With the release of Rayman Legends on September 3rd, it seems Ubisoft is pulling support for the Rayman Legends Challenge App that has been an exclusive to Wii U owners since April. When you start the app you’ll see the screen above. If you’d like to continue playing the challenges that the app offered, you can buy the full game from the eShop with just a few clicks.

It’s a pretty understandable move on Ubisoft’s part, as they want people to play the actual game instead of the demo that’s been available for nearly six months.

Will you be getting Rayman Legends? Let us know in the comments below.

Was hoping it would continue for some time.

I’ve not got the money for any more games, and future money is allready reserved for Pikmin 3, Blacklist, Super Mario 3D World and Wind Waker HD.

It won’t be until winter… and then there is also Watch Dogs…

My wallet just started crying, but my inner child rejoiced!

  • SonicLucario

Im kinda surprised that Ubisoft pulled the plug on the app this fast but then again I really do understand why they want people to play the actual game now.

    • Fred

You can still play the original demo (3 levels) it’s just the challenges app they killed

      • Linskarmo

I see. That’s a relief, as I haven’t played it much and would like to see whether I want to buy the game.

      • Squid

The three levels are very early in the game, I found a lot more favorite levels playing through the game.

        • Fred

That’s awesome to hear. I bought the game, but I’ve been so busy at work that I’ve only played the first 5 levels, but my kids LOVE playing this game with me so I’m excited

          • Squid

Makes sense that they would like it, the game has lots of charm and fun gameplay everyone could understand. Hope you all have fun. 🙂

  • BIG Franky

    already have it! 😀
Packed away for Christmas though…. 🙁

  • Andreas Sunde

Would have been nice to keep it for a couple of weeks, but we’ve had it for six months already. I think they deserve our money now.

  • wober2

Did anyone else get tired of the challenges after the first month? I have not played in a while….

    • PS4/WiiU

No, I loved it for the first two months and It was extremely fun, but then I stopped not because it was boring but because I had other games that were better

    • Jump’nShootMan

There were definitely a few challenges that I would skip or just not try hard on. Not necessarily cuz they were boring, but because I didn’t feel like sinking a ton of time into those. Most of the distance challenges were worth it though. And fortunately the game imports your Hero unlocks and lets you keep a lot of lums, so it was worth it in the end!

    • Squid

If Pikmin or Lego City Undercover haven’t come out I would’ve still been playing, but they did and I love those games.

  • AsterDW

Didn’t bother me at all that they pulled the challenges. Ubisoft gave us months of free entertainment with the daily challenges which became part of my daily routine, spending an hour or so at the end of each day doing all the challenges. I decided I should pay for those hours now that the game is out, and I am not disappointed. The final product is very nice so far.

    I know, that was sad… 🙁

  • Fred

I already downloaded it in the eShop GREAT GAME!!!

  • Louie

I may pick Rayman Legends up in the future, but unfortunately my money is soon to tied up with other games.
Don’t let anyone tell you any different Wii U has a great lineup coming out before Christmas that includes splinter cell blacklist, wind waker HD, Mario 3d World, Watchdogs, AC 4 Black Flag, Sonic Lost World, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
And in he new year we get Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, and Monolith soft’s X

    • audi lover

GTA 5? Not to sure about that one but the rest are solid titles

      • Louie

        oh s***
I didn’t mean that was coming to Wii U i just meant it was something to look forward to, I shall edit my comment and try not to look to much of a fool in future.
Thank you for correcting me good sir!

        • audi lover

no worries its the only game i will by on my xbox this year or i might just wait for ps4 version

          • Squid

Haha, it would be nice for a Wii U version but is one still possible? I never played one. I liked Lego City Undercover’s open world.

  • Having the challenges app in the game is really nice. It’s fun to have it to fall back on when the story starts getting tough!

  • Vextrum

Although it was fun, I never used it on a set basis, so this didn’t mean much to me.

  • Jake

    Already have it

  • Fred

Some guy on MiiVerse showed me this store in New Hampshire selling Rayman for $45

    • Reptarju

Bullmoose and friendly toast used to be part of my sunday routine before I moved to maryland. Still carry the card in my wallet:'(

      Indubitably delicious

  • Mario

Should of know that this wasn’t going to last forever.

  • Squid

It’s a great game I’m sorta glad that I picked it over wonderful 101 (saving money for Wind Waker and Pokemon X) not that I won’t get it eventually. And I love the Funky Rayman suit we got for playing the app by the way.

  • Aamir Islam

It was their little gift to us 🙂

  • I hope I can get the game this Saturday. 🙂

I have very little money though (only enough to buy two full retail price games), and I’m trying to save for some future games, so let’s see what happens.

Sorry if I have English mistakes. 😛
