Zoink!Games have announced that their clever platform-adventure game Stick it to the Man! will be launching on May 1st in the US and Europe. The game first made it’s debut on the PlayStation family of consoles, but the team at Zoink! Games didn’t want to leave Wii U gamers in the dust. The game follows the story of Ray Doewood, who has a giant pink spaghetti arm sticking out of his brain after a weird accident. The arm is invisible to others, but it gives Ray powers to dig through the brains of others.

Players guide Ray through gathering clues and solving puzzles, all while attempting to escape from The Man! The Wii U version will feature unique ways to use the Wii U GamePad to mind-read characters, so it’s nice to see the developers have paid a little extra attention to the platform. The game will be available starting at £6.99 / €7.99 / $9.99 in the eShop on May 1st.

Well… Nice for whoever is interested in this. Personally, I hate the look of it. I find it to be more obnoxious than fun. So thanks but no thanks

    • Nostalgic_Chaos

Lol, I wont be picking it up either.
I thought the animations and the designs look quite witty and unique, but it’s not something I would ever sit down and play, especially through forking out money from my own wallet.

All of these Indie games in the Eshop are never going to compensate or fill the void of the lack of first Party Wii U & even third party titles. I’ll just wait for Mario Kart 8 and also save my money for the games that Nintendo have “promised” us.

      • AlienFanatic

At the rate Nintendo is releasing its AAA games, you can probably set that money aside in a money market and make enough interest before the game’s released that you could buy TWO copies.

    • AlienFanatic

Totally with you on that one. Maybe I’m just old–there’s no maybe, actually–but I vastly, vastly prefer pixel art to this polygon-based style. There’s something about pixel art that’s just so much more charming than what this company’s done.

I was reading an article this morning about “Wayward Souls” from Rocketcat games, which is coming for mobile systems but (at least that I can see) not home consoles. I would SERIOUSLY prefer that type of game on Wii-U to something like this.

Looks like a pretty cool game. Ill have to look into that

  • Nostalgic_Chaos

    “Change their thoughts!!”

  • Jessey

This game is a lot of fun. If you guys like platformers and humor then don’t pass this up.

        • Capt. Smoker

I opt for nicholas cage, everytime

          • Rinslowe

So does is best friend, whats his name???
You know the guy who’s always bailing him out when he’s bankrupt…

          • linkzero65

            XD Attack on cage :p

          • Capt. Smoker

            hahaha =D

  • Magnus Eriksson

Wii U. So fucking worth it.

    • jjbredesen

WUD should make a new section called: Indie title releases, really bored of this now….

      • Rinslowe

Me too, but for other reasons….
An indie section would be neat. Now there’s ample titles to cover and maybe track. Get a few dev’s updating tidbits and what not if they can/ want…
        Great thinking.

    • Ducked

My anticipation is off the charts!

    • hmm good to hear the developer didn’t want to leave the Wii U out, and even better they actually use the gamepad for something funny, but still I wish in this case they did leave the Wii U out.

    • desgraciado79

      Wii U, fuck yeah!

    • RyuNoHadouken

i get this for free with PS Plus in May

  • ETeach

Kinda looks like Psychonauts. Let’s throw this one in the ‘maybe someday’ pile.

  • Officer Raichu

off topic but nintendo uk has announced they are going to advertise mk8 all year from a month early to end of the holidays

  • darkcreap

Um, looks fun, but I will need to see more detailed gameplay videos to know if it is my cup of tea. I have the perception that many trailers/videos these days do not show how a game works. It makes it difficult for gamers to really understand how the game does it.

    • Jessey

The game’s already out on other platforms. You can check out some of those videos on YouTube.

  • Sdudyoy

Uhm… that game, not sure what to think about it.

  • Levi Johansen

    Looks great, can’t wait!

Nice graphics, intriguing story, challenging puzzles and funny/engaging narrative and voice acting with justified Gamepad usage. All the reasons why I love Trine 2 seems to be in place for this one as well.

  • Rinslowe

Loving the art direction in this game. The lighting is particularly trippy.

  • RecheDiazrivarola

    stick it to the man
    child of light
    mario golf
    nes remix 2
    tomodachi life

    I dont have much money

  • Will the3rd

    Great news!!!

  • The pc version seems well received.

  • wiimenonowiiu

Im glad to see indie games on the wii u doing ok but nes needs to wake up and sell theres system to bring in more 3rd party support

    • Jon Turner

MK8 is the start for it, but it’ll take more than that. But yes, that is very true. The more systems sold, the more support we get.
