  • Child of Light looks amazeballs! Definitely getting that. 🙂

    • I don’t like roundbased games, but CoL is like 10-15 hours which I guess is OK, especially considering what you’ll get here =)

  • BIG Franky

$15 for Child of Light & $15 for NES Remix 2…… bye bye $30 for me!

    • 15 bucks for COL game sounds reasonable, especially if you’ve watched all those making ofs. They truly have put one hell of an effort into that game. And the best thing about it is, that I currently got a 5$-code from my premium and I’ll get another one with Mario Kart 8, then I guess I’m gonna buy COL for 5bucks =)

Wow. Didn’t realize Child of Light was coming so soon. Great news!

  • palomino blue

I might actually pick up Child of Light for that price. I wasn’t too excited since it’s digital only but that’s a really fair digital price. Also, I’ll buy every Remix released until the end of time.

  • Sam

    I’m gonna get Yoshi’s Island.

  • Lil J Moore

    nice releases this week

  • darkcreap

In europe we got NES Remix 2, but not Child of Light. I guess it will arrive the next week. I already bought the Gameboy Advance version of Yoshi’s Island. Not 100% satisfied due to the controls and some lesser quality in some sound effects, but in general the music seems to be like the SNES version. What a great game.

my question is this – why the hell not port over the snes version? it’s awesome (although i have not seen this gba game in action).

      • darkcreap

I think it is something related with the SuperFX 2 chip that the game had.

  • Gabe Hoffman

Did anyone hear that the Mario Kart 8 bundle has pretty much been confirmed for Europe

  • Blue Hernandez

Tomorrow is payday and CoL will be mine… oh yes. it will be mine….

club nintendo has some new game rewards added for at least NA because of them taking down their physical rewards while updating systems

  • Chad Dodsworth

Child of Light doesn’t come out until April 30th.

  • Michael Ocampo

When I see people put “col” i instantly think of Call of Duty lol

  • I am Error.

Kind of pumped about Remix 2.
Kinda bummed that in the space of ONE MONTH we already went from 3 VC releases a week to 2 to 1. Welcome, GBA titles… I’m hoping you don’t get abandoned.

  • A SNES Day Off

So pleased with Remix 2, I honestly didn’t think they could improve it any more. The trouble now is that I’m eagerly awaiting a Remix 3!

On another note, there are some interesting design choices in this game. The one that stands out most is that, despite being one big promotional tool for the Virtual Console, Nintendo opted for the SNES version of Super Mario Bros. 3 from ‘All Stars’. And as a little easter egg, they even put in the World 1 theme tune from that version of the game on the main menu.

That surely means they have an emulated (and approved) version of All Stars lurking away. Who else is willing to bet that they will release this on the VC in the future? It just seems odd that they would feature a game – or at least a version of it – that is currently not for sale on the eShop.
