In a recent interview with Bloomberg TV, Nintendo of America’s Reggie Films-Aime talked about Super Mario Run and its pricing strategy, but he also touched on a gaming trend that’s been booming lately: Virtual Reality.

Reggie agreed that the market isn’t ready yet for VR — 2016 was supposed to be the year VR went mainstream and it hasn’t quite done that. Here’s what Reggie had to say about VR.

“In the end, and we’ve learned this through our own business, in the end, [it’s about] providing consumers with an experience that brings a particular form of technology to life, and I don’t think we’ve seen that with VR.”

He did add that he “certainly believes that there is long term potential” in VR, but said that to date , the technology hasn’t delivered.

You can check out the full interview below, where Reggie talks about Super Mario Run, Pokemon Go, and VR.
