The Nintendo Switch maintained a strong sales momentum in Japan, selling almost 80,000 units, which is twice its usual rate. And it’s been like that since the release of Super Mario Odyssey last month.

The Switch sold four times as many units as the number 2 best selling console, the PS4.

On the games front, Super Mario Odyssey climbed back to the top spot as the best selling game after being outsold by the new Call of Duty game last week.
