For those of you who are fans of fighting and farming games, you’ll be happy to know that Rune Factory 4 is now available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. The release date wasn’t really advertised and XSEED games kind of sprung it onto the shop, but fans of the series can now get their hands on it.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Rune Factory series, it’s a life simulation game with a story that allows you to take care of a farm similar to Harvest Moon, while also venturing out into the world and raiding dungeons with equipment you find or make. It’s a unique series that has always entertained me when it was on PSP, so I’m happy to see it now available on the Nintendo 3DS.

  • Is there a demo? This sounds like it could be my kinda game…

    • There’s not a demo but there are gameplay videos up on YouTube. Check one of those out if you’re interested.

      • it looks kinda like a cute monster hunter with a more fleshed out farming experience… I’ve got my eye on it!

  • Felix

Ashley seriusly, STOP posting 3Ds things here????? This is WIIUDAILY!!! Come on, if people is here is because of wii u news, not because of 3ds.

if this is now a 3ds site tell me, so i will go find another blog to visit daily.

    • Elitepwnsface

It requires effort to hit that 3ds tab that is normally hidden unless you push it… If you don’t want 3ds news DONT PUSH IT!!! I think its a nice addition to the site.

      • Felix

well if people dont care about 3ds tab why we should pay that? stop flood my rss feed with 3ds news, holy f.

        • pacheco90

..pay that? you pay to enter this site or something?

          • Felix

money is not the only way to pay things. im paying it with time. the time i spend filtering those items on my RSS app.

          • Jon

This is honestly the most pathetic excuse for “paying” I have ever heard. Ok, so by the fact that you are sitting there reading these articles, then taking the time to post them, means the time you are “spending” is worthless anyway because you have nothing better to do. I am willing to bet that you are just one of those people that looks for stuff to complain about.

    • Fred

I have no interest in this particular game, but I am interested in 3DS news so thanks for doing these even if you do do Wii U news more often.

      • Felix

this is wiiudaily.com, if u are interested in 3ds news, go the 3ds site.

        • Landesca

This site has a 3DS section and lo and behold, this was under the 3DS section, if you don’t care about 3DS info, don’t click on the 3DS new section ya moron.

          • Fred

If he gets the news from this site the same way I do, via RSS feed, it doesn’t descriminate Wii U vs 3DS I get them all. However if you’re not interested in an article when you see the RSS link don’t go there and read it.

    • Pikachief

There’s hardly any 3DS news on here compared to other sites. Also, majority rules on there being 3DS news here, so if it really bugs you that much, you may pack your bags so to speak because it seems to be here to stay.

If anything, more people want more 3DS news here. Most Wii U owners are also 3DS owners too.

    • Jon

this section was made so the 3DS news (usually) would go in the main feed. The only time i question content posted Wii u vs 3DS is when the 3DS stuff is posted in the Wii U section or vice versa. but this is the 3DS section of this site and most people who own a Wii U I am pretty sure own a 3DS ( I personally own 2) so it saves them from needing to go to multiple sites to get their Nintendo news. it also baffles me that just because this site has 3DS news, you are willing to leave completely and get news else where but… the news is already here so you’d just be making more work for yourself.

  • Madmagican

Well I’m not a big fan of the Rune Factory games but it’s nice to see the 3DS library continue to expand I guess

  • YogiGRB

loved the first couple of them, maybe picking this one up

  • Caitlin♂

Time to start saving money again.

  • Jon

I’ve never actually tried the hand helds of rune factory, just the consoles… I might take a look at this.
