Developer Double Fine Productions have confirmed that the upcoming platformer The Cave is coming to the Wii U console. Double Fine has been a lot in the press lately for its hugely successful Kickstarter project for Double Fine Adventure. The Cave is a platform-adventure game directed by Ron Gilbert, one of the creators of Monkey Island. The Cave is set in a cave (surprise, surprise!), and features several characters of widely different type. For instance, players can play as a scientist, or a knight, or even a hillbilly. The Cave is published digitally by SEGA and will be released in early 2013 on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and now, the Wii U eShop as well. Everyday more and more support for the Wii U, just proves how great the Wii U will be. AKA-Link77 Im not sure what “Cave” is [about] but yet again, its nice to see additional support for Wii U. 🙂 😉 nintedward i presume its about a cave funnily enough. i could be horribly wrong , but the title ‘cave’ suggest something strongly linked with a ‘cave’. Macarony64 Who cares what is about is a double fine game i havent play a bad game from them even the kinects games are good . nintedward touche Macarony64 , touche… dr scoobie caves in real life have no dragons in them lucky games arent realy life. link 5 Looks like rayman fedster nah more like trine 2 LazerK Cave Story to me But whatever games it looks like,I’m sure it’ll be fun Sweetlovely Thank you for all your hard work on this blog. Kim really likes doing itvesnigation and it is simple to grasp why. We all notice all of the dynamic way you produce practical tricks by means of the web site and as well as attract participation from others about this theme and our simple princess is always learning a lot of things. Have fun with the remaining portion of the year. Youe28099re the one conducting a dazzling job. Lucas Um, I liked the idea…..but then again, I enjoy the Toy Story concept ovlearl…..though I agree about the bankrupt nature of Hollywood in general. Taking movies made either overseas or in Ca and then rehashing them or putting the American spin on them — blech!BTW – like your last name and the artwork. Gabe Hoffman Happy to see that Wii U is getting support from Indie developers. Slacker nice art in this game like to play it must have game Kyron Looking good looking good… I love platformers! can’t wait to see how intuitive and responsive the controls are going to be. Looks like its gonna be fun. Hope the difficulty will be well-balanced. Nintendonoob Yay more Wii U support!! This game looks flippin cool! Josh I’ll play as the hillbilly! Opticine I love how other developers are supporting Wii U but I really want another Nintendo game confirmed. The Detonator games looks great! platformers are my favorite kind of games! lets hope it uses the new controller well! go nintendo! Lamsaturn This game looks awesome, I’ll be happy to add it to my collection in 2013. deSSy2724 I really like that art style graphics…. i hope the game will be good too. Dmonkeyman the game looks cool but I still want that Pokemon MMORPG, a Metroid and a Zelda game TheBoldman67 So, basically turn Pokemon into a Skyrim-type game? (even though I don’t like pokemon, it seems like a brilliant idea). Golden Fox Ikr? And we want Starfox and F-Zero as well! Bahar It IS addicting. I think in this high sstres world we live in, we just don’t have enough opportunities to get our aggressions out. Kind of reminds me of Michael Douglas’ character in the movie Falling Down. Dude definitely needed some Wii Boxing! Bravyoura Not really bothered about the endless stream of e shop titles by small developers I want AAA exclusives by 3rd party developers. The only e shop announcement I’m hoping for is more consoles are being added to the virtual console, how about arcade machines using the game pad touch screen for buttons. LibertyZero I choose the knight! Ledreppe This is good news, I may play it one day but I really want original Double Fine graphic adventure games on the Wii U, just as DFP said they would develop for the Wii U. Nintentionally This looks better than NSMBU! (but hopefully Nintendo have deliberately kept the best parts of their games secret due to fear of too many rip offs) Like Dmonkeyman, I am a lot more interested in Nintendo IP and also innovative gameplay from the gamepad and the ability to play while the football is on. joe Looks really good and it’s a platformer….I’ll be following this one…. Oh and did someone say the Shenmue series was coming to Wii U? Or was that the voice in my head? Maverick-Hunter My Mega man platforming skills will result in me stomping this game 😀 Len More support!!!Wii U is just getting better and better!!! JJJ This game looks great but I hope nintendo makes another Dk Country.the wii one was awesome. SteampunkJedi The effects look wonderful. If there’s good gameplay, it should be great. Crystal I not to mention my pals were allcauty viewing the excellent thoughts on your site and then all of the sudden came up with an awful suspicion I had not expressed respect to the web blog owner for those tips. All the women were for that reason stimulated to read all of them and now have definitely been tapping into those things. I appreciate you for getting well accommodating and for going for certain beneficial subject areas millions of individuals are really wanting to know about. My personal honest regret for not expressing gratitude to you sooner.
