You can tell we’re getting closer and closer to the Wii U release date by the amount of game box art that’s been released over the past few weeks. Just yesterday we saw ZombiU box art, and recently, we got the Scribblenauts Unlimited cover, and a set of game covers for Assassin’s Creed 3, Rabbids Land, and Madden NFL 13. You can find those here. Now SEGA has released Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Wii U box art, which looks much like the other versions. But that was sort of expected. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be a Wii U launch title this Fall, and features racing on land, water, air, and even in outer space. You can find the box art below:

Its a mouth full of a title but i believe the game will- -more than make up for it. πŸ™‚

almost as bad as ”playstation all stars battle stars all royale mash up star royale”. well not that bad ;).

this game is a wiiu game with CONFIRMED better graphics than the other platforms , which only means great things are possible on wiiu in the future.

i dont think anyone should expect hardly any launch games to be 1080p with advanced textures etc. they are launch games , the devs have had like a year and a half to make them. the games which arrive in the following year for wiiu SHOULD look much better than ps3 and 360 games.

      • icanseeu

Actually its been confirmed to have worse graphics then the PS3 version. There are issues with the frame rate ad screen tear. Check out the article on

        • nintedward

when sumo digital said ”the wiiu has way way more memory than other consoles” and they would be able to make textures and rendering better, and it will look ”all lovely and shiney” compare to the other 2.

??? sounds like to me .

let me just chizzle something into your head – THE WIIU HAD MODERN ARCHITECTURE AND BETTER GRAPHICS THAN CURRENT GEN.

          good night.

      • Nintendude

Who cares? It’s a Nintendo site.

      • mtx123456

Who gives a fuck, we are on a fansite anyway. Some guys in here are die-hard fanboys, but we can’t really scream FANBOY at them on a fansite.

    • trashz

I have exactly the same Nintendo consoles as you! πŸ˜€ Just waiting for the Wii U.

    • NinTobias

Obviously Nintendo are awesome, but you don’t want Microsoft or Sony blown out of gaming existence, otherwise the entire gaming industry would fail. Constant competition inspires companies to keep pushing their consoles to the next level and improve, so that they are at their very best. Otherwise, Nintendo would get lazy, and stop making brilliant consoles like the Wii U, as they would see no reason to be innovative and come up with new ideas for the industry. Companies take ideas from each other, and improve them, so that we end up with the best end product. We need all three companies, and more would be welcome. Well not Apple-because they’ll sue anybody who does anything vaguely similar to what they do-which would not be good for the gaming industry…

  • roedburn

    Nice coloration.

  • nod786

I don’t know how you guys feel, but this is getting exciting! even though I expect the Wii U to be delayed here in Europe, I just can’t wait for the long awaited HD to hit us Nintendo fans the only thing that would top this excitement for me would be to know what Retro is working on, seeing SSB & not forgetting Zelda in HD!!

I’m also excited for the game pad as I was for the Wii mote, I can see a lot of applications in games using & no I don’t mean in a cheesey way, but in a way that will make companies like Microsoft and Sony think.. someone once said that the ultimate form of flattery is copying the product that’s out there. (so I say let them copy, as nothing rushed will be as good as the real thing)

We have seen this across all ways of life small cheap cars trying to intergrade compliments that the more expensive cars have.

Moving back to the controller imagine playing games like need for speed or project cars where you no longer have to look at a small screen or intrupet play by looking at the rear view mirror now you can have all the vital information in the game pad.

Or imagine 1st person shooter such as COD or BF (I know not all of you like these games but these are the games that makes consoles sell) where you can take all the HUD information and put it on the controller or if you’re flying a plan you can fly but at the same time you can you the controller to fire using the guns. Another way would be if you’re a sniper when you go into scope mode normally you can’t see anything else but with this now you can change it so the map is displayed on the screen while you are scoping.

Just a few of my Ideas which I’m sure most of the companies are looking into right now.

    • NoPUNintendo

I love your ideas. My self, I thought of a cool Zelda game. We all know the Master Sword was lost after Wind Waker, so what if in the new Wii U Zelda game, you have to find it? In a submarine. The Wii U gamepad is the Sonar for example. Or just a submarine game. Still there’s so many possiblites with the Wii U.

    • nucima

      Your suggestions sound well.

Sadly, what I read till know in previews, the looking down on the pad totally destroys the gameplay (Zombi U Preview, think it was or IGN).
The journalist said it would totally destroy the atmosphere, because while looking down you see your living room. You can’t imagine anymore to be “in the game”.

Also read already, that it should be pretty hard to concentrate on both screens, so one is always useless..

Sorry, I know my posts are all very pessimistic…
But I more favor it to get surprised that the WiiU is still great instead of hyping it up and than becoming disappointed.

      • Grodus

Well, both those sites hate nintendo, so…yeah!

Anyway, for nod’s ideas, great! Although for sniping, I imagine that the Wii U being a scope on the zapper would be perfect, and you would have to have a wiimote for both those (mine and your’s), but it is nevertheless a great idea.

      • nod786

I’m sorry but that comment “The journalist said it would totally destroy the atmosphere, because while looking down you see your living room. You can’t imagine anymore to be β€œin the game” is just nonsense… you’re telling me when you play games use a computer use anything you’re (not just you but anyone even him) not aware of your surroundings? and in current games lets take Fifa or COD… (same for any other game).

If you sit with your face glued to the TV or computer screen and I mean to 5” away from the point of view I would agree with you that you wouldn’t what to take your eyes of the screen as it would spoil the effect, but no one in their right mind sits that close, I’m sure like me gamers site well away from the TV so no matter what you do you will always see other things around you.

That’s my first point. Moving on to my 2nd point – concentrating on two screens…

I’m sorry but come on now if you drive do you only look at one point on the road? no you keep an eyes on things going around you.. when you’re watch TV and using the computer which most people do now days you have the ability to take in information at a quick glance.. the human body isn’t as retarded as some of these people would like you to think.

All I’m saying is you multi task everyday in your life I would love to ask the person who wrote that if he doesn’t multitasking in his or her everyday life.

That only requires a quick glance so nothing is taken away. Above all in my final year project while doing computer games design I did a study on controllers and how to make them more comfortable out of the study you can test this if you like if you clear your head and just let you hands fall they will about 5/6 inches apart and again if you look at the position of your thumb and fingers, your thumb will point upward and in some-cases depending how big your thumb is will overlay your finger and in my design of the controller I moved the stick (i used something else no sticks πŸ˜‰ ) to the very top of the controller just like in the game pad now and with the pro controller.

I just put the last thing there as I know sooner or later someone will try to find yet another fualt with the controller…. but forget about my years worth or research I did for my final year project, just think any company that release a hand held product spend millions if not more in vast amounts of research to make sure it is as comfortable as possible… The only controller I have problems with is the PS1/2/3 > 4 (some of you will get the sarcastic joke there πŸ˜‰ ) is because its like the sticks were a last minute add on to the controller they make you move your thumb in a odd angle which is not comfortable at all but more importantly because your thumbs don’t sit in the right place they lose the grip and slide off and it doesn’t help that the shape is like a mushroom which gives it even less grip, but lastly because they are in the wrong place I have noticed this when playing fifa on the ps3 when you push up on the stick they go up at a angle so this might be a bit to the right or a bit to the left but never dead on and that can only be down to bad design.

I know I went on there a bit but it just annoyed me that these so called reporters say things like this (including our loved Pacther Β¬_Β¬ ) without any knowledge I don’t mean year and years but even 1% would help… and these are the people that hate change they are used to one thing and one thing only and can’t bare it when people try to implement change for the better..

I do like the transforming car, to boat, to plane idea…it worked so well on Mario Kart 7. I probably will rent this game to begin with, but I definitely won’t rent just buy when MK comes to the WiiU…

Am I only supposed to say I will love every game coming to the WiiU just because I am a Nintendo Fan-boy. Don’t dislike my comments because I am honest. I think it should be a cool game, and I like Sonic and his world BUT they are taking and working off the success of the Mario Kart series and no one can’t say they’re not. So, I will rent this game to see if it has legs and then maybe buy it BUT I will Pre-order and get the next Mario Kart from day one for WiiU…sorry just being real and I am not the only one that will do it either.

  • Latepate

Looks like a rip off of mario kart 7… Boats and flying cars…

    • Riko

Mario Kart had cars that glided a bit and drove underwater. Not proper planes and boats

  • Macarony64

The blue blur will grace a nintendo on released day for the first time this is gaming history on the making and i will be part of it

  • Kamon

I like the Wii U’s box art. It kind of looks like a blue ray box. I’m glad they went with it now. :]

  • donicx

    hey it matches

    • TheBoldman67

      I was gonna say that.

  • Carlos Hugo

I can not get used to this blue boxes of Wii U

    • Macarony64

Im sure some one said the same thing abbout the greens boxses of the xbox

      • Grodus

Yeah, and the wii, and gamecube and PS3…But yeah, my point is people say that a lot.

    • ThatBoingGuy

It helps it differentiate from the Wii white boxes when it comes time for parents who don’t know the difference (still) of the Wii from the Wii U

  • BananaPwnz

Meh, its not going to as good as the upcoming Mario Kart game

  • revolution5268

i hope sonic don’t fall in the blue ocean in the blue cover.

  • SteampunkJedi

This game looks like it could be very good.

  • LordiMcKill

I’m surprised that there’s no Nintendo Network logo at the top, I hope it does have online modes.

  • ThatBoingGuy

Why does Sonic need a car?!! He can probably go faster on foot!

I like the blue boxes too πŸ˜€

    • PSWii60

Sonic is in a car to make it fair for the other racers. πŸ˜›

  • Sikora

Does it have online? Like MK?

  • Riko

It does have online, 10 player multiplayer, arenas and races

  • GirlGamer

Zombie U Box art , ScribbleNauts box art and pre order , and Sonic all stars sega racing box art , something tells me that the wii u is close too launch!
