Two Brothers is a Zelda-inspired adventure that will be heading to the Wii u sometime later this year. The team have just released their second trailer of the game, showing off several of the boss-fights and the concept of restoring color to the game world. The game obviously takes cues from A Link to the Past, which is refreshing. The game is being created after a successful $16,000 raised on Kickstarter.

What do you think of the concept? Will you get it when it’s finally available? Let us know in the comments.

I cannot wait for this looks amazing great use of the visual formal elements to enhance gameplay and bring thematic resononce to the tech limitations of past consoles.

VERY interesting. im deeply in love with this title.

I like it! I just hope everyone realizes that an actual Game Boy would run out of power long before rendering one complete frame of this game.

  • Inspired by Zelda A Link to the Past, you can see it in every aspect of this title, other then that this must be by far the most original game concept ever. Bringing back color to the world in a Zelda style. This will really be worth the money we pay for it.

Trolls will ditch it again as being kiddie but screw them, the 16 bit era brought forth many of the best games ever created, agree or disagree, their choice. But every true gamer who witnessed the 8/16 bit era will love a game like this. (As I love Mega Man 9 and 10 from capcom excellent 8 bit games and the same difficulty but created anno 2011 and 2012, tyen there is square enix with Final Fantasy IV afteryears in original 16 bit style, I for one can’t get enough of them, nor do all my irl friends)

You sir have impeccable taste, megaman 9 and 10 were excellent! and this game looks the sex!

Honestly, I’m seeing much more from Link’s Awakening. Maybe it’s just the Giant fish, the coast line and the clouds, and the way the black and white areas look more Gameboy than SNES.

I could see ALTTP if they showed switching between parallel worlds, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

      • If one takes a good look you are indeed right, mire similarities on Link’s Awakening. The developer said it was based on aLtTP, but looking at it again, I have to agree with you indeed.

Anyone remember a few articles back i was wishing that Miiverse would be split into sections and genres ? Gues what ? NOW IT IS 😀 . Fun fun happy time

the colorless world almost looks like the original Gameboy style, it’s even got that strange shade of green
I really like the ideas the game presents and I wish it the best of luck

This is fantastic. I love the fact that these old school types of projects are coming to fruition. I just hope the capture the critical aspects of the 16-bit gaming era. Keep it up folks!

  • Super Buu

More of this and less shooters, if it isn’t too much to ask.

I’ve noticed it’s not coming to PS3 I wonder why? Maybe a lot of the PS3 crowd dis the 16bit who knows. Anyways I think the concept is great and I love Zelda style games, so I will get the game when it comes out. I also love the 16bit era and still have a Genesis at home, and have a lot of Super Nintendo stuff on my Wii OS on the Wii U. This game looks like it will be worth it for sure.

  • Ducked

This game gives me memories of playing my Game Boy. This and Duck Tales will be taking my money.

  • DemonRoach

LOL. Is this crap all we have to look forward to?

    • NkoSekirei

go ahead no one is stopping u from eating cow crap

  • WJaredH

I agree with greengecko007, this looks a lot more like Link’s Awakening to me, with the hero arriving on the coast, and the girl by the statue. Maybe it’s just because I dont know as much about Link to the Past.

  • Johny

i LOVE it! .. simple graphics with AWESOME effects and great gameplay 😀 omg i love those “breaking up” effects.. and the game looks beautifull and the gameplay looks awesome 🙂 really looking forward to this.

Have you guys paused the video at the last 5 seconds? You can see a character standing there and a message above him that says “Can I lend you a hand, stranger?” It looks creepy but interesting. I wonder if that character is the final boss of the game?

  • Javy G

Ahh! Good ol’ days! This game looks like it could be fun! Zelda?! Good name drop!
