i think you misunderstood what i said. When i said difficulty, i meant like masterquest ( which is way harder ) I don’t want them to make it easier. I want it to be more challenging. When i said sailing more fun, i meant it as more things happen around you as you sail which means more enemies pop out around you and such. As for the costumes/masks, i added that it shouldn’t affect the original gameplay, just visuals.

  • Clifton Peele

I’d prefer Wind Waker HD to have richer(more saturated?) colours than what I’ve seen in the screenshots. The current colour scheme is dull and washed-out. I sort of ‘get’ that it fits the setting out in the ocean, but it looks like a migraine waiting to happen with all that bloom on top of it.

    Certainly bring back cut content!

    • Clifton Peele

Actually, I think the only real problem is the over-the-top bloom. If Nintendo got rid of that, I would probably be okay with the look. Not that better colours wouldn’t be appreciated, but that bloom…

    • greengecko007

I was thinking the same thing! I couldn’t really explain it before, but you’re right. These are not the same colors from the original game, and they definitely have a more unnatural look to them. I’m hoping it’s just the lighting in the screenshots, or that it will be improved by the time the game comes out.

  • Matt Lambourne

    Make it a FPS!

With a kart racing segment. And RTS mechanics.

  • John Andalora

    I don’t have an opinion.
I really don’t want a remake in HD. I think Nintendo should use its resources on new IP or drumming up support from more 3rd party people. I don’t need to play a game I already played before.

  • Fred

Am I the only one that just wants it available ASAP? Even if that means not as many cool changes or features.
I never played this one (I was one of those idiots that boycotted the game cause I don’t like the animation style), and my wife is pregnant. I’m hoping it comes before the baby because I won’t have as much video game time with a newborn baby.

    • Tom Hoskins

I’m in the same boat, my baby is due 23rd sep and gtav is out a week before. I’m hoping the baby isn’t early and, don’t tell my wife, a little late wouldn’t be amiss!!!

    • Fred

I’m with you, but for a different reason than a baby. I just want more content on the Wii U ASAP. Both for myself and for anyone considering a Wii U. If they can add things without lengthening how long it’ll take to finish the game then GREAT, but if it’s going to make the release date later DON’T DO IT!!!
We’ve had enough games postponed already
      Pikmin 3
      Game & Wario
      Wonderful 101
      Rayman Legends
      Wii Fit U
We don’t need to add Wind Waker to that list

    • greengecko007

Well, I have the original and loved it. I definitely would not buy this game if Nintendo didn’t include new content. The graphical difference between the original isn’t that significant.

  • Javy G

Make it playable through the Pro Controller. Give the option to see the button layout as a GameCube Controller for those who purchased the Adapter for it.

  • Nintendo4life

Weapon selection on the gamepad would be nice

  • swic11

I want the dungeons that were scrapped, It will make it seem as if its a completely new game. I want the game the Zelda team meant to put out

  • Seth

Use the Tingle Tuner in some sort of way!

    • Seth

And don’t exclude the Triforce hunting session! Sure it was long and somewhat boring, but it was part of the game. Anyone who would want to take part of a Zelda game away is also taking away the full experience.

  • Adrian Brown

more thropies in the Nintendo gallery!

  • Huzefa Javed

Bring back cut content and make sailing more fun.
I don’t really care about the difficulty level. Zelda games are meant to be challenging.

  • Christopher Smith

    An achievement system in it.

  • Quicksilver88

I am sure they have to be doing this bit with the GC game you could connect a GBA and use it as a mapping device when on the open sea. i found this incredibly useful for navigating and would like to see this function on gamepad with maybe some sort of additional enhancement.

  • Zach Albright

I would like to see a Zelda game with a leveling up system like kingdom hearts. I think that would be interesting and fun.

  • Squid

A tingle tuner on The gamepad!

  • thedragonslayr

I would love to have the song that changes the wind make it so you can
just move a control stick and it would change right then,so you don’t
have to play the song over and over.

  • Shreckle

How about two player? Wait for it… You could have one player on the wii u pad and another on the screen. Smaller items like rupees or bombs could be saved according to your selected mii character and swap when characters are near each other resident evil style. Whereas key items like hook shots or bows could be shared, but you would have to meet up with your other character or return to an item box at links’ house to sync items or teach each other learnt songs. Some issues would need ironing out but I reckon it has potential, even for online play with friends! Comments?!

  • Mbele

Make us able to choose the pro controller and shut off the gamepad. Other than that the usual wishes – lots of sidequests and a good story πŸ™‚

  • Shreckle

Now it goes without saying that wii motion plus controls like we saw in skyward sword wouldn’t be possible without a total redesign, the level of motion controls we saw in twighlight princess could be easily implemented and should definately be included as an alternative to the wii u remote.

  • thisguyjustdidthat

    1. If I’m not playing with the gamepad(I’m using pro controller) I want my buddy to use the gamepad as the tingle tuner
    2. Bigger map/new small fun islands
    3. Bring back all the cut out content/allow us to choice (if we get the disc) how many gigs we wish to install on the wii u harddrive or our harddrive

  • discuss

I want it to be cheap because it’s a remake and because we have to wait way to long for the new zelda.

  • Juan Guzman

I would love to be able to use the Wii U gamepad to be able to write/draw notes and leave them on wooden posts through out the islands for other Miiverse users or players to read whenever they visit that island.

  • MonsterHunter387

I agree with what Nintendo said with what their considering. I think they should also cut down on the Triforce quest. They should also add more sidequests

  • devmiles

what i want? well, not an HD version of windwaker..why? fucking why? better an HD remake of skyward sword or put all the time and effort in the upcoming zelda game, forward the release or something… i think this will cost us another 50 bucks while many have this in their gamecube or wii collection.. it makes me feel not cool the way nintendo rolls… again all VC titles rollout…same fucking thing as the wii, just make all the wii VC games available at once for the Wii-u and stop this fucking crap. what we want… good games and hurry the fuck up!!!

    • Silent

You did not read the title well. Try again.

  • Daniel Gonzalez

Make sailing more fun? That’s kinda lame considering it’s suppose to be more fun to begin with. Come on now, Nintendo.

  • rulqua

  • Poots

What I would like to see the most is an actual second quest. The second quest in the original GameCube version was practically the same.

I wouldn’t mind seeing some form of multiplayer either. Two people searching for the triforce shards would make it so much easier. One person could use the t.v while the other uses the game pad. Seeing some four swords content could be nice as well, or maybe they could include Tetra’s trackers.

  • Chris Woods

HAVE TONS of Miis walking around everywhere. and when you hit them you get rupes hearts an stuff.

    • val berger

hey thanks. and lol, nobody here read your clarification. It’s sad as the chances that they are including the missing dungeons are shrinking now.

  • Boobies or gtfo

  • Silent

The better question is: What do we NOT want? In my Opinion, I do not want to do the eight shard quest all over again. Its plain tedious and unnecessary.

    • jay

Lol I beat you to it!! We wrote the exact same thing lol!!!

      • Silent

        Damn I got ninja’d X__X

  • Superbax

I actually loved sailing in wind waker. I hope they don’t mess with it too much.

    • Andrew Longo

i get the feeling ‘fast travel’ will be added..

      • Do you mean faster fast travel? There was already a from of it in the original.

        • Superbax

I wouldn’t mind if they let you fast travel to more islands.

        • Andrew Longo

it was great but not perfect by today’s standard. if you wanted to get the the fortress in the top left you had to teleport like 5 squares away and sail because the one next to it took you into the fairy mountain you couldn’t walk out of.

    • zhenyaivan

I loved the sailing in Skyward Sword! so peaceful, so smooth! πŸ˜€

  • Devilus

    Finish the 2 unfinished levels!

  • Wiimote support! Or at least gamepad gyro! And a random wii u shaped island!

  • New gameplay mechanisms

  • William Cole

    How about… a Second Quest! Huh… huh?

  • LopsidedPasta

Achievements! Just like all the Xbox games have!! It would add a heightened level of replayability

    • jay

      HELL NO

  • dreammaster

    1. A next gen, 3D tracking motion controller to replace Motion+ to permit dual wielding sword and shield combat.
    2. Motion control based steering for the boat and directing the wind with the wand.
    3. Start the player with the sword, boat, wand, and sail; with the freedom to go wherever they wish from the start of the game.
    4. Allow the player to decide when they wish to go on the pirate quest.
    5. Put the triforce in a dungeon.
    6. An option to turn off the gouraud shading that has been added.
    7. Provide an editor to allow players to build their own island, with houses and a dungeon, which are uploaded and rendered on the ocean beyond the borders of the main quest as a sort of Animal Farm MMO type experience.

  • tommy

master quest thats all i ask of you

  • Jeffrey Debris

A Master Quest, once you finish the game. And also Accomplishments, or Achievements. Whichever they’re calling it.

  • Justin Jefferson

NEVER a difficulty in zelda games…

  • peeer

Can you include the link in the news so we can tell them what we want added?

  • Cap9

β€’ An improvement to combat, more abilities and maneuvers for more fun.
    β€’ Touchscreen menus, inventory etc.
β€’ The ability to control the camera with the gamepad like in Nintendo Land/ panorama app style and take photos or find clues to solve puzzles.
β€’ Nunchuck controls like Skyword Sword

  • Arthur Jarret

Localized Tetra’s/Navi trackers included as a multiplayer mode and/or a new four swords adventure using windwaker models, but top down perspective.

  • I love the idea of bringing back the cut content. But how could they possibly make sailing anymore fun than it was? That was one of my favorite parts about that game.

  • DigitalBlawks

Please rework the animations of some cutscenes for animations of characters to look better and more real. Like some running animations, falling, etc. Idk why but I always hated when Links hair would go above his head when running… Idk why I just do XD

  • Agent721

    Multiplayer arena with sword fighting!

  • Arobin10

I’m also getting tired of all these companies skipping the Wii U. Titles will sell. Many people are just waiting for a system seller to be released. Several will be announced around E3.

  • Bring back the cut content! Dungeons!! Scrapped dungeons!!!!

  • Super Buu

NEW TEMPLES NEW TEMPLES NEW TEMPLES AND NEW TEMPLES. Oh, and had a hard difficulty, that would be nice.

  • Kholby

    Are you kidding me? MASTERQUEST.

  • xxnin-twin-doxx

Multi player: another player can press start while 1st player is playing; other players can join in and help in missions. Example: a player can ride around in the boat with other players and drop off players at different islands and can text you with the gamepad to ask for help (or use a head set), ask to pick them up or just communicate. When you text the Links can pull out their own gamepads and as you type, they type, the links flash when they get a message. Players can learn combo attacks and the game can have multi player mission and hidden puzzles. Also instead of using one boat, all links can use their own but with different colors. I personally think this is a great idea and would be great for online playing, I’d love to see this in the HD remake.XD

  • RockieOllie

Why can’t they ask what we want in SSB4!!!!!

  • bakedapplepie

I missed this game on the Gamecube, can’t wait to play. Im going to buy a Wii U just for this release. Now lets release OOT in HD and announce the New Zelda Wii U title and I will be one happy Nintendo owner. I will buy Nintendo products forever as long as there making Zelda titles. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword were epic.

  • David

    Let Link bang princess Zelda

    • No, this Link hooked up with a different chick. In fact, this is the only Link that was confirmed to get laid…

Optional Wiimote+ and nunchuk controls would be nice.

  • Johny

    multiple controller support ?

  • Jake Lood

Let the gamepad be the Tingle Tuner!

  • nick

all i want is a better way to use the boat

  • Dominic Coradazzi

I’m down with the three things Nintendo’s considering but I’d probably add a few new islands with different minigames or items (like a longer arena or some new items)

  • DemonRoach

those 3 hit it on the head.

  • therealruben1

i would like a release date

  • Message in a bottle as an online feature, make you feel less lonely. You are sailing and you land on one of the more small and relatively useless islands, you look on the shore and you see a message in a bottle containing a note, a drawing, anything that a player would actually make. Also, if they add a hero mode, make it so when you beat it you get the NES link colors as a costume across all saves from your grandmothers house in outset πŸ˜€ other than that, the 3 features mentioned would be fine

  • Kyle

Changeable clothing, because maybe I want my tunic blue as a run around slashing stuff.

And, if it wasn’t a given, motion-plus sword controls, instead of just clicking B.

    • Andrew Longo

oh man i hope they implement that somehow

    • Um, you could unlock the blue outfit in the original.

      • Kyle

Not the Outset Island clothing, a blue tunic (such as the ones found in Ocarina of Time and Four Swords) as well as a red one, purple one, and maybe a shadow link color scheme for players who’ve met a certain criteria. All of which could be toggled within the menu.

  • NintendoNoob

Have Easter Eggs for the new Zelda Wii U

  • Oum’Bushay

Old content or making sailing more fun, if it came down to it I would choose old content though.

  • Linskarmo

I’d like all three! But the one I would want most is the cut content. Just recently in fact I thought about a difficulty setting for Zeldas to make them more pliable for different gamers, and I think that should definitely be in the new Zelda if not this one. I don’t know about the sailing because I haven’t played the game yet.

It might be interesting if the island locations were changed.

  • I can’t wait til E3. πŸ˜€

  • How about unique challenges/achievements?

  • CyanideInsanity

I’d love to see the return of motion plus controls, and a master quest feature. Its one thing I love about Oot 3d, though the mirrored world is a bit weird, not bad at all though.

  • Liam Grunow

a bonus disc or download codes for a-couple older zelda games and a good 30-80 min demo of the new zelda game

  • Steven Penberthy

Make sailing more fun or put in fast travel

  • Fuzunga

All of those things! Although, if this game is months away, isn’t it a bit too late for this?

  • wober2

I hope for more mr tingle integration coop integration that add some challenge to the gameplay (maybe impossible). Boost mode in Mario U adds additional challenges for the 1st player in certain challenge modes.

    • jay

You mean like the Tingle Tuner?

Great Idea. or have it connect to the 3DS.

  • Bleck

my choice is:stop being lazy cunts and add all of them in, you’re selling people a 10 year old game for full price the least you could do is try to add as much new stuff in as you can instead of forcing us to decide between what we want.

  • Mazor

I want all three of those included

  • Adrian Byrne

    less water!!!

  • More content, less shiny-ness~

  • Majora

I dont want any change. if you change the game whats the point of it? make another zelda or remake a game in hd but dont change the game I DONT CARE IF NOOBS CANT PASS THE DUNGEONS I WANT THE SAME GAME THE TRIFORCE QUEST WAS AWSOME AND IT MADE GOOD PLAYERS SHINE NINTENDO JUST USE THE GAMAPAD AS A MENU AND MAKE THE GAMECUBE CONTROLLER PLAYABLE

  • Magnus Eriksson

I dont need nothing really. I just want the game, because I never played it. The screenshots looks gorgeous.

  • RonnieMexico

    I just wantz a big fat bowl 2 smok3

  • Seth

I don’t know about anyone else but I would LOVE to see a remake of four swords in the near future, or something to do with it. Maybe a third person online multiplayer? I don’t have any online multiplayer games for the Wii u and it would make a pretty cool new game if you ask me!

  • Shaise Mughal

I never completed a zelda game so I dont quite know, is this asked in club nintendo, if so I want some extra stars!

  • Relick
  • andrewjcole

I know it would never happen, and even if it did, they would save it for Zelda U, but what I want, is an exclusive online multiplayer time trial minigame or an online battle one.

  • quit the triforce search quest and make 2 dungeons more

  • CivilRobo

An option where you can switch to the original Gamecube version so you can compare easily.

  • Archiq09

Nintendo need a New Battle Tanx on Wiiu

  • PachterStation

Nintendo has become obsessed with games for the Virtual Console, not forgetting HD remakes. After the typical games are released on the Wii U (Mario Galaxy 3, Pikmin 3, Animal Crossing, Metroid, Zelda, Mario 3D Land and PokΓ©mon), what then? Some games haven’t had a sequel for years, maybe some have never had a sequel. At a guess, Nintendo are not willing to take the risk, so it’s sticking with the same old. Nintendo should be asking what games fans want, not what they want in HD remakes. After the terrible Wave Race: Blue Storm on the GameCube, I think a sequel is due on the Wii U. A sequel to Stunt Race would be another on my last, the SNES version was ace. With the Wii U at the moment, it’s mostly doom and gloom (EA have jumped ship). Nintendo are walking on thin ice.

  • Lars Jansen

Make waves on the ocean.. Let them be grindable for more speed, and let us sail up against them for small to medium air time if timed πŸ™‚

Also, bigger islands with mini dungeouns..

And make randomized rare loots πŸ™‚

  • Preston

Would be awesome if they added a huge island where Epona is a wild lost soul…..I love that horse!!!

  • XYZ

It would be great to have cut content or new content as DLC. Maybe make the sailing segments a little more busy.

  • general audience

i would like for sailing to be fun because it would make the game more fun because this game is about exploring and its also a issue ither gamers had

  • Takarashi282

    1. Support for the Wii U Pro Controller
    – I know, Nintendo announced a few games that support the controller in the latest Nintendo Direct, but it’d be cool to use it in this game.

    2. Reorchestrate the Music
    – Let’s face it, the music is downright awesome, and it’d be even more so if they did this. Give us goosebumps, Nintendo!

    3. Include an Exclusive Mission / Small Game
    – This one I’m pretty sure they will do, since the ALttP remake had Four Swords, OoT had Master Quest, and they did this with their other remakes as well. This will be a real treat to those who have played the game on the Game Cube and also to the first timers on the Wii U.

  • Mochlum

I just want an official HD trailer.

  • Tttt

Include all of the content that was cut from the original WW, and make the great sea bigger! Include more islands, LOTS of more side quests, and make an orchestrated soundtrack!
