This game looks better by the second *-*

    • koopapoopas

Yeah. At first, I was like, “whatever, no big deal.”

But after seeing screenshots, character reveals, and having finished Windwaker, I can’t wait.

I’ll finish Phantom Hourglass just in time for release.

  • EmperorIng1268

    skyloft looks so good!

  • MerryBlind .

I really hope this game turns out to be good, cause it looks really good.

  • Rich Garriques

wow this game is way better then i thought

    • Darius

      you’ve played it? lol

      • lonewolf88

        in his mind.

  • Ducked

I’m not trying to be a graphics whore, but this looks like a Wii game.

    • Epicstuf

No it doesn’t. Most Wii games are cel-shaded and sometimes clunky looking with pixels. But this game looks like a Next-gen game.

      • MagcargoMan

What? Most Wii games aren’t cel-shaded. None of the Mario games are cel-shaded. Twilight Princess isn’t cel-shaded.Donkey Kong Country Returns, Endless Ocean, Resident Evil 4, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land and Wii Sports are not cel-shaded. Cel-shaded games are just as a minority on the Wii as they are on other consoles.

        • Epicstuf

          The 3rd-party games.

          • MagcargoMan

Only one that comes to mind is Okami.

          • Epicstuf

No More Heroes. And other stuff. I can’t remember.

    • MerryBlind .

You’re not the first one I see not being impressed with the graphics of this game. I have to say I’m suprised since I think this game is quite easy on the eye. It looks really clean (no aliasing like most Wii/PS3/360 titles), with very well rendered characters (good polygons), great lighting and special effects and great character art direction. The only thing that’s not that good, I find, are the textures, but since it’s not a realistic game anyway, it’s not as important.

I think it’ll look better up close then these screen shots

    • greengecko007

The only thing that looks reminiscent of the Wii to me are some of the natural textures (like grass) and the foliage. Looking at the screenshots, the indoor areas seem to look better. The character models also look pretty good to me too.

      • TaintedXGamer

This is probably still in progress, so the final product should be polished. And I can’t stand graphic whores. I bet you’ll all be complaining about the wii u zelda art direction when it comes out next year.

        • greengecko007

The game is releasing next month, so graphical improvements are definitely out of the question. This game is in the final stages getting ready for release.

“And I can’t stand graphic whores. I bet you’ll all be complaining about the wii u zelda art direction when it comes out next year.”

I don’t know what you mean. Graphically, the new Zelda game looks amazing. Hyrule Warriors doesn’t even come close. Does that mean Hyrule Warriors doesn’t have any potential to be a fun game? Absolutely not.

  • Tsijiari

I do recall the iron ball from twillight princess but not the guantlets. Or maybe those are the silver guantlets?

    • Kirbyomega

      Those are from OoT

  • Capt. Smoker

I love how almost every Nintendo game looks this good on the Wii U 😀

    • Kanbei

Yo Capt. Smoker aren’t you supposed to looking for straw hat?

      • Capt. Smoker

I’m taking a break, I got my ass handed to me by Law, Vergo and Doflamingo, all in one day! that’s enough for me now till Christmas, I told Tashigi to look for strawhat, told her to pick me up some smokes too, I’m just gonna play on the Wii U for a while, Xenoblade chronicles X waits for no one!, keep on smokin 😉

Excuse me but, where the hell is Groose. Give me Groose and I give you money

    • Kirbyomega

      The groosenator was there….

    • firedragonsage88

He’s probably in. I recall hearing in an article (I can’t seem to find the article) that if you have a favorite Zelda character, they’ll probably be in. Considering the huge amount of characters that Dynasty Warriors games have, I’m sure there will be a ton of playable Zelda characters.

  • Jay-Russell

    I CAN’T…

  • firedragonsage88

Hmm, interesting. On the last few images (on the official gallery), Zelda appears to be holding the wind waker baton. I didn’t expect to see that as a weapon. It looks like they’re pulling every possible thing from the franchise. And that’s awesome.

  • allan

Wish i could get a wii u. I just graduated and got no monies.

  • great deku tree

so who are all of the playable characters that we know of so far? and how many overall will there be?

    • J_Joestar

      Confirmed Playable

confirmed as “Appearing” but not confirmed as playable (but probably will be)

Teased at the end of a video but not officially confirmed in any way

i think that is everything so far, no idea about total count though.

  • Nathan C.
    • uPadWatcher

      All hail Queen Zelda!

      • Epicstuf

She has a mini dagger and will kill you.

  • JCdude

I was hoping Ghirahim would be in this game. As long as he’s a playable character I’ll be happy. It looks more like he’s an enemy though…

    • MagcargoMan

Boss characters tend to playable in Warriors games, so Ghirahim will probably be playable in the end.

      • JCdude

I hope so. I haven’t played any Dynasty Warriors games before, but this one looks really fun, especially with each new revealed character. I can’t wait to buy this game.

  • Rinslowe

It’s not a technical showcase. But I really do like the artstyle and colour. So much grit and muted colour palettes out there today…
It’s not as bright and vibrant as Ninty’s Wii U first party games. But it’s still full of all the right stuff in that department.

    • Daniel Carvalho

When the first images came out I felt it was kinda dull on the graphics, but after seeing images of different characters, stages, items, and actual gameplay (with better quality than those 720p ND videos), I started to see the game in a new light. It look bright and colorful, and the visual effects look awesome and pretty smooth as well! Can’t wait to see this on my (future) Full HD TV!

  • darkcreap

    Looks better and better.

  • Shrish Kumar
