Team Meat announced Super Meat Boy Forever way back in 2014 as a sneak peek at what the duo who created Super Meat Boy is working on. Since Super Meat Boy finally came to Wii U, Nintendo fans have gotten a chance to check out what I consider a spiritual successor to Nintendo’s hardcore platforming days.

The one thing that could make the Nintendo Switch perfect for me is to have Super Meat Boy available on it. While nothing has been confirmed on that front yet, Team Meat’s official Twitter account has tweeted to let fans know that MeatBoy Infinite won’t be on the Nintendo Switch, but Super Meat Boy Forever definitely could be.

For those that don’t know, Infinite is an endless runner style Super Meat Boy game that’s being developed primarily for mobile platforms, while Super Meat Boy Forever is designed to be the spiritual successor to the original game. We’ve only seen it in action a handful of times since the original announcement, but this is exciting news for fans of platformers!
