Nintendo increased the supply of Switch consoles in Japan for the launch of Splatoon 2, and boy did people buy them. Nintendo sold almost 100,000 Switch consoles, making it one of the best weeks ever for the console.

People were lining up all over the country for a chance to buy a Switch and the Splatoon 2 bundle, and many did: the console sold 98,999 units last week. The second place went to the PS4, with “just” 23,841 units sold.

Nintendo definitely made the right chose to increase supply for Splatoon 2: the game had the best launch ever for a Switch game, selling 670,000 units in just three days.
