[Edit: Looks like the deal is dead folks, they’re all out!]

“Shut up and take my money!” —Is what I would say to if I saw this deal and didn’t already have a Wii U of my own. Head on over to the Best Buy-owned website (who knew?) to score a refurbished Wii U 32GB for only $197! The console is listed for $207.99, but if you use the promo code “MERRY5” you’ll get 5% off. Free shipping is also included!

DISCLAIMER: There is definitely some notable fine print to this offer, listed below, though its nice to see that CowBoom is up front about what they’re selling. From the listing:

  • Fully functional
  • May show limited signs of use
  • May be missing parts of accessories
  • May have dents or scratches

We advise you hit the link for the deal and click on “choose best available” to see exactly what you’ll be getting. Even for some of the pricier options (i.e. those that include the most) you’re still getting a great deal. Of course, you’ll still get 5% off any option using the promo code.

It’s never too late to jump in, especially when the software library is heating up! Who’s buying?

Hot buttered popcorn that’s a deal!

Also, one thing I never understood about these commercials… Why are they trying to talk parents into buying a Wii U when they clearly already have one? XD

    • Laud

Hey you guys listened to my suggestion. 😛

I would buy it if I didn’t have one already lol

      • Sam Wagner

        Of course we listened 🙂

      • We’re good listeners 😀

      • Project M… Eh… I’ll just wait for next bros. :3

    • cThreep

Sure they have ONE, but I see FOUR chillins there.

    • TheAlCaPwner

They could be at a friends house?

    • Rinslowe

They’re all androids. And they showing the real people what it could be like owning a Wii U for REAL…

      • No android can even attempt to pull off the emotions required to say “Hot buttered popcorn that’s a deal!” like mini Mike Meyers over there.

I absolutely love all those kids XD

    • Mason742

it looks fun watching one person play the game with one controller.

  • RyuNoHadouken

that should be regular price for a brand new unit…great deal though…i hope people take advantage of it

    • Nintendoplaystation

Seriously no. Believe it or not the wii u is still more powerfull than ps360 and has an expensive controller. The price is fine.

      • RyuNoHadouken

barely…the tech is still 5 years old…i can buy a radeon HD 4000 series card for $50…not impressive at all.

        • Fred

If you’re not happy with the price tag don’t buy it. I, however was happy with the price tag when it was $350 so I’d be a little happier at $300 (With 2 games either Mario & Luigi or Skylanders & Nintendo Land) That’s $50 cheaper and 1 more game than I got I’d call it a great deal!

          • RyuNoHadouken

          • Matt Elgie

5000 series Ryu. Come on now!

          • RyuNoHadouken
          • Matt Elgie

Do you want to play the link game? Happy? Well I am not done, we did this over in the other post ryu. Its not about the power, its about the games.

          • RyuNoHadouken

im gonna go with the experts at toms hardware over columnists on this site anyday

          • Hot buttered po-

            oh, nevermind >.>

  • Kamon

:O Maybe I should jump on this.

  • Kamon

Every time I click on the Wii U it takes me to a PS3 slim..? :

    • Fred

      me too

    • rp17

One link is a PS3… and the other is a Wii and a router…?

  • Doctors Tardis

Beware! Cowboom is partnered with Best Buy, but it has AWFUL horrid customer service.

  • Sam

Nope. Refurbished things tend to break.

I’m getting the ‘bros. bundle, along with Madden 13.

P.S. WiiU Daily, if you want to write about this, Walmart’s selling Madden 13 for $12.96:

    • Fred

Thanks for clueing us in man

      • Sam

No problem. Always happy to find people deals. 🙂

  • CEObrainz

This seems kinda risky, there’s the off change that the accessory you want isn’t there in the first place and dents? No thanks. However if you do get one at that price with everything included then good on you.

    • Pikachief

So there’s a dent in the disc tray and it doesn’t come with the gamepad, but IT WORKS. And thats what matters.

      • rp17

WHAT A DEAL!!!! Still better than an EA deal

        • CEObrainz

EA deal? You mean contract with a money sucking corporation right?

          • Guest

            EA = Egocentric Assholes

          • CEObrainz

That’s another way of putting it….

          • rp17

            Best Deal EA can offer…

          • CEObrainz

Looks nothing like a good deal to me, but I dislike micro-transactions anyway.

      • CEObrainz

Don’t you need the gamepad for pretty much everything? Or are you talking about the Pro Controller? If the dent doesn’t cause too much problems then all is good I guess, you could probably send it in for repairs if anything major happens and you would still pay less than the retail price perhaps…

  • Jack5221

My friend bought a brand new Wii U at Walmart for 200$. 32g, no games included, but it included a Pro Controller.

  • Random12multi

I bought the wiiu at launch.. now im seeing consle discounts ._.
