Gradius!!!! Ashley, have you guys heard any more news as to when Unepic is coming to the eshop?

    • Hey, not yet! We just know it’s coming. I’ve been following the developers updates since that’s one of my favorite PC indie titles, so I’ll keep you updated.

      • ICHI

I’ve been holding off buying it on the pc to fully enjoy the Wii u version as a new shiny thing. It looks great though, and am looking forward to more updates. Thanks tor the reply 🙂

    • Edward

On the Developers Enjoy Up Games twitter they have 3 screenshots of the game on the Wii U.

      • ICHI

        On my way!

    • Arthur Jarret

I always get excited when I see a Gradius release.

Then I realize I got it confused with the vastly superior (read: my personal favorite) Parodius again…

      • ICHI

Oh no, I can agree to a certain level Parodius is a great series of games (especially Sexy Parodius) But Gradius (or Salamander) was the first side scrolling shmup I owned on a home console. Of course I had R-Type on the ZX Spectrum, but this game is something a little more special to me, and hard to boot. Everyone loves the Vic Viper 😉

        • Arthur Jarret

Actually, the first shoot ’em up I played – not counting some vague game which I can no longer find the title of on my atari that had me shooting what seemed like sandwiches (triangles) and hamburgers (Three horizontal dual-colored stripes) – was parodius on the gameboy. I loved the giant bosses, and available aircraft!

          and Hmmm, sexy parodius.
I am now unable to think of anything else to say.

          • ICHI

I hope you have played sexy parodius! It’s one of the best shooters ever, still no gradius though.

I am sad they stopped the Zelda releases. No Link to the Past or Awakening for us…

    • Andrew W Garttmeyer

Yes, I was really thinking they were releasing Zelda games up until Wind Wakers’ release…no Link to the Past (easily my favorite). bleh.

      • Andrew Chambers

Maybe their waiting for a Link Between Worlds? It’d be a great time to sell SNES games on the 3DS eShop.

  • Thanks for the list :3 Nothing terribly exciting for me this time, but we’ll get stuff soon hopefully 😀

    • Ken Seymour

Agreed, I really think they are dropping the ball on the VC. Japan got Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy VI back during the summer and we didn’t and it is about time they released some Nintendo 64 and Gamecube games. Why only NES and SNES still??

      • *shrugs*

      • Magnus Eriksson

Zelda ALttP, Secret of Mana, FF6, Chrono Trigger are all top games that we eventually will see before a N64 release. But they probably wont release all those goodies at once. Then you have other great titles as SMB3, Super Punch Out, Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, Contra-series etc. We will probably see them too before any release of N64. My guess is that we wont see a N64 on VC in the nearest future. My guess is earliest sometime in 2014.

  • Aleks

No $ for you again this week WiiU Virtual Console.

    • val berger

It’s too bad, for weeks I’d really like to buy something. If there would just be more SNES deals. Yoshi’s Island or Link to the Past would be supercool.

      • Aleks

I could not agree more. Whoever chooses the weak trickle of WiiU VC games, for anywhere but Japan, needs to be fired 11 monthes ago!

        • Magnus Eriksson

I think it starts to look better now, but I agree that the way N. chose to do VC is not very good.

      • NintendoNoob

Or N64 games, My N64 just broke and I really want to play an N64 game now

        • Connor Devlin

Yeah, Totally We should be able to play them by now. We can use the pro controller or something.

      • Connor Devlin

Or Zombies ate my neighbors, or even cool spot.

    • Magnus Eriksson

Zelda II and Gradius here, athough they did cost only 1$. But I will easy drop DK3 when it comes this direction.

  • YoG99

I would sell my girlfriend for Super Mario Kart on the virtual console.

    Wait … maybe not … 🙂

    • Yobrolo

I would too sell your girlfriend for super mario kart

It’s starting to be a nice match for my Like and Yeah collections. My downvote collection is a bit lacking, though… I should seriously work on that.

        • YogiGRB

          nope, don’t. downvotes aren’t needed
