If you’ve been looking forward to Rain Games’ upcoming game Teslagrad on the Wii U, you’ll be excited to know that the team is close to finishing the tweaks for the Wii U version of the game. The developer announced via Twitter that a release date for the platformer should be announced soon, as the developer has finished some tweaks to the game for the Wii U version.

If you’re unfamiliar with Teslagrad, it’s a 2D puzzle platformer where you play as a young lad who suddenly finds himself embroiled in an ancient conflict that will shake the foundations of his entire existence, and bring a gruesome truth to light. The game has already released on PC where it was met with great reviews, so we’re definitely looking forward to getting our hands on the game on the Wii U. Watch the trailer below to see more.

  • So much 2D, it’s like we never even left the 8bit-16bit era.

    • Darius

i’m actually quite excited for this game

    • those are kind of the best era´s anyways.

  • CEObrainz

By any chance is there any good 3D games on the eShop? Just wondering….

  • gamingpalooza

I want “REAL” games… not these 2D downloadable games.

    • Darius

how is this any less of a “real” game then any other game? is basketball, Uno or tag not a “real” game because there’s no joystick? chill bro

    • uPadWatcher

Teslagrad is a REAL game, retard. You’re just too freaking salty because the indie developers love Nintendo.

    • Phoenix Maybe

Read the section that says “The Problem is You”

    • i believe 2d games came out first than “3D” games, so thecnically, they are the real ones.

  • Billy Madden

I happen to love this explosion of new 2D side-scrolling games so keep ’em coming, I say!

  • Jake Russo

I’ve been holding off on getting the PC version for this version! Can’t wait!

  • Hmm interesting, looks promising I’ll keep an eye out.

This + Shovel Knight will make great additions to my other eShop 2D games on the Wii U, Unepic and Child of Light. 🙂

Sucks that UbiSoft won’t be releasing their new one on Wii U, though. :/

  • Madmagican

Damn, this one took its time getting the Wii U port; it’s been on PC for months already

Glad it’s finally making the jump though, it’s a great puzzle platformer
