Ubisoft had their quarterly investors call last week, during which CEO Yves Guillemot had some interesting things to say about the Wii U. He mentioned that the company is currently satisfied with the launch of the Wii U and happy with the market share the company holds in both North America and Europe. He does mention that low tie-in ratios” for software has impacted sales.

Regarding Wii U, while we are satisfied by our market share in the US and Europe – at respectively 20% and 27% – our performance was impacted by low-tie ratios. Nintendo has recently announced the coming release of some of their great brands on Wii U, and we believe it will boost its potential.

No mention was made about the debacle that sprouted last week, when the company announced that it would be delaying Rayman Legends on the Wii U purely to achieve unity for their now multi-platform release. The developers have recently protested Ubisoft’s decision, though Ubisoft has not released a statement on this.

Watch dogs and Rainbow 6 patriots look like they’re coming to Wiiu. This would go a long way in making me forget about the Rayman ordeal. Although Launching a finished game 6 months late is the most retarded thing EVER.

    • And what was that thing BlackB0nd said we Wii U owners won’t be seeing?

I love it when he gets proven wrong.

      • RoadyMike

Please never mention that idiot again
He said even said Nintendo stuff doesn’t concern him because he only plays on the other platforms.Fuckn’ hypocrite…

  • MetroidZero

    Oh, the irony.

  • Fred

You know they’ve gotten a lot of press on this. If they’d just change their mind and release the completed game through the eShop tomorrow and on disc in a few weeks i think their sales would be THROUGH THE ROOF and I’d be one of the happy gamers to give them my money and download it tomorrow

i have no issues with them releasing rayman on other platforms too .. i mean sure… wii u lost a great exclusive title, but its kinda understandable… in this early life span of wii u, there arent so many consoles yet sold, and they have to broaden their release to make decent profit… but WHY THE HECK delay the wii u version when its already finished ?? thats the most bogus decision i’ve ever heard… and that after soo many advertisement of how its a wii u exclusive and even a launch title…

  • audi lover

Not happy enough just to release rayman when first intended tho, what a dick

  • catsby

They should have delayed the Wii U to release it with at least 1 good game, As there is there are none right now..

    • Actually, there is plenty of good games on the Wii U at the moment:
ZombiUSonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed Batman: Arkham City Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge Darksiders 2NintendoLandNew Super Mario Bros UMass Effect 3Fist of the North Star 2
      Trine 2

      • Genesect4ssb4

hey, u forgot Ac3 (i know its multi platform, but its great on the wii u)

        • catsby

was released long Before wii u to.. wont Count it in as a release game.

      • catsby

Uhm, first off, Zombiu is not a very good release title at all tbh. batman, darksiders, mass effect 3, trine 2 and puddle has been out for a long time Before Wii U so i wont Count those. Mario bros u is like every other super mario bros game, same content over and over.

Only games that sound fun right now is Nintendoland and super mario bros but super mario bros is not Worth full price by a long shot.

        • ZombiU is a great game.  And I’ve played many.  Not many games can bring out the emotions that you feel during ZombiUs game play.  It was very well done.  If you haven’t played it for at least 5-10 hours, I don’t even think your opinion on the game is valid.

I like your comment and about Mass Effect 3 that game is one Masterpiece

    • Fred

I disagree I really enjoy Nintendo Land, NBA 2K13, NSMBU, Sonic Racing, Scribblenauts, Trine 2, and as odd as it may sound Tank Tank Tank. Plus in the next few months I plan to enjoy Pikmin 3

    • Nintedward

There is loads of good games already on Wiiu. U mad bro ?

    • NkoSekirei

not quite and im currently replaying xenoblade to keep me busy till next month

    • bizzy gie

I could list plenty, but you said one. I know what guys like you deem a good game so here’s that one for ya: Black Ops 2.

  • guest

flip flop dee doo!!! sounds like ubisoft dosnt want to lose nintendos support.

  • John Novakovich

If only more third party developers felt this way. C’mon Nintendo! You can do it!

    • Snake_Boss22

They said they want 1 party not 3 party

  • NkoSekirei

so ubisoft ur satisfied while the rest of us got screwed over rayman gets delayed while its finished and rdy to be sold .Nice try were not fooled by ur comment

  • MujuraNoKamen

People, don’t let up on Ubisoft for the Rayman Legends fiasco. Keep signing petitions, E-Mail them and flood their Facebook page telling them why this is a bad idea for them as well as a betrayal to their fans.

  • Johny
  • Sidney Majurie

Meh. I’m not “satisfied” with Ubisoft CEO.

  • Marcus SpooK

they are lying, if that were true then rayman legends would still be a Wii U exclusive. That’s just how i feel.
