Yesterday we got some new screenshots of Rayman Legends for the Wii U, and today Ubisoft spoils us with a 3 minute gameplay video. The new Rayman Legends gameplay video showcases some of the many levels in the game, its characters and environments, and of course, the beautiful visuals we’ve come to know. Rayman Legends will be released early next year, exclusively on the Wii U.

    Looks nice!

    • Asiancake

mario way better than the rayman series

      • NintendoYOU

So sick of people comparing everything to mario

      • LazerK

Go play Rayman 3 then we’ll talk

        • Dan7el(WiiU day one purchase)

          Rayman 3 is fun.

      • lakersfan

I like Mario but I will be sorely disappointed if there is not more innovation with the gamepad than just building platforms. Rayman Legends has TONS of new uses for the gamepad. You can practically redesign the level playing as the “leader”.

  • Cbreid

    can’t wait!!!

  • Mac

nice cant wait to get my hands on this game

    • Keath

I played it today at a gamestop and it was so much fun!!! i thought it looked stupid at first but oh man i was so wrong. never judge a game without playing it

  • SteampunkJedi (3DS FC: 5284-2360-9145)

This looks very fun. I totally want this game now. 😀

  • jman4102

the sound affects are really fun to listen too

  • 30yearsofnintendogaming

the outside of a wii u box is blue, not white?

    • JumpMan

yup, did you not get the memo?

      • NintendoMan :D

I think Nintendo wants the cases to look like Blu-Ray cases.

        • Madmagican

Actually I’m pretty sure it’s to avoid confusion in the general public you know, kinda like how Wii game boxes are white, xbox green, etc. Nintendo wants to makes sure Wii U develops an identity for itself very quickly

  • Smokey cheese

As my old nan used to say”Wicker da wicker de wack.” Which Ithink ment jolly good.

  • Smokey cheese

Ubisoft are like the new Rare…except they make more than one game every 3 years

    • Mac

nintendo needs to buy them back from microsoft. their talent is being wasted on kinectimals and all that other stuff they have going on there. its a shame really

      • Smokey cheese

I think the people that made the great Rare games left during The making the Starfox game on the GameCube .Thats why Rare don’t have the credibility they once had.Shame really. Ubisoft are a great company. Just waiting for Beyond Good and Evil 2.. and XIV!Hopefully on the Wii U

        • Vigo the Carpathian

XIV needs to happen! No game series should ever end on that big a cliffhanger!

Freedom Fighters needs a sequel too!

  • Solboogie

Looks like a Pixar interactive movie. I love the hand painted backgrounds and art style. On all the videos shown of this game the graphics look sick! This might be a console seller and must have game for the WiiU.

  • Tobbe

Will try this lovely game and a few other U games at Gamex in Stockholm next sunday. Will be lovely to feel the gamepad in my hands. A few of my friends that have tried Wii U Just love the gamepad. Light, naturell and just brilliant.

    • Tobbe

1 thumb down. Lol either ur drunk or Norwegian

      • ZeroCool

Your probably getting thumbs down because of that picture.

        • Tobbe

Haha well people have strange problems. I dont even know why that old picture comes up when i add my email* its a very old pic that i used as a avatar on xbox

i played this , this game is amazing, but also the wii u is soooooo great its like a super snes , not spec wise, but that feeling you get when you really wanna play something by nintendo 🙂

  • TheUNation

Now THIS is how U will play next! Rayman Legends is gonna be the best Wii U title in 2013. I cannot wait…

  • Shane

Looks like NSMBU, except with Rayman and friends. I love the graphics, but it doesn’t look like there’s much to do in the world. They’re just running through open space, flying and wimming sometimes. I hope whoever buys this likes it, but I don’t like the way the game appears to play. I’ll read a review first, but my guess is it will get a 5-6/10 review.

    • lakersfan

      How ’bout a 9.5?

  • Nintendo Power (Wii U FTW)

Why can’t it be next year…..Oh well, at least I can enjoy some ZombiU or New Super Mario Bros U.

I honestly never got into these games before. I played one and was like ok its cool but I didn’t own the console. That being said the more I see of this game the more I am really liking it. I think it has some creative concepts and it has changed my mind of buying this game instead of just a rent.

  • Wii U

turns out wii u is more capable of supporting high end games such as rayman and need for speed ^_^ take that sony. “I think wii u is a great console. but can it be up to par with other consoles?” well stick that up your nose… because its better ‘

  • Nintendofan

I tried the WIIu this morning, I have to say I was VERY impressed.

I tried wonderful 101, absolutely amazing controls and graphics.
I tried nsmbu, absolutely beautiful level design (And these were only 3 of the many levels in nsmbu).
I tried nintendoland, the luigi mansion mini game, very very fun. The ninja type game, very fun aswell and donkey kong mini game which was a blast.

All in all, I can’t wait for the wiiu!

  • uhm

haven’t tried rayman origins. wondering if i should before i pick legends up?

  • kidnintend

just got back from playing rayman legends at gamestop. I must say this game is gorgeous. The controller feels right and i been mainly playin final 7 on my ps3 and this controller feels much better then the dual shock. I dont kno how to explain it but this might be the best controller i ever held and played games with in my opinion. I dont kno how nintendo does it, but they just always seem to kno what is best. It really is unbeliveable how good this controller is and how responsive it is. So instead of trying to understand i will chalk it up to nintendo magic. Didnt want to leave. Cant wait to get my own on the 18th.

    • lakersfan

I tried it as well this morning at Bestbuy and I TOTALLY get what you are saying about the controller. When I first picked it up I was like, how are you supposed to hold on to this thing? I quickly realized that you don’t need to try to hold onto and grip the controller. The thing is so well designed that your hands simply act as a stand for the beautiful controller to rest. I applaud you Nintendo!

  • AndroidSnivy

This game was pretty fun when I first tried it out at GameStop. I loved playing on the Gamepad more than the Wiimote and Nunchuck. The Gamepad was surprisingly comfortable!

  • James

Got my hands on the Wii u for the first time today at my local Best Buy. This is the only game you can actually play from the Wii U home window, though you can view the details, screenshots, ect of a good amount of the launch titles like Batman, Zombie U, Mario, and more. Anyhow, I played the Rayman Legends demo and was instantly impressed. The graphics were beautiful, and I loved the gameplay. It was very unique using both the touchscreen and the actual tv. The gamepad felt comfortable and was lighter than I thought it would be. Makes me glad I pre-ordered one, and I will likely be adding Rayman to the list of titles to pick up.

  • Takarashi282

I played the demo at the demo station down at Gamestop. The demo was so much fun!!! Oh, yeah, and to Northern Utah residents, the Clinton Gamestop has a Wii U demo station! Try it now! Make sure to bring a friend or a relative though, the demo is multiplayer.
