  • Donkey Kong and Zelda being only 50 dollars is a big win too 🙂 Not to mention Wii Party U coming with a remote plus for only 50!

    • palomino blue

that’s a win right there for the remote plus.

      • then I’ll have an extra remote so I can trade my Wii in at gamestop

        • Ducked

Lol, and that can go to another game

        • Elitepwnsface

Sounds like we need a copy without the remote haha.

          • Guest

            why’s that?

          • Elitepwnsface

His original post he stated he had to many remotes. Almost sounded like he wanted another and one trade in one of his old ones idk. He miss typed his post.

          • oops! See my edit.

        • Magnus Eriksson

I have one Wii Mote in white. Three Wii Mote+, one in pink, one in blue, one in gold (Skyward Sword) so I might buy this one too just to get a full four with Wii Mote+ 🙂 When I think of it. I got hell of a lot controllers for Nintendo – to many… These four + Gamepad, Balance Board, two Wii U Pro controller, Wii Classic controller and Wii Classic Pro Controller. And of course I got four steering wheels for Mario Kart too… Its kind of to much stuff really 😀

          • yeah, it’s a LOT of controllers and accessories when you get down to it. I honestly dont know anyone who doesnt have at least ONE wii remote lying around their house

          • val berger

it’s too much. I really do like nintendo, but when it comes to this amount of different devices, it’s really just too much. they should either combine stuff or cut it, no one wants to have that much plastic lying around in their living room. with the WiiU things got even worse after I didn’t believe they could after the Wii. maybe I just like simple solutions more than other people but hope with the next system, Nintendo’s gonna take the best aspects of all peripherals and create some single solution that won’t create that much trash. It’s ok to have an extra balance board, but 3 different controllers, hell no.

          • ScrewAttack

I only keep one wii remote plus and my gamepad, though I’ll be picking up at least one pro controller closer to christmas too. I was just glad to retire all the wii remotes!

          • blindtiger

having different control options is what makes wii u versatile… you dont have to buy them all.

it comes with a gamepad, uses wiimotes for multiplayer and the pro is a “hardcore” option.

i am personally glad all the controllers i bought last gen are still usable and i dont have to sell them for pennies…

          • val berger

true that, reusing my golden zelda wiimote+ somehow makes it even more unique. I just think they should just have sticked to the Wiimote/nunchuck. I personally don’t need the new Pro controller and the gamepad’s pro-controller mechanics that much. On the Wii I kinda liked how developers were forced to think with the Wiimote while things got more fragmented with the WiiU. Often you have to control something with analog sticks where it would be more fun to be able to use the Wiimote as it’s better suited to control for instance First Person Shooters. What you said that I can use whatever I want is only the case with 1st/2d party games, not most 3rd party ports and while 3rd party games may not be such a big deal on nintendo consoles, its still not as consistent as it should be. But yeah, I totally see the advantages of this whole mess as it’s easier to port something like Assassin’s creed to work with a pro controller and so on. Everything just isn’t such a straight solution like it used to be.

          • David John Gifford

true the ony thing ive needed to buy for my wii u is games

          • David John Gifford

i use gamepad or wii remote for everything and thats only 2 whats the problem

        • bizzy gie

          And get 9 cents.

      • val berger

agreed. Didn’t really think of buying that game, but after Nintendo land was crazy fun playing with 4 friends, this seems to be a very nice deal there.

      • RyuNoHadouken

if you can find some copies of Fling Smash for Wii, they come with a remote plus and theyre only like $10…i bought 2 from toys r us when i got my day one wii U

        • jay

That’s actually a really fun game, especially 2-player.

    • Ducked

I know right, I was going to wait on Tropical Freeze, but now I’m snagging it for sure.

    • incoherent1

Yes! Combined with yesterday’s price cut, this is an insane deal on those games. You can basically get a Wii U with three awesome new games for the same price as a PS4 with none (get the Zelda bundle with DK and one other).

    • Magnus Eriksson

Hmmm… I think they are too expensive with the Zelda game. No matter how good it is its still a remake of an Gamecube game. There is a great lot of stuff they didnt have to do that they have to do with brand new games. And there is a quite big possibility many of the Wii U owners are people who had Windwaker… That said, I didnt play WW myself so Ill definitly get it anyways. But is that true for those who did play it before too?

      • val berger

absolutely. 90% of the work they put into the game has already been finished with the gamecube version. It’s really nice that they added some additional arguments to play through it again, but at this pricetag I’d expect far more. If they’d included those extra dungeons, I would have paid that money but it doesn’t really seem to me that they really changed anything crucial. A hero mode where you won’t find hearts and take more damage is something a trainee can code in 5 minutes. shader libraries aren’t that complex either. I just don’t see why I should pay the price of a modern game for this. And I don’t like the argument that games nowadays are like 60-70 bucks because I usually don’t pay those prices either. And I got Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, even GTA V for less than 50 bucks each, so this isn’t just a no brainer, but a no buyer for me ;D

        • ScrewAttack

Yeah, I’ll be waiting til it’s on sale for like £25. £40 will buy a brand new title I haven’t already completed several times. Like you say, not putting in those missing dungeons was a mistake.

      • Magnus Eriksson

Downvoting that Im buying the game or that I think the game is too expensive for old users to buy it? Crazy.

    • val berger

I don’t really think it’s a win if a HD remake costs the same as an original game. Not even if it’s a Zelda game. Sure, they put some work into it,but I wouldn’t pay more than 40 bucks for it.
And usually Nintendo doesn’t set it’s pricetags too high so I don’t really think there’s gonna be any 70-bucks game anytime soon coming from Big N.
Another reason why Wind Waker HD is just overpriced especially because, if i remember correctly, only the digital download of WW HD costs 50bucks while the retail version costs even 60 bucks (which would be ridiculous)
I’d like too see 40$ for the download, 50$ for the retail disc.

      • RyuNoHadouken

retail is 50…its 60 with the Ganon figurine

        • val berger

thanks, didn’t get that. s50 bucks are still too overpriced but +10bucks for some collectible works for me.

    • disqus_sgtob6da3X

Rip my wallet of fall 2013!

  • Schultz38

Why is Party and DK only $50? Not that I’m complaining.

    • because Nintendo loves us

      • jay

How could anyone down-vote his comment?

        • i dunno XD

        • Daniel Gonzalez

Well, it’s simple. They didn’t agree with Zorpix. Is it a bad thing to be downvoted due to a different opinion or disagreement? 😛

      • Daniel Gonzalez

I think they love your money a bit more. Lol.

        • Eh. nowhere near as greedy as the XBone 😉

          • Daniel Gonzalez

All three are the same. It’s about money. Though, I do agree with Microsoft being greedy. No doubts there.

          • Microsoft and Sony are the only ones making you pay to play online with your friends.

            I’m just sayin

          • Daniel Gonzalez

So? I’m willing to pay 5 bucks a month. That’s little money. Besides, what online does Nintendo have in comparison to Sony and Microsoft? There is none. I’m not trying to say that Wii U sucks, but when it comes online, it fails big time.

That money goes to paying for servers as well as maintenance. For 5 bucks a month, it’s a fair price. Not everything in life comes free. Just saying.

          • online miiverse: It’s great
Online games: Yeah it needs more…

Honestly, I’ve just always thought playing games online with your friends should be free. personal preference

          • Daniel Gonzalez

It would be nice if that were so, but as a business, sometimes not everything can be free. I think it’s only a matter of time until Nintendo follows along. I guess for me I don’t mind the 5 bucks a month business model. To each their own and if it’s not worth it to you, that’s cool too.

          • That’s true, it is a business. It’s just one of those things I always felt should be free. Sure, maybe a subscription for like, cross game chat, etc. things like that. but not basic functionality.

  • JBeauregard

So nice to see dates so that I can budget… or collect bottles…. to get the new games!

  • I want ZeldaWWHD, Mario 3DW, W101, Wii U Party and Wii U fit. Though I don’t know if I can afford all those. So chances are I’ll get W101, Zelda and Wii U Party.

    • Pikachief

Thats a lot of “W”‘s lol

      • jay

        L M A O ! !

    • Wayne Beck

I Hit the Jackpot for this fall lineup. Boss said I can do as much overtime as I want for the next few weeks so long as I have work that can be done. I have a LOT of work to do. =)

      • jay

        “Work Hard Play Hard”

      • Lucky. I’d work OT too if possible. Just for all the games. lmao

  • Ducked

It’s going to be very interesting sharing lives in Super Mario 3D World.

And what happened to Super Mario 3D World coming in December, and Tropical Freeze coming in November?

    • Guest

It’s called Super Mario 3D World…Not land and 3D land came out on the 3ds a few years ago

      • Guest

Oh did i hurt a few peoples feeling for telling the truth..Need a tissue?

        • Daniel Gonzalez

          Talking to yourself?

      • Ducked

Sorry about that, I tried editing it in time.

  • Guest

Cool I will get Zelda in sept and Mario 3d world in nov but Tropical Freeze i’ll pass..Im not a fan of those games and with zelda coming early in sept i will have to pass on Rayman as well..Sorry UBI but zelda comes first

  • Nintyfan

Wind Waker HD digital version 2 weeks earlier than the retail version is a good and smart move. This is better than Pikmin 3’s 1 day early access.

    • Selena Gomez

Man… That’s mean of Nintendo, seriously-.- They can drop the price of the digital version by 20$ or even more, I don’t care, but dafuq, why release it 2 weeks EARLIER then the retail version?
I want the Special Edition one with the Ganodorf figurine and the game as early as possible… C’mon this is really unfair…

      • shut up selena no one likes you anymore you lost your “hotness”

        • Elitepwnsface

Oh id hit that. But if she ever turned into the current Miley, I would back off real quick.

        • jay

This is SELENA you’re thinking of Miley.

      • ezquimacore

        you can’t even sing

      • Arthur Jarret

You can pick up a gamecube for 20 bucks and play the game today… then get the HD version with ganondorf figurine when it comes out.

        • Selena Gomez

          I have the game lol^^

But I want the Wii U Version.
anyways, it has been confirmed, that in europe, the retail and digital version will be released at the same day.

          • Arthur Jarret

Yes, europe wins once again! (sorry)

I’m still feeling sore about missing out on mario baseball (whatever its called) and excitebots on wii, baten kaitos origins on gamecube, half the library of n64 etc.

I do like how Mario superstar baseball PAL on gamecube is extremely rare.

    • TULFich

      Macro bithces, macro!!!

    • tooby77

But u cant play it until the day it released. Think i read that somewere

    • Elitepwnsface

The only way i would buy digital is if there was a discount. But this could be said across all consoles.

      • Fred

You do get a discount. If you buy this digitally you’ll get $5 back with the deluxe digital promotion

        • Elitepwnsface

You can’t assume everyone has the deluxe.

          • Fred

Are you saying you bought a basic?
I assumed that because over 90% of systems sold were Deluxe

          • jay

BUT what about the other %10? And when does this promotion end?

            Think about everyone.

          • Fred

The other 10% don’t get the discount. Don’t tell me to think of everyone I didn’t choose to make the promotion exclusive. The promotion doesn’t end until after Christmas…2014 plently of time to buy any of the games we’re discussing here

          • Elem187

My wife bought me a basic… its perfect, the $50 she saved purchased my 1,500gb drive..
So really I have a 1,500gb Wii U for $350…. 1,500 is better than 32, no? And I didn’t like Nintendoland when I rented it sooooo

The only problem I have now is I have SOOOOOOO much space to fill.. I can fit over 300 copies of Pikmin 3 on it.. so the space should be enough for the entire generation.

          • Fred

People have tried to tell me that the Basic doesn’t make sense for anyone.
It wasn’t right for me, but I agree if you don’t want Nintendo Land then it’s possible that it’s right for you.

          • Elitepwnsface

Correct. I bought it and used the $50 to get a game, plus i already had a 1 tb hard drive ready to use for the WII U. N Land seemed premative to me(Lack of better words.)

          • Fred

Well, maybe digital isn’t for you then. Personally I love buying digital. I’m always afraid my kids are going to lose-break my discs and I’ll admit it I’m lazy. the few games I actually have on disc don’t get played much because I don’t want to get off the couch to switch discs

    • jay

I was gonna email Nintendo around the time of the Wii U launch and give them this early-digital-release idea. But it turns out they don’t accept ideas from 3rd parties.

Nice to see they thought of it anyway. From a business perspective this is a win-win for both Nintendo and their customers.

  • Javy G

I can’t wait that long for the physical copy Windwaker! …I did buy the pre-order but the waiting is going to kill me knowing it’s already available on eShop.

  • Josiah Parsons

My spidy senses tell me that DKC:TF will be quite popular being $10 cheaper than normal. most popular: Wii Fit, DK, Mario and Sonic at Sochi.

    • jay

      Donkey Kong SELLS brudda!

    • Elem187

I think its intentional by Nintendo to have as many $50 games on the shelf as possible so when parents do their holiday shopping, the Wii U section will not only dwarf the xBone/PS4 section, but alot of the games will be far cheaper than the PS4/xBone games.

      • Fred

Game and Wario is a great value at $40 and Wii Party U is an even better value with a game Wii controller and gamepad stand for only $50

  • Selena Gomez

Soooo… When do you think Mario Party 10, Mario Tennis U and Link’s Sniper Training (you know, a sequel to the Link’s Crossbow training, just with the GamePad as a Sniper-Scope) will be announced? 😛

  • Nintendo4life

Which game to get …Zelda or Rayman

    • BIG Franky

ummm…. thats easy…. do what I’m doing and get BOTH.

      • Nintendo4life

I quess i will get zelda because i want GTA 5 also

        • jay

Heck ya. This is what I like to hear. open-minded gamers.

Tired of hearing people call WW a “Baby gaeme” and GTA “Maturez”. They’re BOTH just GAMES!! HAVE FUN!!

          • Nintendo4life

Right on ..I get tired of the console wars crap..I will own ps4 and wii u and will get what games i want for whatever console

  • Elitepwnsface

Looks like i might be cancelling my ps4 preorder and going full Nintendo this fall/winter…

    • val berger

Anyways, like every console, the PS4 will be more interesting 1-2 years after it’s launch as well

      • Elem187

Correct. All new consoles go through growing pains with bugs, software droughts…. Nintendo went through a really brutal spell in its first year of the Wii U, but it looks like its recovering jsut in time for Christmas.
Next Christmas I’ll make a decision if the PS4 has something I want. So far all the software shown off, exclusive or multiplat really didn’t excite me…. So far it looks like the same shoot em up fare we have had for the last 7 years… maybe sony will surprise me with something more interesting than Brown/Grey shooters with a prettier coat of paint.

  • I want Best Buy to update their site with the Wind Waker pre-order that includes the Ganandorf figurine. I have the game pre-ordered but would like to get the figurine if possible.

    • Farespokemon

I thought the figurine is exclusive to gamestop!

      • jay

Oh hell no. I hope not. They’re known for screwing people over with pre-orders.

        • BIG Franky

FWIW, I’ve pre-ordered dozens of items from GameStop and have never had a problem…any issues is probably specific to location and the incompetence of the staff at that particular store.
and yes, the Ganondorf figure is a GameStop exclusive.

  • BIG Franky

Wii Party was easily the most played game of the last generation consoles at my house…. when we got that is when the PS3 started collecting dust….. it was one of the few games that my wife actually played and enjoyed. it was something that is simple, intuitive and just plain fun that anyone can pick-up and play. so, for tha treason…. Wii Party U is a no-brainer for us.

  • david jarman

I’m actually excited for wii u party. Still would like a mario party, but this looks really fun. Plus! Wii remote!!!

  • Fred

    On my Yes list
    Wii Party U

    On my Maybe List
    Zelda WW
    Donkey Kong
    Wonderful 101
    Mario and Sonic

    3DS maybe list
    Mario Party

  • Christopher Acuna

Mario 3d World!!! I didn’t get it for 3ds so I am pretty excited for that one 🙂

    • Agent721

Same here…its the game Im actually the most excitted about!

    • Justin Carlson

I don’t think it’s the same game. Just the same game style.

  • Kaleb

I want pokemon X/Y, and Windwaker because of all the new features and to the fact I played it for days straight one summer, also Mario 3D world looks very interesting

  • Jon

hmm… if I can afford them…. ALL THE GAMES!

  • Agent721

We can download Windwaker in just a few weeks??? If its discounted, I might just do that.

  • only god can judge me

My birthday is november 22 and super mario 3d world will be a great birthday gift.

  • audi lover

All of them bar wii u fit and mario and sonic

    • jay

Ha those are some of my favorites! So physical!

  • aldo2410

My wallet is already in agony, now before christmas my wallet will be declared dead, please pray for my wallet.

  • MujuraNoKamen

YAY, good news, great to see some games going a bit cheaper.
Although, is this schedule only for NA or global? Also, I thought 3D World was to launch is December and DK to launch in November looks like they’ve swapped them around – not a complaint just an observation.

  • Madmagican

I’m still waiting on a Shovel Knight release date
…I know it’s the dev’s first game but last I heard it was set for September and we all know that’s right upon is

  • Shermon MK-1

Yess, wii u party with black wiimote plus, just what i need! :D, my current one is some stupid messed up one that has short battery and shuts off in intense motion

  • Kev

Wii Party U with wiimote plus = automatic purchase for me.

  • I am a music artist and I love NINTENDO!! haha

  • Aleks

Ok, anyone have a good reason why a digital copy is in NO WAY discounted compared to the hard copy that requires shipping and packaging and a booklet etc? Cuz’ i cant think of a good one. Nintendo, like any other business, is in the business of collecting MONEY, they happen to make games. I am not going to be taken advantage of if i can help it. Also lets not forget, a digital copy cant be shared, taken to a neighbors house, lent or sold. Not really my intention to just bitch- giant fan of Nintendo GAMES, NOT always a fan of Nintys sometimes offensive business sense. Hard copies for me(while they still exist),thanks.

  • Dave_Val

Zelda, DK and Mario 3D World will come to my house this holiday ^_^

  • Aleks

Im such a spoiled consumer lol, ive already digested these games in my imagination. Im ready for the 2014 release list now. Please and thanks.

  • Mykdee

WWHD digital sales will be driven up by those staggered release dates..count me in for day 1 digital!

  • Rax189

You know several means three… Right?

    • Ryan House

A few means three. a couple means 2
