As promised by Ubisoft, the Rayman Legends Challenges bonus will be available for free on the Wii u eShop this Thursday. The bonus challenge is the peace-offering made to fans after the huge uproar when Ubisoft announced the game would cease being a Wii U exclusive and would be delayed because of it.

Rayman Legends will be available in September alongside its new PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. The challenge mode features four levels that will be available for 1-5 players, featuring daily and weekly challenges until the game’s release. Records are available on a leaderboard and you’ll be able to race your friends’ ghosts to determine who is the best.

Let us know if you’ll be downloading the new challenge mode when it becomes available in the comments below.

Nice. Ubisoft actually managed to redeem themselves. We all had our pitch forks out on miiverse and everything XD

    • CharmanderRulz

Yes and it’s nice to know people are listening on Miiverse. Before Miiverse complaints got the Wii U more memory but now we got a Luigi’s community, 60HZ virtual console games (Kirby was made at 50HZ), EarthBound and the chance to talk to the game makers such as the people that over worked them selfs to make Toki Tori 2. (maybe more)

dont forget about capcom adding voice chat, cross region play, and off tv play.

so is that why when i play kirby it gets really laggy when there was 5 or more objects on the screen?

        • CharmanderRulz

The NES was being pushed to the limit by the transparency effects needed to fake having all the colours used and you can see the rendering boxes on the sides working their asses off so much that it was never taking full use of 60HZ. It would appear Nintendo wanted to give us the same experience as the original games instead of an artificial performance boost. At any rate it may be an easy game but it’s sure is fun mowing down everything that gets in your way!

      • Nintedward

Miiverse is absolutely INCREDIBLE. No exagerating , it’s litteraly the best thing to happen to gaming in a long long time. People can actually communicate with the developers and that is evident by Earthbound being brought to west and EU VC games being released in 60HZ …

Yes a place where we can say godbye to the trolls

          • Nintedward

So nice to have a community with no trolls (Except for people begging for votes or just spamming silly stuff , but even they are fine..) It’s like a big drawing competition 😛

        • mikel334u2

lol i wish Nintendo would also check out this site too; some comments and articles have great suggestions

  • Fred

  • TheGuyWhoLies

Hey guys, can everyone do me a favour 😛 either like it … or subscribe ? 😀

    Thank you 😛

    • Come on, don’t be that guy…

      • TheGuyWhoLies

everyone’s at least allowed to beg once, and this is my one time 😛 give it a try, maybe you’ll like it… hehe

        • If you truly believe that, then you squandered your one chance. This only leads to backlash and getting flagged as spam.

Don’t beg for success, earn it.

  • There is only so much you can do with 4 levels. I’ll try it, but I don’t see myself playing it daily or weekly until the full release.

  • Johny

sure i’ll be downloading… we cant really stay mad at Ubi after all the support they’re showing.
    support ubisoft guys 🙂

  • Derty

I will b downloading these for sure :). Not only r they free and hav some sort of online leaderboard, but it’s also my daughters favorite game :D. I also think the game is simply beautiful to look at let alone the music is very nice and orchestrated 🙂

  • Steven Penberthy

Oh wait…. , last minute delay, now not coming until all other consoles have the bonus challengers in September, can’t wait to get rayman legends from an 2nd hand bin.
Oh wait… ,delayed again now not coming out until the ps4 and Xbox 720 ports in 2014.
    Oh wait ….

  • Cerus98

I really don’t buy the whole “They’ve supported the Wii U with other games so I’ll forgive them for this.” Supporting the Wii U is what they SHOULD be doing….period. That argument is like saying “Well my proctologist always kept me cancer free so I’ll forgive him for using his dick when he checked my prostate last time.” Or “It’s OK that my husband beats the shit out of me because he’s great with the kids.”

Someone doing something they should be doing is not a free ticket to fuck you over whenever they please. I’m sure I’ll be down voted and criticized for this post and that’s fine. I’m just not the kind of person who walks away from a car dealer who didn’t budge on the price and be OK with it because he gave me a free air freshener and smiled a lot. A shitty, cheap handout is still a handout and a cheap bribe for that matter.

    • CharmanderRulz

Your point is valid to the people in the suits shouting “MULTIPLATS” calling the shots but keep in mind the devs that poured their soul into this are not the same people. they when on record saying roughly “we had put in time away from our family’s busting our ass to make the release date to only get a delay” (the real quote sounded better but I’m doing this from memory) so I wouldn’t hate the devs for it.

  • uPadWatcher

Free until the official game’s release…? I’m game.

    • Levi Johansen

      Only a few stages though!

  • Dominic Coradazzi

Now we just have to wait until September
…at least we’re getting a taste of it

  • brian murphy

hopefully its unlimited free play and not subject to 30 tries
