The Wii U eShop has been an incredible source of games for Wii U owners over the past few months and it’s about to get better. Double Fine’s The Cave is slated for release on January 22nd in the Wii U eShop and the PlayStation Network. The Cave has a similar concept to Trine 2, as it features player-chosen three-character parties in a strange, animate cave that reveals more about itself the more you explore.

Given that Double Fine are known for their adventure games and Ron Gilbert had a big hand in helping create this title, players should expect a full-fledged adventure game from the title. The game will be available for $14.99 on the Wii U eShop. For more information about the game, check out the trailer below.

  • Wow I want this game

Does this release date include the UK, because eShop releases are usually Thursdays in the UK. That would make it 24th January! Anyway, I’ll be playing this whenever it’s available in UK, love Ron Gilbert’s adventure games like Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion etc.

  • I lolled at the story teller, how he told it. And about the characters, the monk looking for peace, enlightenmend and… murder Hahaha, err sorry. And the twins they just wanted to go outside and play, what could be more innocent then that (rat poison) I couldn’t help but lol on the story teller. Looks like the Wiiu will be worth it for indie games alone, if the real games stay away, at least it’s a worthy buy for the indie games.

This reminds me of the Disney Channel Show called “Gravity Falls” because there are twins and it looks like in the forest….Hmmmmmmm…..If you don’t know the show called “Gravity Falls” check the show on Disney Channel or you can get the first episode of “Gravity Falls” called “Tourist Trap” on iTunes for FREE!!!!! 😀
    CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!!!
