[Edit: Google has decided that it doesn’t like us doing contests using Google+, so we’ll have to stick to the site for this one. Let us know below who is your favorite stealth character and we’ll carry on from there. Sorry about the inconvenience, guys!]

If you’ve been following me on Twitter or even on Google+, you know I’ve got high praise for Ubisoft’s latest installment of the Splinter Cell series. My review for the game will be going up later today and I’ll be hosting some livestreaming events on Twitch tomorrow, but for now, I’m setting up a giveaway for my review copy.

If you participated in our Pikmin 3 giveaway, you know that we do most of our giveaways on Google+ and it works really well. All you need to do is head on over to our page and +1 and share the post, Comment here on Wii U Daily and let us know who your favorite stealth character from any game is! It doesn’t have to be Sam Fisher or from any Nintendo platform, as there have been plenty of stealth-based games that are great!

The contest will end next Friday, so you have until then to pick your favorite sneaky bugger!

Edit: Just a quick reminder that you’ll need to be based in the North American region in order to win the game, as the Wii U is region locked.

  • Hey guys, I know the Google+ post has been deleted, so we’re going to continue on with the contest here on Wii U Daily. If you previously commented on the Google+ post, you’ll need to comment here again. Sooo sorry. ๐Ÿ™

    • Anthony K Aurelia

I seen two WiiUDaily Google+ accounts when I searched for it…found the post on the second one.

  • Matt

Ryu from Ninja Giaden. Dont know if he is considered as a stealth character!

  • Anthony K Aurelia

Not technically a stealth game but….my character from Skyrim is my fav:)

  • Scott Duperree

James Bond in Goldeneye 007 for N64. There was a good bit of stealth in that game with the silenced PP7 and the ability to prevent enemy alarms and sneak up behind for the kills.

  • KlogeKale

    Solid Snake in cardboard box

  • Bloop

My favourite stealth character is definately Batman. The Arkham games are just incredible and the stealth is so fun. I’ve beaten Arkham City like 10+ times alone and have lost 100s of hours into the Arkham games. Plus, cmon its Batman.

  • Deadpool U

My favorite stealth character? Batman the predator parts of Arkham Asylum/City were some of the best parts in the games for me.

  • Smartass2

    Sam Fisher

  • Hmm… my favorite stealth character. I’m betting this will be said a lot but I’m a real fan of Solid Snake from the Metal Gear series.

  • Calvin Bowens

    Solid Snake

  • Denison Guizelini

all the Tenchu game caracters! But I really like Ayame!

  • Brian Loeb

    Adam Jensen from Deus Ex.

  • JeanPaul

Ayame from the Tenchu Series! The game didn’t get it’s time in the “spotlight” but was really great imo

  • John Smith

    Archer from Splinter Cell:Conviction.

    • He has a degree in economics!

      • John Smith

xD I just picked a random character in a list of stealth characters on a website…. LOL

        • e_rocket

          jajaja… good one

  • Miguel Angel Barrueta Hernรกnde

naked snake from metal gear solid 3 aka big boss

  • Julian Bremer

I’m going to have to go with Sly Cooper

  • videogamedude52

My personal favorite Stealth Character from any videogame would be Corvo from Dishonored!

  • Davi A Z

  • Sean

Definately the burger king from “sneak king” i love sneaking around giving people hamburgers

    • Hahah, oh man. That game was the best of that Burger King promotion.

  • Justis Bistawros

My favorite character is Connor from assassin’s creed 3 it’s sick how you can jump off buildings to take down enemies and come out of hay stacks and pull enemies in.

  • Angelo Ricardo

    Solid Snake >:D

  • Lee

I’m going to say “Sam Fisher” because I’ve never played a Splinter Cell game before and that is the only name I know haha. he Wii U version looks pretty good though.

  • WaHydraxon

    Already got it ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Sam Fisher is one of my favorites, but I really liked Adam Jensen from Deus Ex! You hardcore Nintendo fans will get to know about him soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Mariokartfann

HEY! That isn’t fair you entered the contest ๐Ÿ˜‰
I’ll skip this contest for now (that might change) as I don’t want this game yet (again might change)

      • Laud

It’s not like they’re going to sell it to you if you win >>

Just play and if you win do whatever you want with the copy. =

        • blindtiger

you could give it to me

        • Mariokartfann

Well, I didn’t want Pikmin much but entered that contest.
          I was happy-I bought Pikmin 2 myself.
Besides, I’m sure more contests will come eventually

    • e_rocket

      Yep, Deux Ex looks interesting…

When will you be uploading the blacklist review, I’m looking forward to reading it!

      • I wanted to have it finished tonight but it’s not looking like it’s going to happen. Monday it is! Sorry guys!

        • e_rocket

I ended up buying the game without reading your review…

Anyway I’m still interested in reading it!!! jejeje

          • ScrewAttack

Me too! I’ll be buying the game regardless, but I do enjoy a good review, and it’s a good chance to get to know the game better before getting it in hand later in the month.

    • ScrewAttack

Can’t wait for it to hit! And only ยฃ24 here on Amazon, bargain! A real treat from beginning to end, that game.

  • kicker2222

My favorite stealth character would be solid snake.

  • megamanultra

The Bonanza Bros from the Sega classic would have to be mine. Hiding behind doors, walls, etc to get the drop on the guards the way they did was just classic.

  • Seth Callahan

Definitely Invisible Bob from Cloudberry Kingdom! That dude is so stealthy, I can’t even see him!

  • detrek77

Sam Fisher has always been the best. Chaos Theory was too good.

  • Zeal of Antiquity

Sly Cooper is my favorite, he is awesome! I love that racoon!

  • John Malark

Definitely Big Boss, a perfect mix of both stealthy and bad-ass. THE CAMO INDEX IS 100% . You can’t argue with that.

  • Toadlord

I don’t know if this counts, but playing as CJ during the stealth missions in GTA: San Andreas were among my favorite in the series. For example, sneaking through Madd Dogg’s mansion early in the game to steal his rhyme book. Or in later missions following around a target’s car without getting too close an being noticed. Oh, and who could forget one of the longest missions in the game, where you steal the jet pack from “Restricted Area”. Good times!

    • jay

Those were fun. You should check out Godfather BlackHand Edition for Wii. It has some crazy stealth missions and was a lot funner than GTA to me because the controls were so spot on.

  • Jake Stinson

Sam fisher as far as splinter cell goes

  • babulibaba

My favorite stealth characters have to be Robo and Mobo from Bonanza Bros. That game is epic, in my opinion a breakthrough game with its improved hiding mechanism and its multiplayer. The best part was that it wasn’t an easy game, just like all retro games it was tough in singleplayer and harder in multiplayer(just like BattleToads).

  • jermil80

Paper Mario! Now you see him, wait… where did he go?!?!

  • SuperBob

Abe from Oddworld. Infiltrating huge, heavily guarded structures wearing a loincloth. Hardcore.

  • Brad Vincent

I always liked Wolverine in X2: Wolverine’s Revenge. The stealth mode was always ridiculously fun, especially when you got to do the surprise attacks.

  • Eric Gregory Lovell

My definite favorite is Solid Snake in all the Metal Gear games. Has always been the best at stealth ever since the first metal gear game

  • jay

Wind Waker Link in the Forsake Fortress!!

Oh also in Windfall Island “MEEEeeEEEeEooowWW”

  • Tylos

My favorite stealth character has always been Snake (both solid snake and naked snake) but mainly Big Boss I guess. From the MGS franchise. My first stealth game experience was with a splinter cell game and I found it enjoyable, but then I was introduced to the metal gear solid franchise and was instantly hooked. Most likely because of the outrageously fun boss fights, the easter eggs and how the characters were way more memorable in my opinion. And it doesn’t take itself as seriously as other stealth games.

  • BEAN508

My Favorite stealth character is the Ghosts in Mario. The second you turn around those sneaky little f’ers follow you. Then you turn and they pretend they’re sleeping. Pffffff like i didnt know you were following me.

  • Stephen

Adam Jensen. He’s amazing and is one of the most expertly written heroes in a video game recently. Human Revolution is one of the best games of all time. 99% of everything in that game was just handled by experts. I really hope they do more games in the style of HR, especially if it features Jensen.

The voice actor, too… just so badass.

  • AlThor

I enjoy being somewhat stealthy when attacking as Link, I usually get a couple good whacks in that way!

  • TrueWiiMaster

Hmm… I’d probably have to go with Sam Fisher. I have a lot of fond memories with Spies vs Mercs in Chaos Theory.

  • Eric

my favorite stealth character is naked snake (big boss) from metal gear solid 3. Nothing says stealth like rugged man with a big box.

  • Tom Carson

Batman from the new series of games, ultimate stealth to me.

  • Jarod Brown

Easy, Big Boss, he’s an expert at stealth and a funny guy, and from my favorite game of all time, Snake Eater. the runner up would be Jacket from Hotline Miami(does that count as a stealth game?)

  • cole nichols

    Link hiding in a barrel!!!

    • David Horowitz

      I second that motion!

  • TheDetonator

Well My favorite stealth character would have to be solid snake. SO much nostalgia, and good old fun:D

  • TheWinds

My Favorite Stealth Character would have to go to James Bond I have fond memories of all of his games.

  • Squirrel09

Freaking pac-man. I view him as the first stealth game. Having to hide from the ghost behind every wall so you can collect all those white dots and cherries.

  • Rugmouse

I’m going to have to go with my Rogue from World of Warcraft (wouldn’t you know it, his name is Rugmouse). There are so many stealth elements that are so beautifully executed for Rogue gameplay, I simply haven’t found it’s equal. Vanish, Sap, Blind, Shadowstep…all abilities that really require a lot of finesse and really set players apart (particularly in PvP).

Oh, and the legendary dagger quest line was some of the most engaging stealth encounters I’ve come across in recent memory – tons of fun!

  • vGameOn

Favorite stealth character is James Bond. Goldeneye is amazing. Also love Batman, Sly Cooper, and the dude from Stealth B Deluxe.

  • axiel

adam jensen from dues ex that charter is so stealth he is my favorite he is like a Hi tech ninja with all his cool gadget!

  • Linskarmo

Qui-Gon Jin from Lego Star Wars for the Gameboy Advanced. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (He did have stealth mode, actually.) But really, similarly to others here, I liked sneaking past guards as Link in OoT. Obviously I haven’t played many stealth games.

  • uPadWatcher

One of my favorite stealth characters is Ryu Hayabusa from the Ninja Gaiden series. Like a true ninja, Hayabusa walks quietly. And when the moment and timing are right, he strikes for the kill and then vanish quickly.

  • Flaming Arrow

Connor from Assassins Creed 3, native pride

  • Derk

All of the obvious choices are taken so I choose…. Boo from NintendoLand……

    • Derk

      Hes adorable…

  • Ernie Sanguyo

I’m going to say Rohan mmo rpg Assasin class. When you pvp as sin in rohan no one can see you and you can alwys catch them by suprises in pvp and there’s no limit of stealth so you can hide all day. Same on Ranger, Assasins on Aion mmo rpg but they got limit while on stealth.

  • Ace

My favorite is Agent 47…even though the recent installment went away from what made the series great.

  • Clel

My favorite stealth character is Boo, because he’s scary and doesn’t look at you when you look at him. He also hides super well.

  • Chris

It’s a hard decision but my favorite is batman from Arkham city

  • Keith D. Witherspoon

Sly Cooper. Sure he’s a Sony character but he’s a great character.

  • Crocodilo

Batman (in Arkam city) is my favorite ! Just loved the guy, lol.
Never tried a Splinter Cell, but would love to.

  • Landonus

My favorite stealth character would have to be Garrett, the cynical and enigmatic anti-hero from the Theif series.

  • Dodge2461x

My favorite character in a stealth game? Solid Snake. Does anymore really need to be said?

  • JShap516

Obviously it has to be the hamburglar for stealthly nabbing burgers that would have probably only cost him $.50 a pop back when he was in his prime. He’s also a ginger which makes his stealthness that much more impressive. If we’re sticking to video games he was in M.C. Kids on the NES… so there…

  • WhataShame

I’d definitely have to say, Sly Cooper. Honestly, that game is tailor-made for a Nintendo platform and has the classic feel. With all of the gadgets, I could see the Gamepad getting a workout. Too bad it will never happen. Sly Cooper, folks… if you haven’t played any of the Sly games, you should.

    • bigwigglystyyle

^i loved the Sly Cooper games. They were so much fun, and a big part of my childhood along with Kingdom Hearts. I still have Sly 3 around my house somewhere. The PS2 is an amazing console. I just wish platformers were more popular, bland old FPS gets boring really fast.

  • The_fuzz_buzz

Link, when he does spy work ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Blazenwing

My favorite stealth character is probably my Night Elf Rogue in World of Warcraft. ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Anthony K Aurelia

I wanna vote you up and down…I hate Rogues, lol.

  • Jared Garcia

My favorite stealth character is isn’t Brian from the Family Guy game. It was terrible. Actually, it would be the Rookie from Halo 3: ODST. I know he’s an FPS character, but in his shoes, it was wiser to go around clusters of enemies than do a straight up firefight. Plus, he was in nighttime settings and used VISR vision to highlight Covenant soldiers in red to know where they were.

  • Nintyfan

I’m not going to enter the contest because I already own a copy of the game but this is really cool what you guys are doing, giving out a free copy of the game. Good luck to those who entered!

  • HSN1

And this is enough of a good reason to say that region lock sucks

  • Christopher Eckerdt

I am a fan of Solid Snake! Especially in the GC version of the twin snakes.

  • Mikhael Kunkel

Well being as I just beat Assasins Creed3 Ill have to say Connor. Now its time for Dishonored lol I also liked the Wind Waker stealth sequences!!!

  • Jared Whittle

Solid Snake from Metal Gear, pretty much since that’s the only stealth game I’ve played. Obviously I need to win this game to expand my repertoire.

  • ๅ’Œๅคซ

Toon Link! Hiding in a barrel reminds me a lot of Snake and his box, Snake is pretty high up on my favourites too.

  • Jitin

Right now? Joel from the Last of Us

  • Jonny5

I saw that some one mention that their favorite was the Boo’s in Mario, but I would say Mario in the Boo Suit is my favorite. You could pass through walls, read the encoded messages that the Boo’s had written, and use the Boo’s for various purposes. However you had to stay away from lights and water or your cover was blown.

  • kenny Johnson

    Batman from the Arkham series

  • Swikar

my favorite has to be Sam Fisher! He is also involved in good stories

  • Rick Kester

My favorite stealth character has always been Batman. Although my only consistent gameplay with him has bee n in AC:AE on the U, I have watched gameplay from Arkham Asylum and the upcoming Origins and I really enjoy how he can move so quietly using the environment and his gadgets to get behind his foes. Besides, not many people can pull that off wearing a cape!!

  • GermGerm

Paper Mario 3D. When in doubt flip sideways and become invisible/invincible.

  • wober2

I really like Sam Fisher…. there i said it. Something about his grumbling voice and more realistic but tense situations.

  • Austin Troth

    Solid snake!

  • David1996

wahooo! My favourite stealth character is… Ezio Auditore, who else? I’m an Italian man ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Vaughn Chung

My favorite stealth character is Agent 47 when used correctly ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Victor O

My favorite steal character is the Spy in spies vs. Mercs. Moves and looks like a shadow, unless of course I’m controlling it, at which point, I move like a fat man heading to a buffet.

  • Rick Kester

Edit: The pic was supposed to be in the corner and it was picked because I could not find one of Batman and I like characters in the Flash storyline as well.

  • ScrewAttack

I’m gonna be traditional. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Metal Gear Solid 3, from the bond movie styling to the way medical/feeding yourself stuff works. It’s just a great ride from start to end. And boy, that end!

So yeah, my favourite stealther would have to be Big Boss aka Naked Snake.

  • Jewelarchon

Solid Snake from my first experience with Metal Gear back in the early NES days. Long before Konami decided that they had a hate/hate relationship with Nintendo (home consoles). Hiding under a moving cardboard box without detection was incredible to me!

  • Jeff B.

Woody and Buzz sneaking through Pizza Planet in the SNES classic A Toy Story.

  • PlayboyPacquiao

I don’t think no one has mentioned this character yet. My favorite stealth character is the Bothan Spy of the Star Wars Battlefront series. Even though the Bothans have little health, they can turn invisible. Because of the Bothan’s little health, that just gives you an greater incentive to be as stealthy as possible in the battlefield. There were fun ways to play as the Bothan.
My most recent memory of the Bothan spy was playing Renegade Squadron when it first came out back in 2007 on the psp. I loved making the classic Bothan Spy character complete with the incinerator. I remember sneaking behind enemy lines and just spraying the incinerator at unsuspecting enemies online. It was also fun having multiple enemies chasing you while your invisible and this is a battlefield we’re talking about. Perhaps, maybe the Bothan spies inspired Call of Duty Ghosts.

Can you find the Bothan spy in this picture? Absolutely not, IT’S INVISIBLE! The Bothan is waiting for the chance to take the capture point once the Stormtroopers storm out!

  • Keshav Sharma-Jaitly

    Batman because Batman.

  • Nathan DeFalco

Gabriel Logan from Syphon Filter. Now there’s a franchise that’s due for a comeback!

Gabe is the reason I bought a PS 1.

    • Hey nice one! I loved the Syphon Filter games, but the most recent one on PSP wasn’t too great.

  • Ikbal Hussain

My favorite stealth character is Connor from Assassin’s Creed III

  • SonicLucario

Well my favorite stealth character would have to be Sly Cooper, because he’s just awesome

  • Chad D.

    James Bond Golden EyE!

  • bigwigglystyyle

Mario with the ghost shroom from SMG. If I remember correctly, he can go invisible?

  • skeetninjer

The Marked Ninja from mark of the ninja!

  • Thomas Vienna

Whoever plays the ghost in Luigi’s Ghost Mansion in Nintendo Land ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Guest

Sheik has to be my favourite stealth character.

  • Saul Rivera

Been playing the recent Tomb Raider these past weeks and I can say Lara Croft is a great stealth character…sneaking around in the woods and taking enemies down before they notice her…

Thanks for the contest, Ashley! I would have to go with Joel from the Last of Us. Every move felt life changing.

  • NintendoNoob

My favorite stealth character would have to be Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series, Snake has such a charm to him. It really feels like you’re connected with Snake. The MGS series also has unprecedented amounts of stealth, having multiple ways of taking out your foe, or sneaking past them.

I really hope I get a shot at this game. I’ve wanted to get it for a while but haven’t been able to buy my own copy, winning this contest would really help me enjoy more of Sam Fisher :3

  • Geoff Hammer

Solid Snake by far. He also turned me on to smoking cigarettes to periodically check for lasers.

  • Edward

My favorite Stealth Character is Agent 47 from the Hitman Series. When he takes someone out he can take their clothes lol.

  • Laud

I really liked Sly Cooper back in the ps2 days, that game was awesome.

BUUUUT, I’ll have to go with Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.. Definitely the best xbox and stealth game.

    So yeah, Sam Fisher.

  • ReeseD

Obviously the “King” from “Sneak King”

    Seriously. Best stealth character ever.

  • Tbonemendez

I think my favorite stealth character would have to be James Cash from manhunt. Sorry if I’m out of line saying this… but there’s just something so satisfying about creeping around a junk yard and bashing in some neo-nazi heads along the way. The tension in this game is like no other!

  • Sticky

My favorite of all time is Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Series.

  • Jump’nShootMan

I’m gunna have to go with Snake… It’s tough between him and Bond since both were my intro to that brand of game… but it’s way easier to just play shoot ’em up in Goldeneye (and the 007 Legends), so I’ll take Snake as the favorite “sneaky bugger”!

  • Mario Trochez

My favorite would have to be batman from the Arkham games

  • W!1

I still believe the Predator is the best stealth character. In stealth, there is no room for mistakes. The Predator just about accounts for every option, misstep or mistake. If it were possible, the Predator versus Batman versus Sam Fisher, on a level playing field, would make a great game.

  • Sly Cooper

  • Suraj Alexander

It would have to be Ezio Auditore di Firenze especially in revelations with more hiding options. Connor is too up in the face guy shown through missions and altair in AC 1 wasn’t really given a chance as there wasn’t much hiding options in AC 1.

  • adamm

Sean Devlin from The Saboteur for both the Irish accent and the Nazi killin business.

  • JBeauregard

Fav stealth character is Claire from Escapee GO!!

    • JBeauregard

      On dsiware

  • Myron Bernard

    Adam Jensen from Deus Ex!

  • Harvey Emmons

I have to stick with sam. splinter cell cant be beat for the type of game and sam is king

  • James Maltese

Xenomorphs from AVP games, especially the original from fox interactive back in early 2000’s…Friends and I used to LAN party that game all the time…so man good memories of crawling on the ceiling un detected and then dropping down on a space marine…:-D

  • Alan Schurle

Gotta go with Rikimaru from Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, classic ninja sneak-n-stab

  • Strunt

My Favorite Stealth Character is The Spy from Team Fortress 2!

  • Jonny5

I see that a lot of people are referring to MGS for some of their best stealth experiences. Maybe the best “stealth” part about MGS is that it originally wasn’t supposed to be a stealth game.

Metal Gear was originally planned as an action game, but the MSX2’s hardware couldn’t handle too many bullets and enemies on-screen at one time. Therefore, inspired by the movie The Great Escape, Hideo Kojima changed the focus of the game from attacking the enemy to avoiding them. This allowed for less objects to be on-screen.

Just in interesting tidbit I came across on the internet.

  • James

Garrett from the Thief games! First stealth game I ever played as a kid – BLEW MY MIND.

  • CyanRam

Sam Fisher was the best in the first Splinter Cell game! Played it all the time on my GameCube. Good times.

  • disqus_jnx8BgXLZd

Best stealth character is, OF COURSE, Rikimaru from the first Tenchu (and then others, but nobody cares about those!)

  • ShadowKnight7

Batman in Arkham city. I enjoyed that game more than I expected… That was the first and only stealth game I’ve ever played and owned… but hopefully, that will change soon.

  • Lucas Walker

I would have to day its a toss up between Solid Snake and Sam Fisher. But Sam Fisher for the win!

  • Walid Arana

Pros- Has an aggressive side and manages to stealthly kill his target, started the whole reform of the Assassin’s Brotherhood (which a lot of AC fans have forgotten about), and he even has a mysterious story to him that makes you want to question about a lot of things; like how and why he became an Assassin, why doesn’t his partent exist, and why he started to reform the Brotherhood. And why did he choose Maria?

Cons- His aggression usually costs him to be likable by others and he could be quite full of himself

  • LopsidedPasta

I don’t play many stealth games, but I really want this game. I do know that Link in TLOZWW had to move through barrels during his first visit to the Forsaken Fortress. While this caused me great anguish as a young kid, I really enjoy the mechanic now, and therefore WW Link is my favorite ‘stealth’ character.

  • Walid Arana

    Altair Assasins creed

  • Walid Arana

    Altair assasins creed

  • keith fast

predator isnt the best game but simply the best stealth character

  • Jacob Bulkley

Ralph Wolf from Sheep dog ‘n’ Wolf

  • GeDDeN

My fav it Shinobi! What ninja isn’t stealth!??

  • Habita

Do you folks remember Manhunt? Now thats a heart pumping stealth game.
Although, no game has affected my childhood like the original splinter cell.
A group of friends and I would play splinter cell in the day, then dress up in black and hide in uncomfortable places at night. The seeker/gaurd would walk around this dimlight apartment complex with a flashlight ready to chase and tag you. Hide and seek had a new meaning when you were pretending to be Sam Fischer.
He is by far my favorite stealth character.

  • Adrian Brown

Zelda/Sheik. She was hiding for 7 years!!!!

    • TULFich

      epic hide-and-seek winner! XD

  • CMB

    Altair from assassins creed

  • Jay Jay

I like sam fisher because he can climb in the walls and drop, all the gadgets not even snake, he is so awesome and it’s binoculars are the best in the world so he is one of my favorites characters in video games playing splinter cell since game cube this game would be neat for my collection.

  • johan cervantes

  • RyuNoHadouken

Agent 47 from Hitman….He’s just the perfect stealth type assassin; creative, outstanding, uses his environment to get his target, and uses other objects to kill his targets and anyone who gets in his way. He’s just perfect that I really don’t have ANY cons about him and he’s just like any other stealth character; he cannot be caught.

  • Kev

  • Dzhim Kristiansen

My favorite stealth character does indeed have to be Adam Jensen from Deus Ex Human Revolution. That game was so heavy on stealth, it was FANTASTIC! You could go guns ablazing in, but if you did the whole mission in stealth, it made you feel like a badass! The experience was awesome! I cannot wait to try the stealthy-ness as Sam Fisher! I hope I win this game!

  • Pancho6526

Sly Cooper has always been a favorite of mine

  • Eric

Corvo Attano , from Dishonored. Very good stealth game and just the elements put into the game made him one of my favorites. The different things you can do with him to sneak around and get through that part of the story and basically go through the whole game without getting caught. Makes you have to think when playing.

  • Michael Erick Reyes

My favorite stealth character? Sam Fisher.. Michael Ironside Sam Fisher lol

  • RockieOllie

Donkey Kong from the DK64 sneaking missions!

  • Shaco

    i am the best heheheheheheh

  • Tony Vo

Connor Kenway. He might not have the greatest personality, but I had the most fun using him to assassinate, hunt, and play through an amazing US History storyline

  • Desend

H.U.N.K. from Resident Evil. One tough Motha.

  • David Lee Valliant Jr.

Agent 47 is the man. No BS and to the point. Nice and clean!

  • Dell Goodman

    Solid Snake, David.

  • Daniel from Amnesia: The Dark Descent

  • Joel Dixon

    Sly Cooper

  • Aaron Lucas

My favorite stealth character would have to be Solid Snake for the Metal Gear Solid Series. He stealth actions and methods are amazing. The game with the stealth make it fun and tricky. I like when you get caught because the reactions are funny as hell.

  • kevin nun—-

I’d have to say my favorite stealth character is Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations. He is a very sneaky bastard, a lady’s man and great with disguises. His hot body in action when assassinating is too much for me.

  • Younis Ahmed

Agent 47 is personally my favourite. It was so awesome taking disguises from dead corpses.

  • Daniel Hofmann

My favorite Stealth character is Hamburglar when he was featured on NES :/ lol

  • david jarman

My favorite character is John Vattic from Free Radical’s game, “Second Sight”
I love how over a period of time your character develops and strengthens his abilities.

    1. You can use your psychic abilities to make people not notice you
    2. Astro project and possess a guard and have him open doors or distract guards so that you can slip by
    3. You can use telepathy to move objects and scare guards or other characters so they leave or panic making for an easy kill. You can even crawl under beds and do this while guards pass by. If you’re out off amo you can grab a guards gun if its on the ground and bring it to you while hidden under the bed.
    4. I’ve never seen so many ways you can take a guard or enemy and be creative about it as well.

Over all it was fun being John Vattic and the story is freaking awesome!

  • mylasthope

Without a doubt, my favorite stealth characer is ezio auditore. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Cristoquer

My favorite character is Solid Snake, one of the best for me

  • Dj

My favorite stealth character is and may always be… Sly Cooper. I loved to play the sly games, stealing coins from guards and goons, hiding from spotlights. It was all so fun and I hope I could enjoy similar gameplay mechanics in Splinter Cell Blacklist.

  • ESJoe

My favorite stealth character is Strider because he stands on his robot dog’s back in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. That’s ninja!

  • Steven_Segal

    My favorite is Sam Fisher.

  • IntrepidEmu

Definitely Garrett from Thief. He’s the only TRUE stealth character in gaming, really. He always tries to complete an objective without being seen and without killing anyone. I can’t think of another stealth character offhand like that (they usually have assassination targets or something).

  • CaptEdster

Have always loved Sam fisher, with Batman and Snake following close behind.

  • akedaveo

Any Rogue (Mine was a Gnome named Brawny Lad) from World of Warcraft. The ability to turn invisible and walk through enemy territories causing mayhem made that game fun for me long after raiding had run its course.

  • swic11

I think my favorite stealth character would have to be Garret from the Thief games. I have been playing them sense the first, and The AI was always great. You always had to cover your tracks. You had to crouch to walk, or you would be heard. You had water arrows to put out torches, moss arrows to shoot hard metallic surfaces with. The game makes you think, and I am pumped for Thief 4!

  • I’d actually have to say that my favorite stealth character of all time is Cate Archer.

And if you don’t know who that is… I really feel sorry for you.

  • Mitch Hall

    Gotta be Batman.

By the way, how do you choose the winner? Put all of the comments in a randomizer?

  • Selina Kyle

Darn it! I already own this game.

  • Carlosh Murielh

I haven’t played many stealth games, so I would say Connor Ratonhnhakรฉ:ton Kenway.
I really enjoyed the missions “without enemy detection” and the way you can hide in the trees

    • Guest

      Solid Snake

  • Rafael Lozano

  • Pokewarrior2000

Snake is a stealth character, right? I choose him if he is. Cause who doesn’t like guys who hide in boxes?

  • Nate Thomas

Im with Ashley, Adam Jensen is awesome.

  • Wayne Beck

    Favorite stealth character huh?..

Has to be Turok. Old school Turok. Those games were always best when you played to not be seen or heard.

  • N N

The only game I’ve played having any stealth elements to it is Skyrim, in which I’m always sneaking around and taking enemies out with my bow. So I have to say my favorite stealth character is the Dragonborn.

  • TheGamerGeek128

Raiden in MGS2 after he loses all of his equipment.

  • Lusunup

Sly cooper, he is a raccoon which I thought was clever since, you know raccoons look like thieves with the furry mask it’s adorable! I grew up playing his games ๐Ÿ™‚ but alas! my heart told me to go towards nintendo I still think his games amazing! Sly is very funny but can be serious, smart alec, and of course stealthy, but hey! he steals from other people who steal now is that so bad?! ๐Ÿ˜› being a stealthy thief literally runs through his family bloodline!

  • darkstar18

some would say batman, others would say james bond but Aiden from watch dogs its going to hack his was into being me number one stealth character ๐Ÿ˜€

  • WobbuffetBassoon

I would have to say Wobbuffet’s little black tail is my favorite stealth character from any game. In a dark cave you never know it’s there until it’s too late!!!

  • SMT-x-FE

    Daniel Lamb: Manhunt

  • Chris Orr

Either Batman from the Arkham games or Sly Cooper. Who couldn’t love a sneaky raccoon thief?!?

  • thuggamer99

i would have to say sly cooper…he’s a raccon soooooo yeah… stealth is sorta his thing.

  • Nick Ingrao

    Snake! Metal Gear Solid.

  • Lorenzo

Gotta be Reptile from Mortal Kombat 2. Probably one of the earliest stealth characters since he was the only MK ninja who could turn invisible. Also, he was badass because he looked like an Anti-Green Ranger in ninja form with FATALITIES ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • All my team mates in league. They must be very stealthy to keep disappearing on me when I need them -.-

  • Josiah Parsons

Rayman in the Sam Fisher costume from the gamestop Rayman Legends Xbox preorder bonus. He looks awesome plus he has no arms! And he looks wicked in the black suit and sonar goggles! And he slaps people! How awesome is that!

  • Scott McAllister

    Batman !

  • Abcgamer

Connor from ac3. I love the way that he navigates through the trees.

  • Shaco

    I am da best :3

  • endCredits

Ellie, – The Last of Us. Playing as her and sneak by and kill “Klickers” really gave me emotions of desperations and survival instinct.

  • mike

Sly cooper is a favorite of mine. Always entertaining

  • yugatsuj

    Django from Boktai

  • Paul

Solid Snake was always my favorite

  • Zakariyya Al-Quran

Mario is the best stealth figure because he can get through any castle toward Browser

  • Sonicgill

    Batman- Arkham City
Nothing beats picking off goons and scaring the others.

  • Nick Benson

James Bond in GoldenEye 64 and Wii. Both are excellent games for stealth as you can sneak up behind enemies and take them out, or just shoot them from a distance with a silenced PP7. You can’t beat the 007 franchise when it comes to stealth games.

  • Tom Hoskins

Got to be from a Metal Gear game for. I’ll go with Psycho Mantis from metal gear solid. He is so stealthy he knows everything you, unless you are so stealthy you put the controller into the 2nd controller port! That was truly innovative gameplay! Brilliant stuff!

  • Batman all the way, the game (Arkham City) just makes me feel so sneaky and awesome!

  • LilShiro

    The spy from TF2.

  • Alvaro Castaรฑeda

I’ll go for James Bond in Goldeneye of N64. Maybe is not as stealth as other games but it is definitely a classic I would go for!!

  • Nuqi Robinson

Leo from Man Hunt 2 ,Nuff Said!

  • Kaleb

I personally like sneaking into the castle as Link, to meet Princess Zelda in Ocarina of Time for the N64, also hiding in a barrel in Wind Waker was quite fun!

My favorite stealth character would be Robin in Batman: Arkham City

  • Max

Jack, from Dynamite Jack. In case you don’t know, it’s a stealth-indie game about a guy named Jack who is pretty much armed with only bombs and a flashlight the whole time.

  • Eli

Come on guys it’s Agent 47 hit man is the best

  • therealruben1

    sly cooper

  • Gabriel Montoya

mine is Predator from Aliens vs. Predator. the 2010 one.

  • guest

    james bond

  • Cristian1993

Swordless link in windwaker. The definition of stealth

  • TULFich

Zero-Suit Samus!!! man, that final post-game stage on Zero Mission was damn awesome and hard!!

  • RandroidRampage

I’m going to have to go with the Noir Spider-Man from Shattered Dimensions, if anybody remembers that game. It sounds like he’s breaking bones when he takes out bad guys.

  • Guest

everyone listed some good masterful steath baddies, but the Titlebelt goes to Grey, Black, or White Spy… From SPY V.S SPY Heard it here first…

  • Chillama

  • Chris

    haha Snake?

  • Ryan

I’ve had mixed feelings about the splinter cell series, but I’m tempted to give this one a try

  • Shelim Uddin

    The dude from assasins creed.

  • Dan Coddington

Has to be Batman I can’t wait for Origins

  • Mega’sTime

    Ezio most definitely for me.

  • Guest

everyone listed some good masterful steath baddies, but the Titlebelt goes to Grey, Black, or White Spy… From SPY V.S SPY Heard it here first…

  • Chadbdude

Naked Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence was my favorite

  • EhenTi LaNero

everyone listed some good masterful steath baddies, but the Titlebelt goes to Grey, Black, or White Spy… From SPY V.S SPY Heard it here first…

  • Swirlzly

Snake cause who else can pull hiding in a box?

  • Antar Rodrรญguez

thiS game is awesome, oNline is awesome As well but pairing sucKs and has a lot of freezing issuEs

  • bakedapplepie

Link. A master of stealth, battle, and speechless drama.

  • Curtis Sexton

Abe from Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee. For sneaking through shadows. A character with no real weapons besides being smarter than the guards.

  • Myles Rodriguez

    GO CORVO! (Dishonored)

  • Derek Atwater

Styx from Of Orcs and Men. Something about kicking a human in the back of the knee to get them down to your level is just satisfying.

  • 3DS_2DS

    Sam definitely sam

  • Goob1246

Mario from Mario Chase. That guy takes forever to find.

    • Not if my wife plays…my record for catching her is 6 seconds which I beat my previous record of 11 seconds.

  • Zach Albright

Edward Kenway from Assassins Creed 4 would have to be my favorite stealth character at this point…. I know that AC4 hasn’t been released yet but I just love the pirate theme of the game considering I’m a huge fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. A pirate trained by assassins seems to be just epic and i’m forever loving the idea of Edward Kenway!

  • LunarNinja

My fav stealth character is Ezio Auditore.

  • TheGMO808

John Vattic from Second Sight. Truly an underrated game on the game cube. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • JonnyGamble

I was going to say Adam Jensen, but a few people have already mentioned him. After him, I’d have to go with Altair from the first Assassin’s Creed game. While its stealth mechanics were a little basic and with dumb AI, I liked how stealth was very important in his game.

  • Steven Scott

My favorite stealth character would have to be Agent 47, he is just the best when it comes to stealth

  • helpo

um i have to say mario i mean he so stealthy jk he is om mushrooms sometimes :3 id have to say solid snake he hides in Boxes ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Ryushi

Easy, has to be Snake, it’s extremely hard to ignore his level of awesomeness.

  • ShadowWalker67

I love splinter cell so I got to go with Sam Fisher. But my next fav stealth character would have to be Jade from Beyond Good and Evil.

  • Sideswipe

    Mario from Super Mario Bros.

  • Nathan Eyre

The unnamed Ninja from “Mark of the Ninja”. A character who is not only great at stealth, but is also a master assassin. How could you you go wrong?

  • YayGs

I’m trying to choose between Garrett from Thief or Agent 47 from Hitman.
I’ve only played Thief Gold and the only Hitman game I haven’t played is Absolution, it’s a tough decision for me, but I think I have to go with Garrett because of Thief’s originality when it came out. That game made the phrase “Sticking to the Shadows”.

    • James

      Love that game!

  • Peter Parker

I live in South America (my Wii U is from USA). Can I join the contest??

  • Darkness

I know this is a Sony exclusive character, but he is my favorite stealth character Sly Cooper

  • Josiah

Link when he is sneaking into the castle in Ocarina of Time for the N64 ๐Ÿ™‚ One of my greatest childhood gaming memories

  • JB

    Hands down Batman!

  • David Porter

    Solid Snake is pretty cool

  • Jabal Talj

Dr. Andonuts was never suspected to be hiding in that trash can!
    (Mother 3)

I vote Batman. For one thing, even with that jawline, he can mask himself from the Bruce Wayne identity, and more importantly, he is the Master of Shadows. He is the BAT.

  • Donaald

    Ummm… Batman.

  • Marcus Market

Drake, Snake, Joel, 3 great characters with stealthy personalities. But I would have to say Sly Cooper, he is the best stealthy character.

  • Gauru Shiro

I’m not trying to be a troll but I really liked snake from metal gear solid. It would be so awesome if that came on the wiiu…

  • What?? I posted earlier

Of the games I played I would have to say my favorite stealth character is Batman from the Arkham series games. I like swooping in and taking thugs down silently in a sleeper hold or by stringing them up on a ledge hanging upside down. I don’t play many war themed games with soldiers so my exposure to stealth characters is probably limited compared to others so maybe getting this game would open me to a new game that I would probably not purchase myself.

  • Tantalum

I gotta go with the cliched answer and say Snake from MGS. There needs to be more of these games on Nintendo systems!

My favorite character from any stealth game would be the people you play as from the AC series. I liked riding my horse through the world in ACIII. : )

  • Monster Planet X

Batman is by far my favourite stealthy from the Arkham series!

  • Spencer Manigat

My favorite video game stealth character is definitely Sly Cooper. He feels like he belongs on Nintendo!

  • Yuri Barros

My favourite stealth character is, in fact, Snake, but I’d love to know Sam Fisher.

  • Mario

Definitely Connor from Assassins Creed III. It was the first game of the series I played and love it! I know that in a mordern setting as Sam Fisher’s one, I will enjoy the game so much,

  • lonewolf88

adam jensen from human revolution he is awesome.

  • Daniel Brown

It’s as if saying Sam Fisher is a bad thing, since it’s his game we’re trying to win, but I would have to say Sam Fisher. Just because he introduced me to the stealth genre with Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I remember playing the co-op on that with my brothers over and over and laughing like crazy at how we’d get fed up being stealthy and just start shooting the place up.
But yeah, to recap, Sam Fisher is just way cool.

Some real people that are heros, Seal Team 6! They were very good on that mission! :]

If it has to be from a game then I like Ghost from MW2 a lot.

    • Ryushi

      Okay. . .? I’m not sure how that applys. . .

  • SeeSpotBrun

Abe from Oddworld! I can’t wait for New n’ Tasty!

  • NEStalgiaFox

Either Solid Snake or Sly Cooper.

  • hipbro

    Sam fisher

  • Fifi Larns

I love Rouge the bat from the Sonic games ๐Ÿ˜€ . She’s one of those stealthy yet sexy girls who are dangerous and proves that even the loveliest of roses have thorns lol ๐Ÿ˜‰ . Wherever there is a rare gem you can count on Rouge to be there in the shadows getting ready for her biggest heist ;D .

  • Payaso_Muerto

My favorite stealth-based character, it just has to be Solid Snake. So many early memories of the Metal Gear series that reminds me of the reason why I still game today.

  • Jonathan R. Tryon

    Sly Cooper THO!

  • Michael Ngo

Zubats; you never see them but they ALWAYS pop up!

  • The Libyan

Gotta love Snake. Metal Gear Solid 5 looks really good and the gameplay they showed featured some awesome stealth. Lol, to be honest, the reason I want this game so bad is because the first level is in Benghazi, Libya. My name should help you understand. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Emil Mombay

Snake from metal gear solid. After playing snake eater on the 3ds, I became a huge fan!

  • Jeff Stonegraber

The ninja turtles in Out of the Shadows.

  • Edson Almaguer

Link, from the legend of zelda the wind waker. That part at forsaken fortress… really nice stealth action.

  • marshal

    tenchu rikkimaru

  • ICHI

Although I can’t enter (being a UK chap) Corvo Attano from Dishonored has been the most original and fun stealth action hero for a long while.

  • Mark Bruce

I’ve got to say my favorite stealth character is definitely Solid Snake … I mean, just sneaking around in that box and then taking out an unsuspecting foe is so satisfying!

  • Oskar

    Easy! Chase McCain, every day.

  • Guest

People may think Im crazy but ONE of my favorite stealth games was Steve McQueen from “The Great Escape” on original XBOX. Maybe because it was more realistic. No light meters, or sound meters. Just the darkness, searchlights, and guard dogs trying to spot you. ๐Ÿ˜›

    • Stephen Davis

Don’t know why posted twice and showed me as a guest when logged in. Oh well ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Stephen Davis

People may think Im crazy but ONE of my favorite stealth games is Steve McQueen from “The Great Escape” published by Take Two Interactive and Gotham Games on original XBOX. Maybe because it was more realistic. No light meters, or sound meters. Just the darkness, searchlights, and guard dogs trying to spot you. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Matt Robertson

My favorite stealth character is Link from the Wind Waker (and now WW:HD!)
Shimmying around walls. Stealthily using rails to sneak around. Those shifty eyes. Nobody ever saw the Hero coming!

  • nameucanthate

I really think Altair and Ezio from the Assassin Creed games are really cool. There is no greater satisfaction than pouncing on someone and hearing that “click” as your hidden blade slides between thier ribcage ๐Ÿ™‚ All jokes aside, I really think Assassins are awesome.

  • Andrew Mendoza

Sam fisher! It all started with chaos theory, to double agents, now… AANYWAyS I need to get this game -_-

  • Gregory Delsaux

    Thief of Thief: Deadly Shadows

  • Pebbicle

This is a very hard one… But I’ll have to go with Altair Ibn-La’Ahad! This is not only because Assassin’s Creed is my favorite game series, but also because the character has that special aura that makes you love him without him having to even say a single word. Some people see him as emotionless or even stale when compared to Ezio… but the thing is, Altair was trained into the Brotherhood! Back in his times, the assassins were abundant, Altair was trained to be silent and emotionless, he was trained to kill and not to feel sympathy.
However that is not to say that he has no personality, he does, it’s just that it’s very subtle. He is a very loyal person, but when he is finally betrayed by his mentor and leader he starts to lose faith and his entire world is shattered. Only then he starts to learn humility and are able to understand other people and admit his mistakes. His character arc unfolds bit after bit with every assassination and that is something not many games can succeed in doing, the way Ubisoft created him to being a complete stranger to us, to becoming a lovable protagonist is very masterfully crafted.

On top of that, he is the original badass ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Aaron Bryant

Two favorite stealth characters one everybody picks and one that don’t get much love. Snake is one that everybody knows but sly Cooper is such a different and cool stealth character (and game) that he’s my favorite too.

  • YogiGRB

Aarggh to bad for the region lock cause i’m from amsterdam. But still my favourite stealth character ….. Altaรฏr from the first assassin’s creed

  • Cory Mosena

Agent 47 hands down. “Names are for friends, so I don’t need one”

  • Marcel Kleine

I think James Bond in GoldenEye 007.

  • Colter

My favorite character from a stealth game is James Bond from Goldeneye 007. Man did l play the crap out of that game

  • Scott McKay

I would have to say Sam Fisher or Solid snake =)

  • Caitlinโ™‚

Ezio has to be one of my favorite stealth characters.

  • Scott Morgan

I’m not sure if it counts, but my favorite stealth character was the Ghost in the original Starcraft game. I don’t know if any other multiplayer moment has been as heart-stopping as hearing, “Nuclear launch detected.”

  • Teplรกn Csaba

Favorite stealth character from any game ? Ofc Zeratul from StarCraft !

  • Matthew Santos

Solid snake from MMEEETTTAAALLLL GGGEEEAAARRR!!!!!! He can survive a sinking tanker, and can still beat up crap in his 80’s

  • Max Verhage

    conner from ac3

  • Justin Ross

  • Tony B

Well definitely Rikimaru, from the Tenchu series!!! One of the best stealth assassins out their!

  • Moving Pixels Enthusiast

Corvo from Dishonored. The way he was framed then redeemed himself was amazing. He didn’t say anything, but his actions were what told most about him.

  • Guest

    Hi Ashley,

Mine has got to be Agent 47 from the Hitman series.

The reason for this is because he is the perfect stealth agent, as he was engineered and trained heavily in order to get to the status he is in. He also lack emotion, which helps a lot, as others are very vulnerable just on that. The games he is also featured in are great, similar to the early splinter cell games. He knows when to act and when to do things at the right time. Because of this, he is my favorite.

(I would be really happy if I won this game, as I am tight on money and I’m tired of playing Nintendoland and games from my old Wii collection)

    Sulama T.

One of the best stealth games would be splinter cell Pandora tomorrow. That game taught me the importance of lighting, walking speed, distance. Etcetera. And by extension Sam Fisher is one of the best stealth characters. Everyone should fear him!

  • Canes Monta Jr.

    Sam Fisher since day one

  • Justin Jefferson

  • Zbirdlive

    Hmmm favorite stealth character……….Obviosly Batman!

  • Eesnamdoww

Definitely Batman form any of the Arkham games. He uses stealth to put fear into the hearts of his enemies, who can be cooler than that? Nobody, because he’s the GODDAMN BATMAN

  • Gabriel “Gabe” Logan of Syphon Filter

  • Aaron Kempkes

I have to go with Batman as well. However, my reasoning is because he is just a regular person (a billionaire at that) but his money, resources and gadgets make him a worthy superhero. His ability to sneak up on enemies and make his way unseen through the city make him my favorite. He is a classic and always will be.

  • Cameron

I thoroughly enjoyed playing as Jean-Luc Cougar, the hero from the N64, answer to metal gear, WinBack. That game was so intense and loved it every minute of it. Wolverine in X2: wolverines revenge for gamecube was a close second.

  • Definitely Locke from Final Fantasy VI. Sneaking around South Figaro, stealing costumes and saving ice cold soldiers. Can’t beat the thieTREAURE HUNTER.

  • Paul BeDell

Garrett from Thief is my favorite stealthy character to date. I played Thief: The Dark Project way back in 1998 for days on end.

  • Alexander Kleinwechter

Why can’t you buy a game outside of nort america if there are some european that wants to join this contest

    • Nathan DeFalco

Not sure if you’ve had your question answered, but they didn’t buy the game. It’s their review copy. Most likely it was given to them.

  • WarioForever

Solid Snake, I really like him. Also I hope there will be some MGS games for Nintendo consoles – it would be great if MGS5 will come out for Wii U too.

  • Guest

  • Christopher Smith

I like sam fisher because that’s the only stealth character I’ve played with.

  • hammy

  • hammy

I also really like ac3’s Coner

  • Kody Wheat

I’d have to go with Sheik! I always thought it was cool that the Sheikah had the ability to use magic to IMPROVE their stealth skills, such as their ability to vanish in a bright flash of light!

  • Swikar

Agent 47 from Hitman 2:silent assasins one of the first games i played on gamecube!! That guy was absolute beast he could set traps, give silent kills(by running and gunning) or assasinate his targets…

  • TheGMO808

John Vattic from Second Sight. Truly an underrated game on the game cube. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • mgetzski

Sam Fisher is the man. I haven’t played Splinter Cell since the original Xbox days. Would love to give it a try on my kid’s WiiU.

  • Juan Miguel Garza

    Sam Fisher! Hands down!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • walt cart

For me it’s Solid snake and or Raiden.

  • Paul R.

First thought James Bond. I love the stealth elements in those games. Second Sly Cooper.

  • goldenfirered136

I believe Solid Snake from MGS3 is my Fav stealth character. He had to do Stealth missions none with of the future tec from his other mates from the other games in the series. I would like to see how Sam Fisher goes as i have never played a Splinter Cell game yet!!

  • Richard

Garrett from the Thief serious is not only my favorite stealth character but one of my all-time favorite characters in general. It makes me sad to think about what they are doing to the character in the reboot.

  • Ryebread

I don’t play many stealth games but i will pick Agent 47 from Hitman. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Ivan

My favorite stealth character would have to be Spiderman Noir from Shattered Dimensions. I’m not the biggest Spiderman fan so I didn’t know about him prior to the game, but I loved how different he was from the other Spider-Men (Mans?)

  • Dumbpants

    Corvo from Dishonored.

  • TashMasta

the stealth action sub-genre is perhaps my favorite genre of game. I can spend hours on splinter cell chaos theory, trying to sneak past without a single kill or knockout, instantly reloading the entire level if a single guard even suspects my presence.

Choosing a favorite stealth character is an incredibly difficult affair for me, as it is a genre which often has incredibly well designed main characters, filled with personality.

A short while ago I would have answered “Sam Fisher” without hesitation, his sarcastic tone and trademark goggles work perfectly. However, his last outing-Splinter Cell Conviction- was incredibly poor in my opinion, and I have since lost my respect for his character.

Instead I think I’m going to side with a newer addition to the stealth-action roster, Corvo Attano from Dishonored.

This game, for any of you who only own Nintendo consoles, basically presents you with a kind of “Death Sandbox”, where one can progress through the level in any way they choose. They can go in guns blazing, shooting and stabbing their way through, or they can go for the far superior stealthy option. leaping from roof tops to lunge your sword into a guards neck, chocking a guard from behind before tossing him in a nearby trash can, or even possessing a guard and making them walk helplessly into a piranha infested river.Whatever your method it’s sure to be challenging but incredibly fun.

Corvo dons a bad ass skull mask, similar to the one worn by Darth Nihlius, albeit a tad more steam punk. His art style is perfect and his magical powers are something that, until now, I hadn’t realized were so helpful in a stealth action game. his personality maybe a little lacking but the constant struggle of betrayal that he has to deal with explains his silence and blood lust.
The story, whilst short, is handled brilliantly with a great final twist lurking at the end. It was one of those games that left me hungry for more and I really hope we get to see more of Corvo Attano in the near future, especially on Wii U.

So there you have it, my favorite Stealth charcter

  • Billy Poore

Come on everybody, Solid Snake from MGS!

  • ACSL8R

Solid Snake, he’s one of my favorites just because of the utilities he owns when he’s in trouble, he can be very sneaky, especially in the game Metal Gear Solid 3, all the different camouflages you can use to be hidden, and through the years even in Metal Gear Solid 4 when he’s an old man, he can still do neat tricks, just like when he was a bit more young.

  • Daniel Langewisch

    Batman from Arkham City!

  • PerrysburgGuy

The name is Bond, James Bond.

  • Rahi Chowdhury

    Ezio Auditore! FTW

Good equipement, master of disgueses, lady charmer <—- THE PERFECT PACKAGE :3

  • triforcehunter

Solid Snake stealth style from underneath a cardboard box.

  • RumblyElk

Hands down it was Corvo from Dishonored. It was the best stealth game I’ve played in a looooong time, and it was only made all the better by a protagonist who is amazingly deep for being silent.

  • Nathan Moore

I’m going to have to go with Toon Link in Wind Waker. For reals. Forsaken Fortress? Nah dawg.

  • Darklurkr23

Snake all the way! He’s just got dem cigarettes, and himself. I wish they’d do a Snake/Sam crossover just once. Could be epic XD

  • Juilen Cardenas

I think in my opinion ezio from Assassin’s Creed is probably my favorite. He has so much skills and i like his personality and character a lot! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • patrick_go

Ralph wolf from Infogrames Sheep Raider (NA) or Sheep, Dog โ€˜nโ€™ Wolf (EU). Itโ€™s rare to get a game this simple, fun and challenging these days. One of PSX little known gems.

  • Quicksilver88

Gonna have to go with Snake just because so many great MG games over so many generations……I will say the unamed Ninja in Mark of the Ninja is my favorite recently..If you have a x360 or PC please buy this game as it is both one of the best 2D games ever (and I have played all the metroids and castlevanias) and one of the best stealth games…..great replay as you can play different styles and even play 100% without killing.

  • Dennis Fisher Jr

Corvo.. Dishonored, the man can Freeze time.

    Solid Snake. Nuff’ said.

  • Ryan Sattler

my favorite rogue character would have to be my dwarf rogue in WOW of course…but if you want an actual character I’m going to have to go with Ezio from AC2

  • hammy

assassin’s creed Ezio but it depends on how you play

  • hammy

    sam fisher

  • Victor

Jan Jansen from Baldur’s Gate 2 Shadows of Amn & Throne of Bhaal. Race: gnome. Class: Thief/Illusionist. Amazing dialogue with every character and great back story.

  • oadekunl

Ezio Auditore. That guy had stealth AND personality!

  • Phillip Fry

My favorite stealth character is Daniel Lamb from Manhunt 2. Everyone hated on the game, but I thought it was pretty fun.

  • epitom3

Link from windwaker. My first stealth experience sneaking through the forsaken fortress. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • JCman7

Luigi is very stealthy in Luigis Mansion ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Nathan Martinez

    Solid Snake easy

  • Energonkid

    Solid Snake

  • MysticDude97

Rayman from Rayman: Legends, because who doesn’t like the new Rayman games? By the way, I’m referring to Rayman as a stealth player due to some levels in the game requiring major amounts of stealth.

  • wackypizza

Solid Snake from metal gear solid is the best. but fisher is pretty cool.

  • Daniel Schwarz

I’m a big fan of Batman’s stealth in the Arkham series. It’s so satisfying to grapple down onto a baddie from a gargoyle and leave him hanging upside-down, or knock out a goon immediately after popping out of an air vent, and then smoke bomb and poof… disappear.

So yeah, I’m going with Batman ๐Ÿ™‚

  • incoherent1

Tie Fighter’s main character from the old school Star Wars PC game. I *loved* that game as a kid and remember fondly some of the levels you’d have to fly a stolen rebel fighter and complete spy missions without being detected. Great game and really innovative to make a flight sim game into something more than blasting enemies.

  • SuperShadow271 .

I’m really starting to like Agent 47!

  • Mamityh

One of my first stealth games was Tenchu so I’d have to say Rikimaru. Such a great series if you’ve never played. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Coy Pauldino

For my favorite stealth character, it would definitely have to be none other than Batman, The Dark Knight. Rocksteady made great use of his stealth tactics in Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.

  • Frangie S Yu

i love stealth games.. for me Sam Fisher … more tactics.. different way of steatlh .. love the story.. voices character too.. more moves in way killing bad guys.. especially chasing Kobin..

  • InterTreble

Deus Ex and Splinter Cell are may favorite stealth sagas! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Blugrave

I would definitely have to say Batman from the Arkham series. Never has a game forced me to be so completely stealthy. You can look at Dishonored, yes you have the option to beat the game without touching anybody but you can seriously hack and slash throughout the entire game. Even Sam Fisher can be super stealthy however you can just punch your way through the game. You can’t do this with the Arkham series. Batman is definitely the definitive stealth king in my opinion. Never have I felt so much more of an assassin than with Batman. Assassins
Creed cool, Splinter Cell cool, Dishonored cool, Metal Gear Cool, BUT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE BATMAN!

  • e_rocket

Haven’t play the game… but, Violette Summer from Velvet Assassin, looks like an interesting character…

  • Mario Lanuza

While Mark of Kri wasn’t a stealth game, I loved the stealth kills Rau Utu uses, they’re awesome. And the game was pretty good

  • pepisho

Sam Fisher becasue al the technology that he uses !!! love the series !!

  • Felipe Gil

Why has no one mentioned the Marked ninja from mark of the Ninja? One of the best stealth games I’ve ever played, very inventive methods of getting around opponents in a 2D plane no less!

  • hammy

    Sam fisher

  • hammy

  • Federico Madden

    Bitch please, Ezio.

  • iamserious

    Arkham Batman!

  • Andy Johnson

My favorite stealth character would be James Bond easily. He has the moves, and the looks to show for it. Also he is played by 5-6 different actors! haha.

  • gtosheex

It has to be Link from Ocarina of Time when you are trying to sneak into the castle to see Zelda. It isn’t particularly hard but it is definitely the most memorable stealth part of any video game for me. + the awesome music!

  • Phil Lukems

My favorite stealth character is Rikimaru from the tenchu series. That is a lost gem though.

  • Guest

I like Raiden. I doubt Snake or Sam Fisher could handle stealth so gracefully while in the nude.

  • Kenneth Pereira

Solid Snake is the best in the world!

  • unbiasedgamer

Favorite stealth character would be 47 from Hitman, such a serious guy with an awesome suit!

  • Suck_My_Ballz

Agent 47, Max payne, and Jack slate from dead to rights

  • Daniel Ruiz

Honestly I’m going to have to say Jason Brody from Far Cry 3! I know it’s possible to come out guns blazing in the game but it’s also possible to sneak your way through, and I caught myself stealth killing enemies over a nice chunk of the game. This might not be a strictly stealth game, and Jason definitely isn’t as iconic as Sam but by the end of the game I was left more then impressed with Jason! A worthy contender for sure.

  • JesusNintendero

    Solid Snake in a box!

  • Thien Vu

since were talking bout stealth n mastery of the art, sam fisher… splits on the walls n drop downs, silent lurking in the night, silencer, spy gear, yeah theres plenty of others but slinter cell (first 2/3 games) were a new thing in itself… spy vs mercs was awesome also, glad they brought that back

  • Mark

Sam Fisher+Solid Snake+Big Boss+Raiden=Best Stealth Soldier in the world.

  • babulibaba

My favorite stealth characters have to be Robo and Mobo from Bonanza Bros

  • Chris Boyd

Solid Snake, he’s like batman of war. Batman x Deathstroke. Master of stealth and Combat, no one can match him. Plus, he’s the first to play hide and seek in gaming. Even, if I’m to scared to play his games lol. Big Boss for life!!!

  • Caleb Dudley

Stealth? Well, my favorite from a modern game has to be the Infiltrator in Planetside 2. It’s awesome to cloak around and then snipe people.

  • Luis Santiago

Tenchu!! Omg, we need a new tenchu for Wii U!
