Dec 13th, 2012

It’s been a while since we’ve posted some Wii U box art here. Most of the current and upcoming games for the Wii U were announced and revealed a long time ago. With the exception of Need For Speed Most Wanted. In fact, the game is yet to be “officially” confirmed by EA for the Wii U. During the last EA earnings report, it was leaked that Need For Speed Most Wanted was coming to the Wii U, and now we even have the official box art before we have an announcement.

The box art was spotted on the site of Canadian retailer Future Shop, who also estimates the release date of the game: March 12, 2013. The game launched last month on other platforms. Check out the box art below:

[UPDATE] It turns out that EA did confirm NFS Most Wanted for the Wii U back in October.

  • Actually, guys, EA did officially announce NFSMW for Wii U in late October.

    Google is your friend 😉

  • Yes.

  • Linkamus

    Lol… research fail!

  • uPadWatcher

Is it a sequel or just the title remains the same, Wii U Daily?

  • Marioravestozelda

Buying this when it comes out for sure

  • grandlx2

I hope they take advantage of the Wii U’s power. No game yet has put a “next gen” feel to any Wii U yet. That’s been released at least. Aliens from Sega does look good though. I hope NFS2 looks better than the old gen consoles ps3/360. If not visually appealing, I’ll skip it. I want to buy a game that’s visually appealing. Hopefully this will be it. 🙂

    • Yup Agree… I will do the same thing, hopefully I can try to play the demo first

    • PorkNBeans73

Companies under the EA umbrella are known for porting things over, don’t count on any EA title pushing the envelope.

    • Weraru

so you judge games based on graphics. That’s LAME

  • Gabe Hoffman

I just hope they don’t rush the game

  • masonphillip5321

has anymore seen that Zelda: the lost oracle fan made clip? I think the next Zelda game would look similar to that. It looks good kinda like an hd wind waker or skyward sword

  • They shouldn’t even bother releasing this game for the Wii U… was crap….

    • Stephen

Whoa whoa whoa, WHAT. This is one of the best racing games ever made. It’s not a true “racing game” but open-world racing games rarely are. Man… you’re entitled to your opinion and all, but boy are you in the minority. 🙁

      • okay, maybe i was a bit harsh….but I have gotten accustomed to NFS games where you buy the cars and the upgrades……not ride around and find the cars, or do races for the cars and upgrades….the iOS/Android version allows you to actually buy the cars…..

  • Johny

probably wont get it… but its a good sing that multiplats are coming to wii u… which is good

  • although the game is somewhat “ok” i already bought it for the ps3 and the iPad/iPhone.. for it is just burnout paradise city 1.5 there is no way i am going to pay a third time for that game. sorry. good for newcomers in the console business, but for people who already owned another console this is VERY underwhelming news.

  • I am posting from my wii u! I think i am in love with it.

    • I may now pronounce you man and machine, you may kiss the Wii U

  • Guymelef

just glad this comes out for Wii U.

  • I can’t wait to get this game for the Wii U =3

  • DarkYoshi

Box Art for NFS:MW 2? This box art is exactly like the original Most Wanted…

  • Nintendofreak

dont give a fuck about racing games i played years ago…me want new metroid, zelda, kirby, and for christ sake a new earthbound or xenoblade chronicles 2

  • Casey Kester

Posting from my wii u. Love it!! Its nice that a lot of third parties are supporting the wii u.

  • That box says Wii game, cheap and boring – don’t buy me!

    •  Pretty much the same box art as the 360 with a different banner at the top?  I don’t see your point

  • Destiny64

    yess!!!   25fps/s   😀

  • I got this for my 360, but i cant see it being any better on the wii’ im not including the U just yet as iv seen nothing that impresses me on the console. Joypadjunkie74 is my wii u gamer tag before people rip into me for being a fanboy which im not. Just not impressed with wii 64 at the moment
