If you’re looking to grab a Wii U bundle this holiday season and you haven’t done so yet, Toys R Us has a pretty attractive deal going on right now. The Skylanders SWAP Force bundle that comes with an 8GB Wii U and a starter pack for Skylanders: SWAP Force and a digital copy of Nintendo Land is marked down to just $250. That’s $50 off the retail price.

The Swap Force bundle is currently the only bundle available that’s on sale at Toys R Us. For fans of the Skylanders series this bundle is a steal. You can read Wii U Daily’s review of the game here.

Thanks Scott!

Darn, I bought it there on Cyber Monday for 260…

  • That is cheap! i should buy this instead of a PS4.

Go for it! PS4 isn’t worth it worth it right now, I’ll get one next year when they realease some games for it and maybe drop the price. But right now Wii U has everything you want including the PS4 & XBO’s best games like AC4, CoD and Watch Dogs. And let’s not forget it has THE BEST exclusives like Mario 3D World (the highest rated next-gen game so far), WW HD, W101, LCU and MH3U. and soon enough DK, X, B2, SMT X Fire Emblem etc. Bargain!!!

      Yes, yes you should!

  • andrewjcole

Pretty good price considering how much Swap Force costs.

  • Ducked

Should be a big sellers for the younger audiences.

Its going for 220 at new egg.

  • Fred

Thanks I may just snag this for a christmas gift!

  • Fred

Sorry Ashley Newegg just 1upped you with $220

  • Nothing5555

I’ve waited to purchase any newer console until the prices came down and 220 from new egg is such a tempting offer. Are there any reason to spend a bit more cash for the deluxe version vs the basic?

    • BIG Franky

honestly…if I didn’t already have a Wii U…. I would totally get this…. not only an awesome deal, but you get 2 games (one of which retails for $75)… plus you get the totally SWEET white version which just looks cooler. plus as far as storage is concerned, screw it… just hook up an external hard drive when you need it…. which wont be immediately any ways.

      • Fred

I just bought one for my Sister’s Family!

        • BIG Franky

          such an awesome gift….

  • Quicksilver88

Unreal… get a WiiU and Nintendoland and a highly rated $75 game for $220 is super…what more do people want……could even add Mario 3D and still be under $300.

  • MujuraNoKamen

A Watch Dogs bundle would be great. If consumers see a triple-A title like that on Wii U for $100 less than a PS4 then couple that with an unrivalled list of exclusives and Wii U will hold its own in 2014. Nintendo needs to show it’s not all for kids.

    • BIG Franky

yeah, but part of the problem is that there is a REAL perception that Nintendo IS for kids….whether its fair or not, perception is reality…. just look at the new Skylanders Swap Force & Disney Infinity…. those two titles are selling more copies on the original wii than all other platforms combined!!! nearly 3 to 1!!! and the Wii U is an extension of the Wii… and parents are probably thinking, why bother getting a Wii U when my kids are happy with their wii?

  • rakihi

I’d buy this bundle but NewEgg won’t let me. When I put in my zip code, I got this:

“The location entered is outside of seller’s service area. We apologize for this inconvenience.”

  • iamserious

Now this is a freaking steal!!

Family starter pack 8GB: Kids: Skylanders Swap Force, Dad: AC3 + Zombie U, Mum: Wii Fit U (installed and including Wii Balance Board)

    • PachterStation

$250 for this Wii U pack, works out at £154 in the UK, yet Wii U packs start at £250 ($407) in the UK. At that price in the US, if the Wii U still isn’t selling, it’s doomed, more so in the UK. Europe in general, the Wii U comes at a high price. Nintendo shooting itself in the foot once again…..

  • PachterStation

Paying up to £300 ($498) in the UK, no way will the Wii U hit big sales, plus new releases are painfully thin. The whole Wii U situation is a shambles. But even if the Wii U had a big range of games, most people won’t part with £300. For the Wii U to hit Wii numbers, you’re looking at £150 for the console on its own. I paid exactly £149 for mine (console only, brand new) and I’ve kept 1 game for it. Next on the list will be Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8. Most other franchises, I don’t bother with (for all consoles). SEGA lost a lot of fans and hit 10 million units with the Dreamcast. I can see the Wii U selling more, but I’m afraid that most of Nintendo’s fan base has done a runner.

I’m not a fan of any particular system but I’m fairly sure the doom and gloom stated by a random guy on the internet will likely turn out to be just that, some random comment. Nintendo has done fine for this long I’m sure they’ll survive even without your market insight.
