Last year Nintendo decided not to showcase anything at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, one of the biggest events in gaming. This year they’ll be returning, undoubtedly showcasing many of the games talked about in the past two Nintendo Direct conferences. The return of Nintendo means that the company understands how important it is to showcase their projects, which means we should get more hands on previews with games that the console sorely needs. Other publishers that are slated to appear this year include Bethesda, EA, Konami, Warner Brothers, Wargaming, Deep Silver, and Microsoft. Microsoft is a welcome appearance as well, as the company decided to skip the conference in favor of other outlets. Gamescom is being held this year in Cologne from August 21-25. Or all this will be at E3 and then a bunch of newer stuff will be shown at Gamescom. We’ll see. 😛 DragonSilths All thats coming at E3. Gamescom isnt a very big thing compared to E3 or TGS. Chiwawa Holy crap! im so excited!!! SirDjss Metroid U 😛 Wayne Beck You have to understand something about these kind of events. Timing is everything. Gamescom will not likely result in any surprises from Nintendo. Their presence will most likely be dedicated to showing off the Holiday releases they premier at E3. If Nintendo wants to make an impact on Wii U sales this year, they have to Focus on Summer Events. If they do have a Surprise announcement, it will only be one. SeroReviews ” Microsoft is a welcome appearance as well, as the company decided to skip the conference in favor of other outlets. ” Okay… this is Microsoft Daily? LOL Laud Nothing wrong with mentioning competitors, stop acting like a child. Sylux What’s wrong with Microsoft being there aswell, they have a games console and with the speculations about the new xbox I think it’s a very good choice from them to go there, perhaps Sony could follow microsofts footsteps and also go there, nothing wrong with it.
