If you have been able to get your hands on one of the notoriously elusive NES Classic Mini consoles this holiday season, you probably hate how short the cord on the controller is. It’s about 3 feet long, which is great if you’re a kid sitting cross-legged in front of the TV, but let’s face it, most of us prefer to sit a bit further back now that we’re all grown up.

8bitdo has recognized the need for something a bit more elegant, that’s why they’re working on a wireless receiver and controller for the NES Classic Mini. If that controller looks familiar, it’s because it’s from the same company who made the Bluetooth classic NES controller that I reviewed on Wii U Daily a few years ago.

You can pre-order the wireless NES Classic Mini controller for $39.99 on Amazon. If you’re concerned about the price of the controller, you should know that it is a standard Bluetooth controller so it will be compatible with any system that uses Bluetooth, too.
