Gaijin Games have announced that the Good Friends Character Pack for Runner 2 will be available on Wii U on August 15th in North America. This character pack includes six new characters, three of which are Raz, Dr. Fetus, and Quote. The price for the DLC is only $3, so if you enjoyed BIT.TRIP Presents: Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, then you have a nice piece of DLC waiting for you tomorrow.

Currently there’s no word on when the DLC will be available in the European eShop. Will you be picking this DLC up?

  • Dr Fetus… Well then.

    • We’ve come full circle!

For those of you who don’t know, Commander Video was originally a playable character in Super Meat Boy, where Dr. Fetus is from.

      • Thought I recognized the name… XD

  • Really enjoyed Runner 2, but after clearing the stages and getting all collectibles in a matter of weeks, it’s going to take more than a $3 character pack to get me back into the game. More stages and a new venue would be nice, but I’ll pass on character packs for this game.

I agree. I’m not going to spend $3 dollars on just a character pack. I would rather spend $3 dollars on something more useful, like candy. I’ve also already cleared all of the stages and obtained all of the collectibles that the game has to offer. We need more levels. How about levels based off well known songs? Modern and ones from older generations. I’m sure that we all want to play Runner 2 in sync with some of our favorite songs!

  • Drac

Is this game ever going to come to the Australian eShop? That’d be lovely

  • Brandon Betlej

    New characters? Umm for what?

  • Srpg2ishere

I find it quite awesome that they use “Commander Video” for their twitter. XD

  • Sold! I’ve been waiting for this.

  • ETeach

Glad to see they’re not pulling a Netherrealm on us.

  • Rugmouse

To any of you interested in this game, the eShop is currently offering the title at the discounted price of $11.25 (regular price is $14.99). So if you were to pick up the game and the DLC, you’d be getting BOTH for roughly the price of the standalone game. Not too shabby!

  • I will grab this DLC day one. Love the guys at Gaijin Games and absolutely am obsessed with the Bit.Trip series. Can’t wait to throw money at them again.
