Wow, the Nintendo direct hasn’t even started yet, but news is pouring out! TIME magazine has leaked a private interview with Shigeru Miyamoto in which he confirms working on Starfox and two other titles for the Wii U.

While we’ll have to wait for the Nintendo Direct for more specific details, the interview has quite a bit of information on the other games, as well as starfox. TIME’s site is a bit funky right now, and not displaying the article properly. If you want to read the whole thing, a redditor named xXdArKFlaMEmaStERXx has kindly posted it all to a pastebin, which you can find here.

The two new games besides starfox are called Project Giant Robot and Project Guard, and both focus on using the gamepad in new ways. Sounds like Project Giant Robot includes motion controls and a viewfinder, while Project Guard has you jumping between different security cameras to stop enemies.

This year’s E3 Nintendo direct is already shaping up to be one to remember. Tune in to the Nintendo Direct at 9 PDT (12 EST) to see the full reveal of these games! (Watch it on WiiUDaily with this link!)

  • Brandon Burce

Project Guard to me looks like it was inspired from Night Trap

    • WhataShame

      Exactly what I was thinking!

  • Starfox by Miyamoto. Nintendo wins E3, wins life, wins reality. They are back on track!

  • Sdudyoy

Well I’m not going to look at the images, but this is a bit stupid on Times part,

  • Zuxs13

It’s so awesome watching Miyamoto and Reggie Playing games together! Star fox has realistic looking landscapes too. This should be interesting.

  • gamingpalooza

Nintendo is going to dominate E3

  • gerome

star fox?.. star fox?… STAR FOX IN HD?!!!!!!

  • Ernie Sanguyo

I’m so excited what’s Nintendo going to show us today. I’m sure everyone feel me. I saw Xbox and Sony yesterday and for me it was ok, reason because I’m tired of a shooter games already specially COD that it’s alwys same.

  • That guy who hates Spike

    Finally! New Nintendo IPs!
Project Giant Robo looks like fun.

Nintendo talks about doing something like a TV series. Does this mean they will do an episode-based release? Good thing is that it will come much sooner to the WiiU. Bad thing is that maybe a split story mode can be worse. Never played a game by episodes, what do you think about that model instead of a big release?

    • Mario

If they do it should be about something out of heaven, if you know what I mean.

  • Ryushi

So…where’s Star Fox? It never showed up in E3.

    • sd

I saw IGN state that starfox is at E3. I think it is being shown as part of the game pad games.Star fox is coming to the Wii U.
