This is actually interesting. I’m usually not into racing games but this has peeked my interest.

    • Noteak

Yeah, but i thought this was a nintendo only game, oh well it will still be awesome.

    • Logan Waltz

    • val berger

indeed. although it would be nice to see WiiU footage one day. The visuals are looking damn good but I don’t really expect them to be like that on the WiiU.

    • Phoenix Maybe

I’m also not that big of a racing fan but this game seems really good.
How to get money with video games(the Project CARS way)
      1) show off graphics that doesn’t come out to consoles in over a year
      2) open preorders
I know preorders haven’t come out yet for this game but I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to buy this game.

  • RoyRelapse

Finally, some good news for the WiiU, getting sick of all these Ubi and EA articles…

    • DragonSilths

You people are finally having your eyes opened to Ubifail I see. I have been seeing through the fake smile they hide behind since the Wii U launch. People thought I was crazy and didnt now what I was talking about. But Ubifail was as good as it appeared.

      • RoyRelapse

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still getting Watch_Dogs and Splinter Cell, I’m just tired of negative WiiU articles …. and I understand why Ubisoft is doing what its doing at this moment from a business standpoint. At least they give a good statement about the lack of sales instead of the statement from EA that the hardware is limiting them and less powerfull than curent-gen.

        • Magnus Eriksson

Its actually understandable that nobody wants to develope for Wii U at this point. Nintendo have some work to do first and step up sales a bit. Get titles out, start the production of a highlevel grapics game like Metroid, Zelda, F-Zero or Starfox. Release teasers. Cut price on console by a 50$. Make VC library bigger and cheaper, involve N64 and GCN. Rethink region lock. That way people will think the console is a good deal and buy it. Listen to fanboys who thinks everyone else did wrong will destroy the console.

edit: downvote this if you hate Nintendo and wants it to fail, or if you are a fanboy.

          • RoyRelapse

They are busy with cool games and the graphics are looking great in my opinion, if I want a superior version I will play multiplats on my high-end PC. But Nintendo said that they underestimated the jump to HD when it comes to resources, lets hope they will fix this problem this year.

          • fireheartis1

Finally someone who doesn’t think Nintendo should loose a lot of money by cutting the price down by $100.00. Yes that’s actually a great idea Magnus, but let me add to it. Nintendo should get rid of the 8GB system all together, and then give a better free game than Nintendo Land, or bundle Nintendo Land and another game like NSMBU. The $50.00 less would make the console way more appealing to the general consumer. The Wii U 32GB at $300.00 is a great idea, and turn the white 8GB into a white 32GB. People who think the Wii U should be $250.00 are just stupid. Nintendo is already taking a lose on each system, but by cutting a measly $50.00 I don’t think it’s going to cut into profit as bad. Great idea for once Magnus I’m proud of you.

      • RoyRelapse

Don’t worry Waluigi, you will get your own game one day!

  • I love racing games so this is going on my wish list and I will have to keep an eye out for the pre-order.

  • andrewjcole

    :O Graphics!

    • RoyRelapse

It looks gorgeous, though I am concerned about how they are dealing with the WiiU hardware, they said it would run in 720p 30fps…
And the fact that the WiiU controllers do not have analog triggers, makes a racing simulator not that “simulator-ish”

Edit: I’m sorry, i should be aware that i can’t take a negative note on the WiiU, ughh grow up…thanks for the downvotes !<3

      • Nintedward

The default controlls of GT5 are actually to use the right analog stick as the accelerator because it has more precision than the triggers on PS3. I’m not sticking up for the lack of analog triggers , I’m just saying that if they include this scheme in Wiiu Project cars , then that will go some way to solving that issue.

It works a treat in GT5. You use the shoulder buttons to look left or right and both to look backwards…

My ideal scheme for Project cars Wiiu would be :

Left analog steering , Right analog accelerator/reverse . ZL gear down , ZR gear up , L look left , R look right , Both shoulders look back , A brake , B Hand brake . Something like that 😉

        • TULFich

I actually like the Idea, but I preffer accel with left stick (cuz that way (I can get over to the brake buttons with the right one), and pure gyro-steering, It is more driving feel, or why not making something with the balance board as pedals 😀

          • Nintedward

Yeah , they could work. The Wiiu has amazingly accurate motion controlls. It would work beautifully as a Wheel.

      • Petri

Anal triggers or not, I don’t want to play realistic driving/racing games with gamepad controllers.

Though I dont understand why they wouldn’t do analog triggers again, gamecube had that, so why not Wii U?

        • Andreas Sunde

Are there any racing wheels/pedals compatible with the U yet?

        • Michael Ocampo

no analog triggers cause of the lawsuit against sony 🙁 (maybe sony, idk for sure)

          • 和夫

Wait, so what law suit? I mean Microsoft has analog triggers as well. I hope Nintendo may release a new controller or something with analog triggers in the future.

          • Michael Ocampo

Cyanideinsanity pretty much dug it up for me ↑

          • John Raybell

? what the hell are you talking about??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

          • Michael Ocampo

I was telling petri why Nintendo maybe didn’t put analog triggers in the wii u gamepad

          • CyanideInsanity

From what could find in this tired state, nintendo and M$ were sued by apparent patent trolls who only wish to sue instead of using patents to make products. They may have tried for sony too, but I’m too tired to continue looking.

          • Michael Ocampo

            Thanks bro for the help

        • The Clockwork Being

Id say out of all the controllers that I have used with triggers(Xbox360,PS) the gamecube had the best analog triggers

        • Ace J

          ….uh……anal triggers………………………….???

      • DragonSilths

No they said it would be 720p so it can maintain a higher fps. I think it was 45-60fps. Deffinitly not 30fps.

        • RoyRelapse

Nope, 720hd 30fps, Rich from ReviewtechUSA had an article on it a few months ago…

Edit: here is my source http://www.nowgamer.com/news/1853385/project_cars_wii_u_runs_at_720p_30fps_will_look_feel_amazing.html
Ah yes, welcome to WiiUdaily, where te person with a source gets downvoted because it didn’t go like they were dreaming !

          • DragonSilths

That was a few months ago. Via Twitter he stated 45fps like 3 weeks ago.

          • RoyRelapse

Sure thing, can you provide me with some factual proof then ? the only thing i can find is 720p 30fps…

Edit: by the way, who is “he” ? I’m talking about Slightly mad studios themself, not a specific spokesman.

          • RoyRelapse

            Got anything yet ?

          • DragonSilths

Sorry I don’t normally check back for replies. However I don’t do the whole “Proof or GTFO” internet crap. It aint my job to hold peoples hands and babysit people. You really want me to search through weeks of the dudes Twitter? I don’t have the free time for that. Maybe you do.

          • RoyRelapse

Lol, right so you claim to know something and you dont want to proof it, if somebody would have said it was running in 720p and 45 fps it would be on the internet, and I didnt find anything when I took a few minutes, stop BS’ing

          • DragonSilths

Get the game, and find out for yourself. You will see.

        • RoyRelapse

I hope you’re right though, lol

      • ICHI

I’m imagining they would allow for right stick analogue acceleration like gran turismo used to?

      • Richard Yates

Use the thumbstick on the right? I’ve done that with gt series for years…no biggie.

        • RoyRelapse

Well, they could make it optional right ? I never tried it, but I would look forward to try it

  • Petri

I just wish Nintendo comes up with a good racing wheel solution.
    Otherwise might skip this game.

  • Srpg2ishere

    Pagani Huayra. <3

    • Nintedward

      Nissan GTR (latest models) <3

    • Super Buu

      • MetroidZero

      • Starfoxguy

  • Nintedward

The first true Racing sim ever on a Nintendo platform. Pretty significant if I do say so my self!!! Day 1 purchase.

    • theTomekEffect

      World Driver Championship – N64

  • uPadWatcher

The most anticipated racing sim for the Wii U in 2014. No way in hell that I’ll refuse that offer. Project CARS is one of the most wanted Wii U games that I’ll be buying.

    • DragonSilths

Oh…didnt notice it got delayed. It was supposed to come out around the time of the USA Thanksgiving. November I believe.

  • boynhisblobs

Looks amazing, day one buy for me.

  • Jack5221

Im not too into racing games, but I decided to give the PC alpha a try and I really enjoyed it. It was a little buggy, but then again its not the final product. Cant wait to try a Wii U version, Im curious as to how the gamepad will come into play.

  • ?????

well i will buy project cars for the Wii u looks like a great Racing game

  • Peter Rogers

wud have bought it, but just pre ordered my ps4 with driveclub..ahhh well.

    • Rick van der Linde

You’re not going to get PS+? You’ll get Driveclub for free with that…

  • DragonSilths

Awe, poor Xbox One and PS4 dont get it lol. Wii U is the only 8th Gen console to get it. Also it still looks absolutely gorgeous. Better then Forza 5 or 6? I forget lol.

    • Mario

PS4 and Xbox One aren’t getting many games like Monolith soft’s X and Bayonneta 2 as well.

      • DragonSilths

Yah but those are exclusives…Project Cars is a Multiplat.

        • Mario

          Where did you heard that?

          • greengecko007

Project cars is a multiplatform game coming to Wii U, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

          • DragonSilths

Hear what? That Project Cars is a Multiplat? Did you watch the trailer? At the end it says Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, Steam, Oculus.

          • Mario

Sorry! Didn’t notice that at first! But now I know now.

  • nin-10-doughfan

    is the video in CGI!

    • John Raybell

  • nin-10-doughfan

    it looks sweeeeeeeet!

  • JamesJose

  • NkoSekirei

the graphics of this game looks sick cant wait to play it

  • Madmagican

Well there ya go, Nintendo officially has every single genre on their platforms

    • John Raybell

um what, racing as already been on the wiiu, so yeah

      • Madmagican

        I meant driving simulation
It’s a more specific part in the racing genre (We already had Mariokart and F-Zero)

  • Joyous Killer

    I still Prefer Mario Kart…

    • John Raybell

who fucking cares, then get that, what is it with people like you, lol

      • Joyous Killer

Just sayin, no h8 pls. What is wrong with people like you, LOL

    • Starfoxguy

You can’t compare Mario Kart to this. Project C.A.R.S.is simulation racing. Mario Kart is kart racing.

  • Adam Fox

Gran what? Gran Turismo?? What’s that?…..Project C.A.R.S will make Gran Turismo look like a Beta PROJECT 😉

  • MetroidZero

That is all I can say. :O

  • Mark Thom

  • Yoshi5081

I wish EA and Ubi could watch this trailer so they will change their mind.

  • Yoshi5081

Wow ppl are like “Why the Wii U is getting this” -.- If the wii u have not graphics, they complain about it, and if it has graphics, they complain too. Sorry English is not my native language.

  • Akatosh

Wow! This game still exists for the Wii U! I haven’t heard anything about this since before the Wii U launched.

    Looks amazing!

  • Xavier Lopez Chabelo

For an independent studio this looks amazing, damn!!

  • Akatosh

I see a triforce on one of those cars!

That means to me… they can’t back out of a Wii U release.

  • Linskarmo

It’s beautiful eyecandy, that’s for sure.

  • Starfoxguy

This game puts other simulation racing games to shame.
