The Nintendo Switch has not yet been released, but the company has announced that already over 50 companies are working on a combined 80+ games for the Nintendo Switch. This was confirmed at their January 12th event that streamed live on YouTube.

This is of massive importance. Owners of Nintendo’s previous console – the Nintendo Wii U – would be disappointed to admit that one of the console’s fatal flaws was poor developer support. There simply weren’t a lot of exciting games being released and ones that were promised failed to reach the platform.

This looks to turn around with the Nintendo Switch as already a large number developers seem to have games in production. The flexibility of the platform will make it accessible and exciting for a wide range of gamers. This could be Nintendo’s big turn around, and if it is, it will largely be due to support from game developers.

If you could only have ONE game make its way to the Nintendo Switch, which game would it be?
