Developer Vector Unit are bringing their racing game Riptide GP Renegade to the Switch. And it will have a cool feature: cross-play.

They didn’t reveal a release date or any Switch footage, but did confirm that the game is coming to the Switch eShop and that it will have a “cross-play” surprise.

Cross-play lets players on different platforms play together. Rocket League will support cross-play on the Switch, where you’ll be able to play against others who are on the Xbox One or PC.

Riptide GP Renegade is a jetski racing game, much like Nintendo’s own Wave Race. Although Riptide features a whole variety of advanced racers. It was released last year on PC and other platforms, where it was well-received by fans and critics.

This isn’t the first game that Vector Unit is bringing to the Switch, nor is it the first racing game: later this week they’ll be releasing Beach Buggy Racing on the Switch eShop.
