Diddy Kong is something of a contentious character among certain Smash circles, with many feeling as though the ape is much overpowered in his moveset, along with his ability to avoid grabs while shielding. It’s exactly that ability that Nintendo is looking to correct with the latest patch.

According to Nintendo’s website, the Super Smash Bros. 1.1.2 patch will address Diddy Kong’s inability to be grabbed after being hit with a multi-hit attack. As always, replay data will be wiped after this update. What’s interesting about this new Diddy Kong bug is that it’s surfaced after the most recent Smash update that brought the Pirate Ship and Super Mario Maker levels.

Obviously Nintendo is working quickly to address the bugs, but Diddy Kong seems to be a thorn in everyone’s side.
