  • Wii Uoops!

    Seriously!? E10+?
What the heck, ESRB? I’m guessing on the back it says “Cartoon Violence” and “Rude Humor.” Remember when “Alchohol Reference,” “Realistic Blood,” “Frequent Suggestive Themes,” “Realistic Blood,” and “Crude Humor” got an E rating?

    • rjm420247

      No. When?

    • NiNtEnDoLoVeR

In Japan, it’s write A (A mean Everyone…) I hate the ESRB thing tought I don’t really care. Like Super Smash bros Melee… it’s was E now it’s changed to T….F*ck the what?!

      • Yodin

I hate people that swear, not very nice

        • *.*

Then dont use the internet yodin

        • Novum Magus

That’s life kid. I hate people who are overly sensitive to things they can easily avoid. Did you have to read that comment? That is what I thought

          • Kirbymon123

No it’s not kid. I hate people who think they’re always right. Did we know that word would be in the comment? That is what I thought

          • PACMAN

swearing shows you’re not smart. It’s been proven. It makes you seem stupid and many don’t like it so…. don’t do it!!

      • xdlugia

It’s probably because of Samus πŸ˜›

        • Wils81

          Samus = hothothothothothothothothot

    • Jetty

ESRB has to follow codes very strictly now. Angry parents will protest and really nail them for messing up on the details. The problem is everything offends everybody these days.

      • Hater Of Zer0

You calling me an “angry” parent?! >:/

        • Sqarticus

The thing is, these parents mindlessly get these M games for their kids. Why do so may kids have CoD if it’s “so bad” Also, Halo Reach getting M was complete bull, but im not going to go into that right now.

          • Hater Of Zer0

Yeah, I know. It sickness me too; I was just doing a hypocritical statement to a logical post in order to seem funny.

            Sorry about that… :\

    • Lucifer

Do you know if theyll implement miis with these customs anywhere outside the game?

      • PACMAN

        yes much so.

    • Colton

To be fair the ESRB is a constantly changing group based off of society’s current value system. If swearing stops being seen as wrong, swearing won’t change a rating. It’s society’s fault that these things get ratings that are the way they are, the ESRB merely says what is in the game and bases off the target audience from that.

In my opinion, ratings should simple tell you what is in it. Limiting sales of M rated games or R rated movies is usually pointless, anyways.

    • Grodus

No, and “realistic blood” and “realistic blood” are both in your list.

  • Wii Uoops!

Oh, sorry! Didn’t mean to double post.

  • JJJ

    0__0 octopus dance?

    • PSWii60

These outfits that your Mii wears in Nintendo Land need to be usable outside Nintendo Land. aka, unlockable costumes for your Mii

  • frank

Sweet. Got the NA deluxe set so will have this one right off the bat. Now if only we could get some hands-on or in-depth footage about the 7 nobodys played yet I will be able to wait the two months till launch

    • JumpMan

      *three that nobody’s played yet

      • Lord Carlisle

        TWO that nobody’s played yet.

        • Hero Of Time

          1, liftoff! XD

  • link 5

    Want this game so bad

  • dojo

    i like

  • AO1JMM

    The game looks like fun.

  • Lamsaturn

What the heck is Octopus Dance?… Is it based on any other Nintendo franchise?

    • LyingTuna

Octorocks? Thats actually how I read it. I assumed it was Zelda…

      • dr scoobie

        does look like a octorock

It’s the game and watch octupus.

      • Madmagican

Yeah, I guess that makes sense; like in brawl

      • Grodus

Well, now we have 4 franchises that no kid knows about. (Balloon trip, ninja castle, this, F- zero. not saying I dont like F-zero, just that no kid knows about it.)

        • Super Paper Rye

Balloon Fight (what balloon trip was based off of) was made on the NES way back when. So, seems like Nostalgic people would know about that.
Takumaras Ninja Castle is based off some game in Japan. So it makes sense why you wouldn’t know that.
          F-Zero… is some racing game.

          • Hero Of Time

Balloon Fight had a semi port on the Wii with WarioWare, Takamaru’s Castle/ Murasame Castle is a mode inside Wii’s Samurai Warriors 3, F Zero’s Capt. Falcon has been a regular in Brawl, and The Octopus is actually quite a powerful move if used at the right time in Brawl, and if I remember, also had a Minigame in a WarioWare title!

  • PSWii60

man this reply bit is buggy on my browser lol.

    • Grodus

Good for you. You deserve a medal for such a thoughtful comment about the article and Nintendo Land.

  • gSinghGill

I don’t wanna sound crazy, but is it just me, or is Nintendo Land one of the prettier titles? Its so crisp and clear! There’s no sign of the ‘jaggies’ anywhere. But I guess mostly its due to extremely good art design by Ninty.

    • Wils81

“Anti aliasing” are the words you’re looking for.

  • Jetty

This game looks really entertaining. It’s #2 on my launch list(behind New Super Mario U), it just seems to have the greatest replay value. It’s a disappointment that online multiplayer is nonexistent. Overall this would be best with actual friends, just Christ help the idgit that drops the Gamepad. You know which friend it would be, don’t judge.

    • Grodus

That would be me. I have terrible luck…

  • SteampunkJedi

No Star Fox? That’s too bad, but there will still be quite a few of awesome mini-games.

    • Hero Of Time

Look, be happy that we got THESE games, bub. You could have had a remake of Wii Sports or less entertaining mini games like Kirby to replace F Zero and Peach to replace DK, so be happy with what you got and ask for a sequel (like the nutjob who wanted a SECOND Wii Sports) with more mini games, okay?

  • Lord Carlisle

Oh god, I’m excited for this game. My number one WAS Pikmin 3, but that’s not a launch title. I think I’m actually looking forward to this more than NSMBU, because of the usage of the gamepad… I have to say, Metroid Blast looks like… a blast, and the Zelda Battle Quest game looks really fun.

I honestly believe that NintendoLand will keep me entertained much longer than I originally thought it would. It’s just getting better and better! Now I just need to see the Yoshi and Octopus games.

    • dr scoobie

      you sir
spoiled my day by telling me pikmin 3 is not a luanch title.
and that is very hard considering borderlands 2 comes out tommorow.

      • Lord Carlisle

Well hey, it’s better now than on launch day!

  • Benjaminkno

I’m sure this’ll be quite fun. Nintendo never let’s us down. You only need violence, gore and superb graphics when you can’t have plain original fun. It’s almost like Nintendo is saying to 3rd party developers… “Hey! Make a game like one of these mini-games!! Look how easy it is!!” Anybody who doesn’t like Nintendo, does it for the sake of being “anti-Nintendo”.

  • n

    No Kirby minigame? D:

    • Kirbymon123

THANK YOU! SOMEONE THAT IS SANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Grodus

I feel stupid for not realizing this. We get octopus dance, baloon trip breeze, donkey kong and ninja castle, but no kirby? Although, it would be nice to keep donkey kong in. Thats where it all began… *fantasizes*

      • Hero Of Time

Dude, like I said above, you could ask for a sequel, or you could keep wishing for a shooting star to hit Nintendo HQ with the idea tied to it.

  • PKUltima

I usually aren’t interested in these “party games” (as I call them) but I gotta say that I’m glad I got the deluxe console. Once again, well done Nintendo.

  • Fudgewhizzle

Love the screens, can’t wait to play it solo and with my friends! πŸ˜€

  • Kirby

Why isn’t there a Pokemon or Kirby one?

    • dr scoobie

perhaps pikachu is seen as too childish for a console
aiming to regain the hardcore crowd.

      i personally think hes awesome.
anything that can control lightning is awesome

      • Kirbymon123

KIRBY IS A REQUIREMENT FOR ANY COLLECTION OF KIRBY GAMES! I mean c’mon he just turned 20! (I got today :D)

    • Hero Of Time

Look, if you want a Pokemon game to come out for Wii U, ask them to bring over Generation 3 Mystery Dungeon’s Library to the PAL regions for Wii U, that would suffice for at least a few months.

  • Deadmansam

  • for real gamers this is true

im in the uk , a family member works for eurocom (007 wii developers) he just this minute told me wiiu gpu is a customized version of AMD 4670 @ 45nm with 32 mb edram @ 800mhz

thats dead on guys β€œβ€dead on”” 320 stream processors also original AMD 4670 was 55nm and 750mhz or 600mhz

  • Wii U Gamer#19

Man this game looks beast, also im lookin forward to playing Mario Chase and Metroid Blast, those are gonna be my most favorite. πŸ˜‰

  • TheRetardedD versus DatShittyPyro

Metroid Blasts looks like a… blast. I also like the Zelda Battle Quest, it looks so… woolished. Idk what else lol.

  • ineedawiiuNOW

octopus dance is probably the e3 2011 game about the pirate ship. i forgot what it was called…..

  • Trev

The game might be fun, but I hate how samus looks in this game

    • Grodus

Its a Mii in Samus’ power suit…

  • Nintenjoe64

I can’t wait to get this.

I hope F-Zero turns out to have a good solo campaign!

I also hope yoshi’s fruit cart isn’t another chase/avoid/kill the gamepad player game!

  • samuDC

I just saw (in a gameplay video on youtube) that u can’t choose where you walk in battle quest.
I hope we will have the option to choose where we walk like in metroid blast.
If not than thats a real bummer. πŸ™

    • Super Paper Rye

Its an “on rails” type of game. So, unfortunately for you, you cannot choose where to walk. However, the players do stop when their sword is in range to attack the enemy.

  • Madmagican

Nice to finally see a full list of the ‘attractions’ in Nintendoland; I think I’m gonna end up playing metroid, pikmin, and zelda the most, but this article does beg the question: “What’re Octopus Dance, Captain Falcon’s Twister Race and Yoshi’s Fruit Cart?”

    • NintendoMan :D

Im gonna guess here and say Yoshis Fruit Cart is where you have to tilt the gamepad left and right to get the fruit to fall in. Just a thought…

    • Hero Of Time

F Zero is the basic racing game, Yoshi Fruit Cart is just like Animal Crossing’s Sweet Day, but moderated, and Octopus Dance I believe involves an Octopus (Gamepad) doing positions and you have to use buttons to copy him (Wimoters)

  • u mad bro

Yeah NintendoLand is going to be the first game I’ll play when I get the Wiiu.Im looking foward to this game.

  • Kirbymon123

    Kirby Minigame!

  • wii u fan forever

    • NintendoMan :D

Well somebody seems a little excited. Just a little. πŸ™‚

  • Grodus

New game names? What is Octopus dance? Would like to know.

  • meliza

    I can’t wait until Christmas! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    • Hero Of Time

Dude, you don’t have to wait THAT long, unless if you are in Europe, then I dunno about you.

  • sega.nintendo

i kinda wish this had online play it would be much easier to play with people that way on the mini games but in all i know it will be awesome anyways πŸ™‚ and will be hella fun

  • Hero Of Time

Look, I am just going to summarize what DLC is needed here:

    1. Make a Pokemon game, it’s for the kids and young ones (or at least inside

    2. Add special suits for Pikmin Adventure once Pikmin 3 is in your memory

    3. Create a Kirby game where you eat enemies and object and whoever is biggest wins

    4. If you can, please add in a game for Wario, like him robbing the bank (Gamepad) and coppers (Wimoters) to stop him in a time limit

    5. Add in game achievements like Wii Sports Resort, because that was the only reason why I came back to play the game
