If there’s one thing Ubisoft can be commended for, it’s for their tremendous support of the Wii U. So far we know that Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed 4, and Rayman Legends will be hitting the Wii U this fall from the developer, but according to a recent listing on Amazon France, it looks like the speculated Splinter Cell: Blacklist could be among those titles as well.

The game is scheduled to be released on August 20th and will be the first time the protagonist of the series–Sam Fisher–received a major overhaul in the form of a different voice and mo-cap actor.

Well, if Amazon France listed it, it’s certain to happen. They are like the best place to go for leaks. 🙂

      *cough* piracy *cough*

This is probably true. I’ve seen previous splinter cell games for Wii and even gamecube. And with recent Wii U support Ubisoft has been giving out It’s bound to come.

    • Yep, that’s what I’m thinking. It’s good news for the Wii U, but as a Splinter Cell fan myself I’m worried about the loss of Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher’s voice.

I don’t particularly have any attachment to the Character, but I’ve always loved the gameplay. I think the Wii U will do great things for this game, if they take advantage of the Gamepad.

Chaos Theory is still my favorite Splinter Cell… Man, it was so fun… Remember the crane and how you could smash the wall so that it opens up to the Spy Shop? C:

That reminds me of Halo 2 and free DLC…

        I’m depressed now…

        • I really enjoyed Chaos Theory for the gameplay but the co-op in Conviction was nice.

I love Ubisoft. They support Nintendo more than anyone else and because Ubisoft games are usually good.

Earlier today I read a new interview with Michael Pachter, the man that Nintendo fans don’t like at all. Wii U Daily won’t post it here because nintendolife.com interviewed him.

After reading the interview I must admit that Pachter isn’t so bad but he’s not a good video game analyst either. He’s average at best. A lot of what he says makes little sense and he likes to state the obvious. He’s Captain Obvious sometimes.

He basically said (in that interview) that he doesn’t understand what Nintendo is trying to accomplish with the Wii U. He doesn’t understand what’s so great about a touchscreen on the controller. But then he says that the Wii U won’t sell much, it will sell just like the GameCube or slightly better. If Nintendo drops the price below $199 than it will sell just like the Wii.

My question is, how can he predict something he doesn’t understand? You need to take the time to understand the Wii U before you make any predictions at all. He also says he doesn’t think the Wii U is anything special. How can you say that after admitting that you don’t understand what Nintendo is trying to do and accomplish with the Wii U? He still doesn’t understand why DS was so successful so he can’t make predictions for the Wii U yet.

He thinks Wii U won’t be a success just because it’s weaker than PS4 and next Xbox. He needs to take the time to understand the Wii U first and then make predictions.

Pachter loves Bayo, he’ll get to understand the Wii U once Bayo2 comes out because he’ll have to get a Wii U. 😀

  • I thought we already knew we were getting this?

    • Robknoxious1

Not exactly. If memory serves some guy working on the game posted something on a profile page. In that post it mentions the platforms including Wii U.

      No official confirmation.

      • well at least this is a bit better

  • david jarman

Yes!…I think Gilbert Gottfried should play as his voice! Just kidding!

  • Cap9

Can someone say sticky cam feed on the wii u gamepad? 😀 I truly believe the Wii U versions of multi platform games will be the best, if developers add good ideas for the gamepad.

I’m hoping this and Rainbow 6 Patriots come as well. But one thing Ubisoft NEEDS to make is ZombiU 2!

    • I hope the Rainbow Six franchise progresses better than Future Soldier. It was very hand-holdy and not at all tactical. They took the executions from Conviction and put them in Future Soldier and called it a day. Not the best tactical gameplay.

      • Jimmy D. Fugate

I agree and the trailer for Rainbow 6 look very good as well.

        • dylanbob121

hmm…I was thinking more of a make up rayman game made from the creator himself…

  • dylanbob121
