How is this an HD trailer? The gameplay was all 16 bit.

    • ZeldaFan83

The game is a 16 bit style game but is displayed in high resolution 720p/1080p. The pixels “bit size” doesn’t matter, that just determines how the graphics of the game may look like how much detail the textures or shading may have. HD refers to the resolution it is being displayed in like 1920×1080 (1080p).

Okay, I didn’t understand that before. Thank you.

    • Magnus Eriksson

Like that is a bad thing? I think it was awesome. Good to see that devs realizes Wii U’s limitations and releases games suitable for the console. So 16-bit is actually perfect. Why do you think Capcom releases Street Fighter II instead of SFIV on Wii U? Its all about what it can handle baby.

      • Assassinated23

I wasn’t implying it was a bad thing necessarily, I was just confused how a game with retro style graphics could be considered high definition. Also, I think you’re underestimating the power of the Wii U. The 16 bit graphics have nothing to do with the limits of the console’s hardware, but is just an aesthetic design choice. The Wii U is a good bit more powerful than the 360 and PS3, so don’t act like it’s limited to SNES style games.

was just a joke from my part

Prepare to taste justice! Shovel Justice!

    • Magnus Eriksson

Dont know why. But this game is really giving me a nostagic feel. Reminds me of a bunch of old classic 16-bits and 8-bits games. A bit of everything that I loved about platformers as a kid.

      • The Clockwork Being

Im sure you are going to buy it right Magnus.

        • Magnus Eriksson

          I guess so, yes.

      • Derk

Old games like this belong in happy meals Magnus. You’ve got to put the past behind you.

        • Magnus Eriksson

If I did I would never become a console owner. I have one to cherish the kid in me you know 😀

        • Marcus Navarro

I hate every single part of this sentence. I just wanna let you know that.

      • Connor Devlin

        Really? You don’t know why?

      • hahahero

I see Duck Tales, Astyanax, and Sonic influences i right off the bat.

  • Fred

is there a release date for this game?

    • Not yet. Still waiting on the developers.

    • Madmagican

Some time before the end of 2013
originally it was thought to be in September-October but I don’t want Yacht Club to rush it

  • BIG Franky

here is to hoping the developer doesnt get too greedy with the pricing of this download.

  • Madmagican

I’m so fucking ready for this game
Also I’m glad to note that the Life bar isn’t a billion hits like it was for the demo 🙂

  • RyuNoHadouken

  • ScrewAttack

All over it. A part of me hopes for a SNES-style sequel! And for some reason it makes me REALLY wanna play rocket knight adventures.

  • Cyberus

Oh I get it, it’s better then real games because it looks worse

    • Luca Invernizzi

It may be better than boring games cause it looks funnier.

Besides, a little nostalgia never killed anyone, don’t be an asshole about it.

  • Michael Hancock

    I just felt that music.

  • Wiiluigi

Can’t wait for this. Feels like forever!!!
