Ubisoft has been on a roll with promotional material for its upcoming games and this time, we have a new Splinter Cell trailer to tide you over until release. The trailer shows off Sam’s stealthy side and seems to take the series back to Chaos Theory, where it was at its prime for a stealth third-person action game. The only baffling thing is a crossbow seemingly added to Sam’s arsenal, as bows seem to be the cool thing for characters to have judging by the number of releases that have included them in the past six months.

it looks like SplinterCell, but broken… Bring back Michael Ironside, dammit!!

    • I agree. I miss his gravelly voice already.

  • Why does the Wii U keep missing out on all these premium editions?!

    • The install base for the Wii U is pretty low right now. It’s been out for less than a year, while the Xbox 360 and the PS3 have been available for going on 7 years. It’s not cost-effective to market to the smaller Wii U install base until it increases. Don’t worry, it will as the console ages.

      • So why is the Wii U getting a limited edtion version of Assassin’s Creed 4?

        • Most likely because Ubisoft have stated they were pleased with the sales of Assassin’s Creed 3 on Wii U as a launch title. Splinter Cell is untested as a franchise.

wait i dont think you answered his question.

      • I guess, but wouldnt special editions be a way to draw fans in?

It looks like this was created before Wii U was added, It doesn’t list Wii U anywhere at the end of the commercial, and even without a collectors edition, which should be platform Independent, we know that it is coming to the Wii U, so it should have been noted in the ad.

The irony that this trailer doesn’t show the Wii U logo or the Wii U features

How come our ESRB rating doesn’t get read out loud before a trailer of a video game?

I really haven’t been much of a fan of splinter cell since chaos theory. Just give us a classic stealth game.
