According to new reports, Nintendo is in negotiations with several large content creators and streaming service to bring video and movie streaming to the Wii U. AdWeek reports that Nintendo is working with several large content providers like Netflix to bring streaming content to the Wii U. Considering that Netflix is on virtually every device, including the Wii, it’s a no-brainer that we’ll see it on the Wii U. But we might even see something more tailored to the console as well, including a deal with Comcast to stream sports and events on the Wii U. We’ve previously heard from Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime that Netflix was possible on the Wii U. Now it looks like it’s going to be mandatory.
