There were some rumors that PayDay 2 on the Switch would not be the most recent version of the game. And now developer Starbreeze has confirmed just that.

PayDay 2 on the Nintendo Switch lacks some of the features introduced by the most recent updates to the game, such as the option to speed up the end of heists and the lack of certain weapons and gadgets.

The Switch version of the game is based on a mid-2017 update called “Most Wanted”, here’s what the developer has to say about that:

“Payday 2 is releasing on Switch with content up to and including the ‘Most Wanted’ update, which is equivalent to the content released through mid-2017 on PC. PS4 and Xbox One received one additional update after that, the ‘Master Plan’ update, which released near the end of 2017. Switch is one update behind other consoles, which are slightly behind PC.”

Knowing this, would you still consider buying PayDay 2 on the Switch? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
