Monster Hunter Frontier G is an online title that was released for PC and Xbox 360 in Japan earlier this year. It will be coming to PlayStation 3 and Wii U this holiday season, according to the most recent Famitsu magazine. This game does have a monthly fee attached to play in Japan. The actual download for the game is available for free and those who want can purchase a physical copy for 6,090 yen. Monster Hunter Frontier G is an upgraded version of Monster Hunter Frontier, with new weapons, armors, quests, and monsters. Trophy functions are being tested for the PlayStation 3 version and both the Wii U and PlayStation 3 version will have a beginner’s pack of weapons and armor. For the Wii U version, the game will be compatible with the GamePad and the Pro Controller, but the Wii remote and nunchuk won’t be supported. Currently this information is for the Japanese version of the game, there’s no word on whether or not this upgraded version of the game will make its way into Western markets. Are you up for a new Monster Hunter already? local_offer capcom monster hunter frontier g Nintendo wii u stars Further Reading F-Zero X gets updated on Wii U to fix control New Zelda Breath of the Wild trailer and game Super Mario Maker Wii U vs 3DS comparison (vi Get Ocarina of Time on 3DS for only $14 New teaser site for Zelda: Breath of the Wild released How to track NES Classic Mini stock in time for Christmas Zombie Boy Monster Hunter Frontier G with online fees, or Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which is free to play online… Hmmm… Still, nice to see it coming to the Wii U. lonewolf88 dude trust me it is worth it. the game is amazing. Zombie Boy I believe you. I just really hope that this isn’t the start of Nintendo charging for online play. lonewolf88 na its capcom and for all we know online may be free we probably won’t know for sure until the next direct. Andreas Sunde Nintendo won’t suddenly start charging for online play in the middle of a generation. If they do, I’ll stick to Sony for online. At least they give me a ton of games in return. Sdudyoy Don’t worry this game has been on PC for a couple of years now, frontier not frontier G. Ace J yeah its capcom charging for online play. ps3 and wii u online services are free RockieOllie I hope this game comes too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzVqdrxGUEQ Ony (it wont) (sorry ;_;) RockieOllie Your most likely right, but I would like to see it happen. I mean this version wasn’t coming to the Wii U initially , now it is. Maybe the same will happen. Ony It’ll come outside of China in one or two years I guess, with a little chance… but certainly not now 🙁 (Ironically, that’s a MonHun that will NOT be released in Japan.) Baum 「ツリー」 Nobody wants Online, trust me that game is worse than the Felyne Village games xDD It looks like total shit (the graphics, the visuals are awesome), plays like shit and all in all is nothing like a true MonHan game should be 😀 Lusunup total agreement an besides monster hunter online was made by capcom & chinas tech dev. and made a horrible version that doesn’t even have the right bgm music and doesn’t even match the exact time when they spot you. Ballzbeard That running GS attack gives me a chubby every time. AAAkabob Ehh get us MH4 instead Zorpix Do you realize what you said? MH frontier is WAY bigger than 4 J_Joestar sheer size isn’t everything though, 4 brings us new weapons and new mechanics and totally new monsters, Frontier has some evolved mechanics like slightly more varied attacks and combos as well as a larger collection of monsters. It is really more preference until frontier gets enough updates to basically have all the things 4 has, and i doubt that’ll happen until they are getting ready to announce 5. Zorpix We also dont know enough about 4, really. 4 looks like a huge upgrade in terms of combat and how the terrain affects you, but MH frontier is an online subscription game that is always updating and changing, getting new expansions, etc. Its a tough choice at least lonewolf88 MH 4 = every monster plus monsters never seen while MH4 will probably only have like 4 different monsters. i forget but i think there are HR 500 quest in frontier. Ony I was like HHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa and I remembered that this game is just for selfish Japan. boo D: SonicLucario Ehhh well at least its another game for us right? Im still waiting for Batman Arkham Origins, AC4, and Splinter Cell Blacklist for my WiiU, I just hope ppl will play with me online lol xD The Clockwork Being Monster hunters 4 in HD for the Wii U would be better. Arthur Jarret I’d prefer Monster Hunter 5th generation that is built from the ground up for Wii U (or any HD console, for that matter) – instead of an upscaled port of a portable game Ony 2016 perhaps. lonewolf88 maybe i think capcom will deside by looking at what console it sells best on. fliadaloisio ….. JBeauregard Ah, such a deceiving head line. It had me thinking we’d have it in the States, too. Bummer! J_Joestar to be fair, the “G” should have been a dead giveaway. No MH games have retained the “G” in the names when localized. Zorpix COME ON COME ON I AM THE BIGGEST MH FAN IN AMERICA AND I NEED THIS I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR FRONTIER FOR LIKE YEARS AND NOW ITS ON WII U I think I finally understand why region lock is a bitch ;~; Cesar Barroso online fee? it is a hard market in the west. Zorpix I will sell my soul Ony Let’s start learning Japanese and we’ll live in there :3 Zorpix I already know a good bit. lonewolf88 NO I AM I PLAYED FRONTIER ON MY PC WHEN IT WAS JAPAN ONLY I COMPLETELY CONVERTED MY PC! it is amazing. Zorpix ;~; dont tempt me Truthteller This is part of the reason the Wii U is undesirable – they are putting any type of old games on the system instead of Wii U built games. It gives the impression that the Wii U can’t do much. http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2013/07/31/nintendo-earnings-disappoint-as-wii-u-sales-continue-to-fall/?partner=yahootix Ace J didn’t i tell you to get out of here? kevin nun—- You are right at some points, just not in the part the a Wii U is undesirable, that’s just your take on it and probably others as well. However there are people like me who do find it very attractive in its beauty. Will.F. Martinez I need this game to release state side. Was waiting for a 360 to come, but on the wiiu is even better. I’ll pay for the online I know it’ll be worth it!!! May not be big for most but if you’ve been playing MH for awhile you already how I feel Yousif Alromaithi Oh man Nintendo announce a new direct next month. $41809923 YES BRING IT TO THE USA CANT WAIT FOR IT Yugi lol even more old games for wiiu lonewolf88 dude this is the best monster hunter and its new to the west. lonewolf88 omg this game is amazing trust me…. it is awesome…. if this comes to america then wii U will be like boom lol. THIS GAME IS AMAZING! Lusunup Omg I screamed like a lil girl! this is sweet! but then I read ahead and feel very sad.. this articles need to be more specific In my opinion. Sdudyoy As much as I would like this to come to the US or other American country’s I’m happy It’s coming to Wii u at all, but I do remember this being talked about a while ago? Kriffix Amazing news! Luffy nice! bring all the monster hunter to wii u! i love monster hunter! 🙂 TrueWiiMaster Wait, so it’s a free-to-download Monster Hunter with a subscription fee? ICHI Yes FungalSpawn No way this makes it to the U.S. J_Joestar Nintendo should put some effort and publish this in the West. It would be useful so that when people complain that 4 is only on the 3DS, they’ll have an alternative. And the really dedicated MH fan can even get both! ETeach Does this mean I can download it, delete it and still collect those ten Club Nintendo coins like Zen Pinball 2? :3 Wanderlei I want MH4 HD on Wii U like MH3U. Michael Jurado I just hit 1000 hours on monster hunter 3 ultimate Landonus Respect! I need to get back on… disqus_jnx8BgXLZd Good thing they ditched the Xbox already, that was the stupidest move Capcom ever made. Tim van Broekhoven I never… ever heard of this game? …. I’m doing something completely wrong….. XD Guest This new made my day so much better!
