Once again we’ve got a new batch of footage from the developers at Comcept. The game looks a bit more complete compared to the last batch footage we got, this time there are backgrounds and textures and even some stage hazards. This time we see not only level gameplay, but we also get to see some boss fights in action against Mighty Nos. 2 and 5! It’s really nice to see the game coming along, but what do you guys think? Does it look interesting to you? local_offer Comcept gameplay Mighty No. 9 Nintendo video wii u stars Further Reading F-Zero X gets updated on Wii U to fix control New Zelda Breath of the Wild trailer and game Super Mario Maker Wii U vs 3DS comparison (vi Get Ocarina of Time on 3DS for only $14 New teaser site for Zelda: Breath of the Wild released How to track NES Classic Mini stock in time for Christmas uPadWatcher Mighty No. 9… fighting to save the world!!!!!!! Mitch Hall SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT Kyle this can be better than megaman Sonic 2099 The Hedgehog No one can replace Mega Man Daniel Gonzalez It’s as close as we’ll get to anything Mega Man. Of course I’m interested. 🙂 Ghazbaran This game screams Mega Man all over the place, but I think it’s a good thing. If they make it right they can make a game that feels like Mega Man but has new features that might make it better in some aspects RGorgory this project is done by one of the creators of the Megaman Saga. He joined forces with many of his co-workers from CAPCOM to created a new character. But it’s Not Related to Megaman Story. He said that sadly he couldnt take the name of Megaman outside of CAPCOM. The Mighty Nº9 has many of the request asked for the Megaman-Fans that Campcom used to ignore. He asked for Economical support via KickStarters and that way he could assemble his team. (google mighty Nº9 to get more info) I hope to be able to watch – buy and play this game on WiiU or PC ActivesiN this game can’t come soon enough! anthony optimo Really hoping they will give #9 faster movement, without some upgrade. jjbredesen Hey Capcom, hire these devs! It looks really good, and it really makes me want a new Megaman game, picking this up for sure! Jason This game is made by Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man. He left Capcom, and made this game since he can’t use Mega Man anymore. William Cole It’s really sad too. That guy made megaman what it was. Now they just shut down megaman like he’s a nobody. Hopefully Smash will re-jog Capcom’s memory… and hopfully Nintendo will buy them out. Don’t think he created Megaman though. I believe he built upon the original character. Dallas Gooch If I remember correctly isn’t capcom selling their company? RezicG Nope. Their shares are just open for anyone to buy iirc. Joseph Oliveira Yes. But if a company buys more shares than what Capcom owns, they would own the company. EmperorIng1268 dat music! FutureFox You are getting the absolute best with this one. The cream of the crop. The real McCoy. “Renowned ex-Capcom composer, Takashi Tateishi (who has previously done work for Mega Man 2). He is joined by fellow composers such as Inti Creates’ Ippo Yamada and the previously announced Manami Matsumae to produce the music and sound for the game.” Hikingguy Looks like fun to me! JohnBRobinson This time we see not only level gameplay, but we also get to see some boss fights in action against Mighty Nos. 2 and 5! http://tr.im/5ntlz Jon looking forward to this so much 😀 Justin Carlson Why does it look like he is running WAY to hard to only move that fast? I think there is a little disconnect between his running animation and the distance he is moving. Hopefully they will get that worked out before release. … unless of course the entire game world is made of ice. FutureFox I look at it as his legs actually having some weight behind it. His little upper body has to work harder to throw his legs forward. Its robotic and fitting to me. Plus his little running-hop gets in sync with the music, its cool. Prizm That’s the way those later Megaman sprites looked, like they’re running on a treadmill. I assumed they were intentionally copying that trait. Tiago Gomes I dont know why do you like this game so much! Its the same old mega man crap all over again, it was superb years ago but now…come on, not even the quality of the game is good guys! BigotPride Where’s the game you are making? iamserious So no weapon upgrades or charge blasts in this one? Hmmm… FutureFox Little early to make that assumption. Einscengi As it said in the bottom right corner throughout the entire video, this game is a work-in-progress. You can’t assume that every feature is already going to be implemented this early in development. darkcreap Looks nice. Not my cup of tea, but I am glad that Megaman fans will get a similar game from Megaman’s original team. They deserve some love after Capcom’s mistreatment of Megaman. Sheldon Williams Man I can’t wait for this game. FutureFox I’m getting the impression this game will only appeal to those gamers you played the original megaman and up to MMX3. That is totally fine by me. I mean we’re getting a modernized version of a classic done by the same people with an intimate knowledge of proper game design that went into those classics. You can’t get much better than that. Brandon Burce Ur loss Capcom */* Felix Situ Is it available for the Wii U? Mike Yes! Felix Situ Hell Yeah! Rinslowe I’m warming up to it. 🙂 disqus_QNIAqtNpHo looks cool Jonathan Robitaille Thoroughly unimpressed. Shockingly so compared to my initial excitement which is lessening with each new reveal. Prizm Is this really much different from a 10 year old platformer? I was kinda looking forward to this, but it seems to be lacking any real appeal. I also don’t get how Inafune can make this so similar to Megaman and not get reprimanded by Capcom. I know he created Megaman, but like it or not, Capcom now own the rights to it. Unless they’re just turning a blind eye. FutureFox Have you seen Reven or Ghost Song? Prizm I had seen a little bit of Reven. If creators make their games too similar to obvious hits, then they run the risk of a legal battle if their game actually takes off. All depends on how much the game company is willing to tolerate though. FutureFox Capcom funded this game so I don’t think they have a problem with it. Here’s another article on the matter: http://www.p4rgaming.com/capcom-wishes-they-had-such-a-great-concept-like-keiji-inafunes-mighty-no-9/ This paragraph really jumped out at me. Its the last paragraph. “Tsujimoto also commented on another former Capcom employee Hideki Kamiya and his recent game, The Wonderful 101. He said that “Kamiya-san is welcome to return home as well. Nothing bad has happened to any of his franchises like Devil May Cry since he has left.” Needless to say those Capcom guys are clueless. oontz If capcom owns the rights to megaman and megaman’s design is copywrited… How is this game ever going to be released? It looks exactly like megaman. BigotPride How long does it take to make a platform game? David Trail Wow looks really good. This is why I do not care about the lack of third parties on Wii U.
