super indie connection sale

The indie game sale known as the “Super Indie Connection Sale” is live on the U.S. Wii U eShop! Hooray! The sale let’s you nab any of the five games below for 60% if you purchase (or already own) one of the games in the collection.

The developers have also announced that they’re teaming up to promote each other’s games! Below you’ll find the videos each studio created to promote one of the other studio’s games. I personally think that Gaijin Games’ is the best, even if it is a bit odd. Games with birds are most definitely fun.

  • Toki Tori 2+ (Two Tribes)
  • Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (Black Forest Games)
  • Runner 2 (Gaijin Games)
  • Spin the Bottle: Bumpie’s Party (Knapnok Games)
  • Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition (WayForward Games)

I’ll probably get Mighty switch force. I already have giana sisters which is a beautiful little gem and toki tori 2

    • Josiah Parsons

Do you recommend Giana Sisters? I already want Runner 2 and TT2+, but I was having trouble deciding on a third.

      • Jon

If you like platformers then definitely. It was a beautiful game and the art style is awesome. Has some great challenge to it as well. Probably one of my favourite e-shop games on my Wii U

    • Brennero Pardo Centanaro

Between Might or Giana, which one is better? I have TT2 adn Runner both are amazing!! What about Party?

      • Jon

not sure about might yet… I still have yet to buy it but I’d definitely get Gaina Sister, I am pretty sure I will not enjoy Mighty switch force as much as I did with the Gaina Sisters

  • Gabe Hoffman

Picked up Toki Tori 2 last night

  • Fred

I own Mighty Switch Force and Bumpie’s Party. I’ll probably snag Runner 2, but can someone give me more info on that Giana Sisters game it looks like it might be interesting, but I don’t know much about it. I watched the video Nintendo put on the eShop, but that’s it

    • Michael DeVore

It’s like mighty switch force. Switching between characters changes the level layout similar to how switch force inverts blocks.

      • Fred

Is it anything like Rayman Legends? That’s what I thought of when I watched the video

        • Michael DeVore

Graphical style, and speed are on par with Legends. It’s more with 3D modeling instead of the Rayman 2D. But rayman didn’t do anything level altering, and that’s why it feels more like switch force, but faster. The goal of each level is to collect gems like Rayman does lums, but there is more of an emphasis on collecting all of them where with rayman collecting all the lums in a level would be unknowable.

      giana sisters is great

In other eShop “related” news. WB Interactive canceled the rest on the Batman Season Pass DLC for Wii U. Nintendo of America is giving refunds to people who got the Season Pass. I personally don’t think Nintendo should carry all the responsibility, WB should refund to Nintendo whatever money they got from the Season Pass.

Man, Wii U owners can’t seem to catch a break. 🙁

    • Gabe Hoffman

That’s not very smart as this is sure to damage Wii U owners trust in WB

      • Kevin James McAllister

Clearly they made the decision based on the low install base on the Wii U and the amount of Wii U owners actually buying DLC for games. They could have easily lost money putting it out with the extremely low adoption rates and install base. We can blame the publishers all we want, but the truth is that until Nintendo finds a way to make the Wii U more appealing to gamers beyond Nintendo loyalists, 3rd party developers will support the Wii U less and less.

Finally got me some Runner 2! Been waiting for a sale like this to justify purchasing it.

  • Squid

Ooh. Tim to buy Giana sisters.
