The download sizes for Sonic Lost World on both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS have been revealed. The Wii U version of the game will require 8.37GB of free space, while the 3DS version clocks in at a hefty 10,235 blocks, or 1.25GB. Sonic Lost World will be available in both Nintendo eShops for the systems.

Currently the game is scheduled to launch on October 18th in Europe, but Sega announced a delay yesterday that puts the North American version launching a week later than formerly expected on October 29th. Which version of the game will you be picking up? Let us know below!

A delay of 11 days isn’t so bad. The Wii U version will be getting my money.

    • Ernie Sanguyo

      yah it’s really nothing.

  • palomino blue

    Beats 6 months

  • Ony

Already have preordered (europe here) but I’ll have to finish Zelda WW first (and Pokemon X/Y).

  • AAAkabob

    Downloading both, duh!

    • Fred

      Are the games different?

      • AAAkabob

Different levels, so in that sense yea

      • CharmanderRulz

Yes and no. It’s not like Sonic generations or colours where it may as well have been a new game because it played so differently but different groups of ‘Sonic Team’ make each version so somewhat. Think of it like Mario galaxy 1 and 2. It’s more of the same but that’s not always bad as if you like one you will like the other.

        • Fred

Good to know thanks for the info

          • CharmanderRulz

            You’re very welcome! (^-^)

  • David John Gifford

im pre ordering next week as i dont download games before the hardcopy anyday

  • Elitepwnsface

Probably the wii u version during black friday sale with the pick up of the new mario and zelda 3ds.

  • BIG Franky

    already pre-ordered for Wii U. cant wait…

  • Christopher Acuna

Neither one is too huge on space. That is unless you still have a basic model Wii U, just buy a external HD for cheap if that’s the case.

  • letzringj

Just a what if here. What if nintendo released a external powered USB HDD let’s say 500 gb hard drive that nintendo stamped and branded. They could put a game preloaded on it along with some demos or something for like 60$? I would definitely buy one, just to have the piece of mind that comes with having a nintendo seal on it and I think they could rake in the dough with a loaded game too!
    Any thoughts?

    • CEObrainz

It would have to be a game that they know will sell good like the new Mario Kart.

    • Kevin Sepulveda

If it has a game in it plus a harddrive with 500GB space it would be more than 60$. The game would also have to be a good seller

      • Jeffery02

It doesn’t have to be a AAA title. It could have a range of VC games only available through this method at this time. I think it would have to be a download voucher though. It would make things a bit easier to follow, IMO.

        • Kevin Sepulveda

Hmm that may capture some audience. But knowing Nintendo they would never advertise it properly lol.

          • Jeffery02

Never say never! There’s always that 0.1% chance. 😛

  • Joey

I already know the Size of the file and being delayed LOL another site mentioned this before Wii U Daily.

  • 3DS version for me as I lack a WiiU for it.

  • SuperSmashLinkMo

Wow that is too much GB

  • Mario

    I really want both!

  • Jake

We know sega put a lot of work and content. In my opinion sonic lost world will be the best wii u game this year
