Another Wii U indie game is getting a post-release patch, and this time around it’s Trine 2: Director’s Cut. The game will be getting a new and impressive update very soon which include a number of new additions and features. First and foremost, online chat will be implemented. Playing online is frustrating at this time because of the lack of ability to communicate with the other player(s). With this update, everyone should easily be able to communicate what they are planning to do in each level and how to solve each puzzle. The only problem with this part of the update is that you will need to find a headset that you enjoy to use. Next is the ability to use the pro-controller. It will be nice to have for local co-op, but personally I’ll be sticking with my game pad for solo excursions, as I just prefer clicking the screen to switch my character and aiming/shooting my bow. New languages will also be added, with German being one of them. The game’s already gorgeous graphics will be improved with enhancements to both its vivid and dark colors. As it’s already one of, if not the best, looking games on the Wii U, it should be interesting to see how much more they can improve. Lastly, there will be some controller improvements, and more small updates and bug fixes. There isn’t an exact date that the update will arrive, but keep an eye out when loading the game and let us know when you see it. Are you interested in any of these updates? Which one are you most excited about? Erwin I like as it is so any improvement will be like a gift! Clem I still haven’t got myself this game, but it’s only a matter of time (and money)! Perry Move quickly, it’s on sale! I had enough money with the DDP to buy just Trine, but held off and to my surprise it went on sale with Chasing Aurora and Little Inferno. Now I have all three! RyuNoHadouken nice!! Im on my second playthrough….i think im gonna stop and wait for the update Mickey Mouse Nah, having voice chat doesn’t make me wanna play it again. I avoided online first time through so I could solve all the puzzles myself. Played Heroes of Ruin on 3DS online and it was less fun with other people doing a lot of the puzzle solving etc. AZJ I really need to give this game another try. The graphics are so great but I really do not play this one very often at all. For me, my favorite download only games are Nano Assault and Mighty Switch Force. Michael Jurado dang man I need more money D: Arthur Jarret One of the devs stated on miiverse that it was delayed in Nintendo’s approval process. I am actively collecting developers in my Wii U following list, so I can keep up with all this kind of news. In other news: Chasing Aurora will get a large update in January, too – a demo will follow soon after. Gregory Edcius what was the name of that developer i want too follow it too cant wait for the update Arthur Jarret I just found the button that notifies you of replies here 😛 – so sorry for my late reply. I can’t remember the guys mii profile as I am at work now… but just find my profile and check my followed ppl – they’re all devs. : NintendoID: Samael_blackwing Gregory Edcius ok thanks sorry for the late reply Jess Whittingham Played Trine 1 on the PC and it was a great platform game. This is supposed to be even better so should be well worth the purchase imho.
