Nintendo just shared its quarterly financial results, where the company revealed that the mobile hit Super Mario Run was downloaded 78 million times since it launched in December.

The company also shared a much more important number: how many people actually purchased the game. And that number is around 4 million.

Which means that the game generated $40 million in revenue, or $30 million after Apple takes their cut.

That brings the purchase rate to about 5%, which is on the low-end of mobile games. Still, it’s more than some analysts expected, and the game has clearly made a good profit for the company.

Super Mario Run will launch on Android in March, where it should do just as good as it did on the iOS platform.
