Last year when Shin’en Multimedia announced their Wii U title Fast Racing Neo, fans were excited. A few weeks later it was revealed that the developer has a second Wii U title in development, though we know nothing about it at this point. One intrepid fan took to Twitter to ask the developer when we would hear more about the second title and it turns out it’ll be sooner rather than later.

What do you want to see from the developer?

aahhhh sooo hyped ….. can’t wait to see what it’ll be. minimum 1080P, maybe 4K????? πŸ˜€

    • Brandon

      4k what?

      • TheWichi

        its resolution, 3840 x 2160

        • Brandon

No i know what it is, but he saying it like the wii u is going to have games running native 4k resolution.

          • LightupmyLife

They aren’t. 1080p is the best you’ll get with a Wii U. Xbox One and PS4 are designed to use it(4K) and will be supporting it at a later date.

          • Brandon

Why did someone downvote this do they not want the truth, but anyways I would like to see how 4k looks on the xbox or ps4. I think they will between 30-40fps.

    • LightupmyLife

4K isn’t possible on Wii U. Nintendo doesn’t support it. Lol.

      • Unknown

None of the consoles support 4k gaming.

        • LightupmyLife

Lol. PS4 and Xbox One will be supporting 4k. This is old news.

          • Bryan Lewis

Whether the one and the Ps4 for will support 4k games is debatable.

They will definitely support 4k for videos and pictures and that’s ALL they have confirmed so far.

So don’t say they definitely will bro…

          • LightupmyLife

They are lol. Just not at this time since 4K is basically new. So I don’t expect 4K gaming to happen for a few years at least. So yes, if they have plans for it for games, then it makes it a safe definite. So I guess I can say that. Sorry bro.

          • Guest

PS4 supports 4k pictures and videos, not gaming.

          • LightupmyLife

It is there for the future. So yes, it is ready for gaming when the time comes. I never said when it will. πŸ˜‰

          • extremethunder

PS4 only supports 4k pictures and video, not gaming.

4k textures and 4k display resolution are different. They are just saying that the resolution of the textures are 4k (less blurry textures), not that the game will be displayed in 4k.

PS4 & XBox One are having a hard time with 1080p 60fps (mostly XBox One), so no they are NOT going to be able to run full 4k display-resolution games (unless you want to play at 10fps or less).

          • LightupmyLife

Not yet, as I said. They will when 4k TV’s are in plenty of households. They certainly didn’t put it in there just for video and pictures. Sony and Microsoft are smart to plan ahead and prepare for the future. You’re entitled to believe what you wish, otherwise. I don’t know about Microsoft, but knowing Sony, can bet they have 4k gaming in mind for PS4. Too many years to go for the 8th gen. πŸ˜‰

    • LightofHonor

Fast Racing NEO does use 4K textures.

  • Donaald

Jett Rocket for Wii U hopefully

  • uPadWatcher

    Nano Assault NEO II

  • Sdudyoy

Maybe, just maybe there will be a Nintendo direct? Ehh I’m just being hopeful.

    • mojack411

I’ve been dying for my 2014 ND. If that happens I would be very happy.

    • Shota

indie game announcement in a nintendo direct is unlikely

      • Sdudyoy

I know, I just really want a Nintendo Direct.

        • Shota

          then i totally agree πŸ™‚

      • lonewolf

Its not indie game devveloper any more i think that i read somewhere that officially shinβ€˜en has signed a contract with nintendo to make exclusive games only for nintendo so isn’t it like 2nd party or?

        • Shota

you mean signed a contract to make new wii u game . then yes

a 2nd party nintendo developer , then no

    • Ducked

I Hope So I’d Be So Happy If They Had One Within The Next Week! Maybe See Some More Footage Of Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, And Footage Of Yarn Yoshi!

      -Like My Caps?

      • The Clockwork Being

SMT X FE, X, Hyrule Warriors and a few unannounced titles for Wii U. Even for 3DS

        • lonewolf88

unannounced games is a little steep.

        • Ducked

          New Metroid!

    • Yousif Alromaithi

Hopeful buddy, I really hope we hear about X soon. Man I am so tired about the delay of FF XV man I have been waiting for it a long time since 2006. It is time Nintendo makes the game who won me as the best JRPG of seventh gen of consoles. So I am not waiting another ten years for square to make me the game I want. They all care about graphics and gameplay while I am into story and character development. Man I can’t wait to get my hands on X.

    • DragonSilths

Nope. Iwata killed off Nintendo Directs. No news till E3.
Honestly though who knows when the next Direct will be.

    • Magnus Eriksson

Did they show anything from Fast Neo Racing yet?

      • Sdudyoy

        To my knowledge they haven’t.

  • Skelterz

The thing is right if nintendo don’t put some info out soon they will lose whatever momentum they created over the christmas period there doing it again leaving us hanging all the time i’m losing patience they need a nintendo direct this month and they need to show up at E3 this year full force otherwise they will literally fuck there console up, Yeah the softwares great yeah the system is great but slowly the trust is diminishing.

    • Nintendoplaystation

Well Nintendo needs to do more for sure.

      • Skelterz

Yeah man we’ve all been to forgiving i think there needs to be some sort of direct annoucement that says Zelda u is coming out xxx X is coming out xxxx you know so the people can anticipate and get excited again at the moment its just donkey kong on the 21st and mk8 in may and who knows when ssb yhou know its not good enough i want dates.

        • Nintendoplaystation

          I agree

        • LightupmyLife

Indeed. We want our release dates. That and no big sellers in March or April. That doesn’t help matters much.

    • DragonSilths

Iwata is busy making his plans to fix the company to do a Direct.

      • Skelterz

What were you just with him?

        • DragonSilths

No. Its just common sense. No January Direct, Iwata comes out and says he fucked up, then in the Investor’s meeting he goes on and on about his plans for the future and how to fix things. He has a lot on his plate right now. So I don’t think a Direct is on the list of things to do right now.

          • Skelterz

Well it should be fans money = money for iwata.

          • DragonSilths

lol, thumbs downed, yet nobody actually can disprove what I said. Nintendo fanboys are silly.

  • Brandon

I would like to see gameplay on the fast racing neo just to see it so called 4k-8k textures.

    • LightupmyLife

I bet it’s just buzz words to make their game sound better than it’ll actually look. I doubt 4 or even 8K textures will work on hardware that is only capable of doing 1080p at it’s peak. 4k is a distant dream.

      • Rinslowe

It’s amazing in how people will post this type of reply. No offence, but Shin’en have proven their ability to deliver over and above what people expect. And considering historically what they have achieved given their limited manpower, budgets and game size limits (as in cartridge, Wii Ware etc…). I wouldn’t be so quick to profess to know exactly how and what Shin’en Mulitmedia will deliver in “Fast Racing Neo” and their inclusion of 4 – 8k textures, LOL.
“I’d bet”…. whatever it is it’s going to be, will be rather surprising.

        • LightupmyLife

4k-8k textures I believe is an exaggeration. It’s normal to market your product as much as possible. I don’t buy it. I won’t argue with your last sentence, as that remains unclear on what the surprise will be. 4k though? Lol. I don’t see it, and I’m going to stand by that. We’ll see in due time.

          • Rinslowe

“4k-8k textures I believe is an exaggeration.”

Yeah I got that the first time….

  • Renegadesaiyan

Guys I am thinking of trading in my Wii U for a PS3 just can’t keep waiting for games, now I may not do it if you can give me a good reason not to. Update:Sorry for expecting games to play also its called not buying a PS4 until more games come out for it. WII U is outdated hardware already. .-.

    • If you bought a new console and weren’t prepared to wait for the games that you’d want to play… you had no business buying that new console to begin with.

    • Lusunup

I think its stupid to even think this through…. you bought a new system just came out a year ago, more powrful then both xbox and ps3 and you want to trade it for a ps3 with 6 year old software engine because you’re that impatient. I don’t think you need a reason or any other response.

    • Brandon

I would say get a ps4 or even a xbox one, but if your not for the price then i would rather get an xbox 360.

    • C4

No… in 1 or 2 years you want your Wii U back. Maybe even earlier πŸ˜‰

PS3 isn’t a bad choice though, great library, and if you’re into RPGs there are still new releases like Tales of Zestria-something & Xillia 2, Dark Souls 2 or FF X HD ahead πŸ™‚

    • Superstick98

I have a PS3 and a Wii U so I’ll be happy to give you advice. You should ONLY trade in your Wii U if you really and seriously have games that you want to play on PS3. Ever since I got my Wii U I’ve used PS3 alot less. I’ll just say this. If you trade in your Wii U this early, you will most likely miss out on great exclusives. I don’t know how much money you get in a set amount of time, but if you trade in your Wii U, make sure you can get it back by the time the big exclusives get here (Starting May with MK8) I would honestly recommend just keeping your Wii U but eh.. It all depends on your choice. πŸ™‚

    • Rinslowe

Each to their own…. If the current 2014 lineup confirmed by Nintendo for many months is not enough to persuade you? Then nothing said here in this comment section probably ever will. If anything your comment realistically reads like a load of nonsense tbh. Wii U doesn’t have the titles you want yet many great titles are coming both first and second party with some notable third party titles confirmed also, like; Watchdogs, Project Cars, Fast Racing Neo etc… (But ok fair enough, this is in the realm of opinion) Secondly you claim the PS3 as a better choice (alright, it’s actually hard not to agree with that based purely on PS3’s massive library of available and affordable software titles or it’s competitive price point) But thirdly all credibility is lost as you “assume” Wii U is outdated hardware”, ah say what? You can own a PS3 which is quite simply outdated compared to Wii U or a PS4 which is many times outdated by my PC, or any of the entry level PC enthusiasts out there for that matter.

It’s actually games like WWHD and SM3DW especially, which prove the low importance of clear “dominating” hardware over creativity and art direction for eg…

  • leo

All i want is a nintendo direct

  • Rinslowe

I’m not complaining, personally I think “Shin’en Multimedia” are – the – 4 man team to beat period, anywhere for what they do. And another title announcement is good news for Wii U also. But I would much rather at this point see some actual footage of “Fast Racing Neo” and a look at how they are utilising such large textures in game, how the game plays and does it have online mulitplayer as well?

    • oontz

“does it have online mulitplayer as well”

They haven’t mentioned anything aside from online leaderboards from what I’ve read. Which is kinda sad.

      • Rinslowe

Hmmm… “sad” would be true if not…

Hopefully they end up incorporating online multiplayer as it would exponentially increase “my” interest…

        • oontz

This is the type of game that is begging for online multiplayer.

          • Rinslowe

Indeed! It would kill it. The Wii U needs these types of competitive games to take the competition online. That is where real longevity and reply value is to be had for racers, fighters and fps’ well after the title itself is done…

(At least that’s usually what decides my investment on these types of genres)

          • oontz

Exactly… if it’s only single player… it usually doesn’t get much replay in my machines once I’ve beaten it. Multiplayer adds a ton of replayability.

          • Rinslowe

I think local mulitplayer has it’s thing as well, but yeah like you say – mulitplayer online is where it’s at competitively for certain titles. Genres where you can have more players than what your input allows and more varied play styles to adjust to and learn from than the friends we as serious gamers usually “pummel” into frail timidity all too quicky, lol πŸ˜‰

          • Do you have a 3DS? There’s a pretty nice game on the e shop called AiRace Speed, That’s another racing game begging for multiplayer.

  • husky818yahoocom

they are taking over the star fox franchise and thats the game theyre going to announce a new star fox neo

  • mar laguna

We will se a next nintendo direct until end of Feb or first weeks of March
